B Evans hits the spot. It’s a very under-rated chain for us younger folk. This location is located right near Meijer and jail, which makes it a prime locale to catch a nice bite to eat before you do your marketing or a nice stop to visit after you get out of the can for committing a dumb crime. Staff — I’ve been here multiple times — each time — very nice and accurate. (As long as you bring me my water and tomato juice — you alright!!!) Cleanliness — It’s clean. Food — Yummy — It can be hectic to get served quickly on days of when the walls are stacked«balls deep» but what do you expect, do you want good food served to order or do you want precooked eggs suffering under a heat lamp for a few hours… I swear upon the flaming sword of my homie Bro-hammed(inventor of the catch phrase Holla Akbar), I wanna punch people who complain about food wait times(order an app, go outside and smoke a cig, dance a jig for quarters) Quit complaining, it shall come soon and it shall taste all sorts of good. Things I like: Soup: Have you ever tried a fresh bowl of soup before, like a Chicken Noodle and thought it tasted good??? They sell those here — Try the Chicken Noodle Salad: I once had a salad with ranch dressing here before. It tasted like it came fresh from a farm in the heartland Midwest of American — cause I put Ranch Dressing all up & down that thing. The Midwest LOVES ranch and they have good ranch here. That is why we are all so god damn fat in the Midwest!!! Good salad though — fresh veggies I get to drown under a sea of creamy rancher’s dressing.(Tip — I always salt and pepper my salad 2 minutes before I eat my salad — it brings out natural flavors and brings out the juiciness) My go-to dinner here is… HOMESTEADBREAKFAST HOMESTEADBREAKFAST It’s basically a standard 2 egg breakfast with one meat, a thing of home fries or hash browns and the toast is replaced with biscuits and gravy. Tasty as hell though. I like B Evan’s sausage links and the eggs over easy with my Homestead, I’m old fashioned. Biscuits taste great — they aren’t the cheesy biscuits from Red Lobster, but they are good. I just rip it in little pieces and throw it in the gravy… toss it around like a pork fat fondue and enjoy each bite. Potatoes are good too, I get the home fries. Squirt of ketchup for the dipping. My other food choice here is the beef tips over noodles that they don’t carry anymore I don’t think. What a bummer — for athletes like myself, it is a tasty choice for a high protein/high taste/low cal meal… the meat was always tender and the gravy ever so yummy. I guess that’s gone, so see you 5 stars… JUSTKIDDING — they deserve 4 fair stars because the prices are kinda sketchballs. Kinda high, not gonna lie, but I will say for the quality of food, it is fairly priced sort of. Atmosphere — «Down on the farm» It’s pleasant. Bob Evans in the sexual Swingers world is also a place where cheaters go. It’s a great place to say bye to a bull and not get caught by neighbors(who eat at local joints). According to the perverts I talked to, btw. I’m single and not married nor a swinger & not a sex pervert, I’m only one who chats with others, as a bull. (according to one person«there’s a reason why Bob Evans are located by hotels,» but then again, what does she know… she be a hussy(a hussy who knows great breakfast meats and solid service). Conclusion — Ann Arbor/Ypsi has a lot of great places to get breakfast, but if you think Downtown Ann Arbor Parking blows or if you want a good consistent meal or protein for mistress action, stop at this Bob Evans. I am a fan. However, if I was taking a girl out on a date for the first time, I would avoid this place as it’s not the most romantic of places, I mean I don’t know how many people get dome after a nice breakfast meat platter and some farm fresh eggs, but then again — they do have really nice soups and I know soups can turn chicks on these days… I’m the Sexy Soup Bull, I should know. PEACE!!! 4 Stars. WooHoo!!!

Nothing special. Seems like the training is lacking. I think they genuinely want to do a good job but it appears between the kitchen and the staff training is incomplete and wait times are longer. The Coney Island diner further south on carpenter might be a better option. Food was good once it arrives.

I went here for a birthday party for my niece with 9 other people. It turns out that they are hurting for staff at the moment. They had to close an entire side of the restaurant because they were so short staffed. That being said we only had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. The food was good and our waitress was nice. The kitchen forgot a few specifics on some of the orders but that’s to be expected with such a big party. Overall, we all had a good time. Every time I have gone there, it’s never been super busy.

Damn! All the disabled spots are taken and where should I park? Lot is freakin’ full! Waiting and seeing only heavy folks coming in and out! Coincidence? I think not! One chair for each buttock, folks!

Where else will you get those biscuits plus that post church feeling you are dying for after a night of binge drinking? OK, it’s been a while since I’ve eaten there with a hang over but it is the spot to go when you need some down home cooking and can’t be bothered to go to your own kitchen(and your ma’s not close enough). I love Bob Evans. The price is right, the plates full and the folks real welcoming. Best waitress is Hannah, if she’s still there. Overall: good food, good price and the vibes make you feel like your at grandmas.

My friend Kevin and I decided stop in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon around a month ago. We were told there was a 10 minute wait to clear some tables off. The first thing I realize is that 15, then 20 minutes had gone by. Meanwhile, the hostess at the FOH, started to seat customers that had come in after we did. We looked around in the restaurant and there was over a dozen tables that still needed to be turned that were dirty when we first came in. I have seen slow service before, but this is ridiculous. In the future, I will take my business to the Bob Evans Restaurant in nearby Canton. I have always had great food and service at that location.

Been here twice. Service was slow both times and the second time the server completely omitted one of our sides. We had to remind her and ask to have it taken off our bill. Don’t order steak here. My in-laws both ordered sirloin steak and one was inedible because it was too salty. That was sent back and the replacement was still too salty but a little less so. The server told us that the kitchen said they do not add salt, but 3 people tried the steaks and we all agreed that they were both too salty. We think they must soak their steaks in brine so that they keep longer because they probably don’t have many people ordering steaks there and thus they do not have much steak inventory turnover. This suggests their steaks are not fresh. I know it’s not smart to order steak at a breakfast place, but if they know they don’t do steaks well, why do they have it on the menu?

We used to be regulars at this restaurant, but no longer. I can’t believe the incredibly poor service customers get here now– there was one waitress and the manager running the whole thing both times we visited. Our order was filled incorrectly no less than 3 times, we were ignored, refills were not offered, and I swear our waitress was on drugs the second time. It’s not surprising, as we have heard that this chain no longer hires employees full time to avoid paying benefits. I can’t confirm this to be true, but it would explain a lot. Avoid this restaurant, you’ll thank me later.

Service took forever! Waitress was so good though! There is really a home style Midwest All-American diner feel when you go in! Great atmosphere and the shopping afterwards is cool too! I enjoyed my breakfast — three eggs with meat & toast & home fries and will most definitely return!

From walking in, it is not obvious what you’re supposed to do. Do you order at the counter or wait to be seated? Was looked at by several gormless employees before our party of 9 was seated. Now from the time we sat down to the time the first meal showed up was 1 hour 5 mins and 1 hour 20 mins for the last one to show up. Being polite people and waiting for everyone to be served before eating, ensured that most people’s meal were eaten cold. It’s bacon and eggs for christsake– How tough can this be? No explanations were given as to why this took so long. Next time, I think Starbucks would be a way better call. The level of inefficiency was comical, providing some value I guess

I had the 3 course meal for $ 10.99…what a bargain! I had the turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes and gravy. I had the vegetable soup and for dessert I chose an apple cinnamon sundae. I also received two biscuits. The portions were generous and everything was served fresh and hot. I ordered this to go. Going to chains like this is a hit or miss type of situation and I believe it is all based on who is managing the place. The managers and employees here hit it out of the ball-park…good job team.

We had an email coupon for BOGO breakfasts at Bob Evans and since we were in the area we decided to give this location a try. It wasn’t very busy at 11 am and we were seated right away. We ended up ordering a couple of Homesteads, my favorite, with coffee. The breakfast came out rather quickly and I got a sticky order of grits, while the wife got a tiny order of hash browns that kind of looked like what was left over from the morning rush. We mentioned the small amount of hash browns and after we were pretty much done with breakfast, the waiter came out with another tablespoon of hash browns on a small plate. I personally would have been embarrassed to bring that out. We only got one cup of coffee from our waiter and when we asked a different waitress for a refill, she brought out a whole pot, which every other table had even with just 1 cup of coffee. I don’t know about you guys, but or almost $ 25 before tip, I expect a little more and better breakfast from Bob Evans. At my usual breakfast spot I get a similar breakfast with coffee for $ 4.11 and I most definitely don’t have to search for the hash browns and the grits are terrific. With the meal and the service, or lack of, I can only go 2 stars, and I won’t be back…

Service was great but… my wheat blueberry banana pancakes were a little dry… ok but a little too flavorless. Mush breakfast was excellent EXCEPT eggs overdone. So …-disappointing but still good.

This is our breakfast go-to place. Good, friendly service, managers always around asking us how we enjoyed our food and the food is average. Our last experience will not have us going back. We waited 10 minutes for drinks, the server was upset because she kept getting seated which we heard her complaint to management, our order wants right and the food was lack luster(we didn’t finish it). Also, there were 2 spider egg sacs attached to the wood of the booth hanging over our seats. Gross!

First off, let me say I’m not a frequenter of Bob Evans, mainly because I try to go to locally owned establishments mostly. I did happen to visit this particular Bob’s after staying the night in Ann Arbor on a recent weekend getaway though, and in my opinion it’s first rate. The manager and the employees were very friendly, helpful and communicative. The establishment was tidy, and all of our food was served up in a timely manner, hot and delicious. I don’t know how any of the other Evans restaurants are, but this particular one is excellent, and should be held as the golden standard for all of the others.

My dad likes to go to this Bob Evans. He thinks the lunches are pretty good. I tried their unlimited soup, salad and bread. I wasn’t impressed. The cheesy potato soup didn’t see like real food. The dining area was a mess and badly needed sweeping and bussing. The service was friendly and even after I left my cell phone on the table, and called for it 30 minutes later, the employees made sure it was returned to me. We will be back to try to find something a bit fresher on the menu. The employees are 5 stars, but can’t give more than three until the cleanliness and food improve.
