Paul sold the business some years ago. He did great work at reasonable prices. Dave’s shoe repair is the new name. I brought a pair of boots for repair to Dave’s. The following is a break down of the cost. $ 65.00 to install(glue) a pair of rubber half soles to the boots. $ 35.00 to remove salt damage(dubious if done), polish and water proof, again dubious if done. Appears to have been polished. Was told $ 12.00 to stich sole where seperated, when I picked them up he said«I did both soles, I said $ 20.00 for one sole, I’ll only charge you $ 30.00». We had some discussion about what he said, he told me to forget the $ 30.00. He did the work so I paid him, but that was not the issue. The issue was he did work that was not authorized and then charged me. Not exactly ethical, will look for a new shoe repair shop. By the way, work was done on time and the repair looked good.
