Real Hacienda

A very good Mexican Restaurant with traditional Mexican style foods. Their Steak Fajitas was excellent. Prices were comparable to other Mexican Restaurant’s in the area. A nice place for a dinner for two. The staff wee very professional and helpful also.

The food is delicious and the service is always kind. However, last time we were there, it took us over an hour to get our food and they didn’t even refill our drinks once. They weren’t that busy, so it left me wondering what the problem was? I’m sure it’s not like that all the time. At least I hope not.

Overall, I’d say that this restaurant failed to «wow» me and it was mostly due to the salsa being a flop. If you know me, I generally rate Tex Mex based on the salsa (since there’s not much else to go by). The salsa here was… eh. Don’t get me wrong, we devoured it. Everyone did. But, there was something missing. It mostly tasted like tomato water and there was barely and spice or seasoning to it.
I had fish tacos as an entrée and these may have been doomed from the get-​go. We were listening to The Splendid Table in the car and heard about some AMAZING sounding fish taco recipes. The ones here were certainly not based on any of those recipes, though I didn’t expect them to be. The fish was pretty bland, though not dried out, so it could have been worse. The tortillas were also flour and I usually expect corn tortillas with fish tacos, so that threw me off as well. Overall an ok meal, but nothing to write home about.

Had another great visit. Great food and fast.

Great food and fun atmosphere. The queso is delicious! Some servers are friendlier than others but I love this place!

Tomato paste sauce, lightly seasoned beef, puffy taco shell (fried?), great refried beans with pork broth, chicken a bit stringy, and typical other fare. Had to get used to the sauce but other than that it was pretty good.
