Solid hardware store, as one would expect. Not so local, but people are super helpful and friendly. Great selection of «designer» kitchen items, like Umbra and Le Creuset. You might just find a gem while looking for nuts and bolts – literally.

I can’t say much about the customer service here, as I’ve hardly ever bothered interacting with them. That said, they’re pretty unobtrusive if that’s your thing (it is mine). The best feature about this place is, by far, the stuff they’ve got in there. I’m not sure I’ve ever gone in and not left with something I hadn’t intended to purchase.
There are a few rows of housewares in there that house a selection of items that is not only relevant and useful, but seemingly of good quality as well. I have by no means conducted an in-​depth analysis of what they’ve got, but where most hardware stores might supplement their solid tools with cheap and skimpy housewares products, this Ace appears to have actually put some thought into what they purchase. They’ve got a good grasp on your better basics — I bought a stainless steel pot there that was well-​reviewed on Amazon and serves me to this day.
Prices are decent, but even better with the coupons they send out every so often.
But really: you think it’ll just be an in-​and-​out trip, and then WHAM! «Well, I guess I could probably use a wire cutting-​and-​stripping tool. And it’s on sale, after all.» The bargain bin strikes again.

I love this hardware store. They are so helpful and knowledgeable. I love great customer service and I feel I always get top notch service when I go here.
After a very unpleasant experience at a Sherwin Williams store I went in to the paint department here, Benjamin Moore, and found everything I needed right away and the employee matched the stain I needed on the first try. He had no objections to doing so either, imagine that (Sherwin Williams).
I also had to find a hammock replacement and bought 2 other sizes at different stores, neither of which were the right one. Went in here and spoke to the worker who ordered me the right one from the other store and had it delivered within 2 days.

I love small hardwares, and this place is great. For me it is easy to get to, has what I need for most small projects, and is reasonably priced. On top of that the staff is quite helpful, and you can usually get in and out in just a few minutes. It reminds me of a small town hardware.

This place has been around for longer than I can say… I went there to buy some stuff and also got some key’s made… paid and out the door… well, the keys did not work (it was the mailbox keys)… then since I didn’t have my receipt, I couldn’t return it… I double checked the keys and it wasn’t matched up… so on my way back from somewhere else, I stopped by again and got new keys made up… again, it didn’t work… so I gave up 1) going back and 2) trying to make copies of the key!

Convenient modest size hardware store. Prices pretty comparable to the big box places, but you can get in and out of ACE in much less time. They don’t carry lumber and selection of big items like driveway sealer is limited, but for your basic hardware and garden supplies, it is a great alternative and will save you time.

I like this store and try to give it my business (instead of to Lowes/​Home Depot where I have to track down someone to help me and pricing is about the same) as much as I can. They are always friendly and helpful and they remember their customers.
True, the store isn’t big and flashy like the one on Stadium with pretty dishware/​glassware and home furnishings (although I did find an awesomely priced patio umbrella here), but it is a HARDWARE store. I can usually get what I need and get in and out quickly. If I need help with something, there is always someone that’s knowledgeable that I can ask.

How can the same management run two hardware stores so differently? The other one is well stocked, not bad on service (not great but not bad) and fun to shop in. This one is the opposite. Example: bought a defective item; had to stand in 3 long lines to return it and get a refund!
Note: my first review mixed up the two stores. This is the bad store and the other one is the good store!
