Planet Fitness – Anderson

I’ve been going between this planet fitness and one in Greenville and I like them both but I’d pick this one as my main one to go to! Great staff and everything is always so clean! However it does get pretty crowded after work hours but not as bad as the ones in Greenville!

Awesome place to work out. Staff is great and the machines are always up. The free weights are abundant, great atmosphere, great place to go and the price is the best around. Get your lazy but to planet fitness and get in shape

I really want to bring this to the attention of all of upper management of not only this Anderson location but to a corporate level within planet fitness. To start this out I want to tell everyone that my fiancé and I have been a member of this planet fitness since February not long after this location opened (we got the black card membership). We loved going to this gym it had a very friendly staff and you felt like you were so welcome to be there because everyone of the employees would gladly welcome you in the door (and would not act like they were getting paid to do it). Anytime you had a question, whether that be needing help on a piece of equipment or any general questions you would always get a genuine helpful answer. In June both my fiancé and I paid our annual dues, this is where the problem started. My dues pulled out fine, my fiancé’s pulled out not only once but twice (that was $ 39 + $ 39 a total of $ 78), because my fiancé only had $ 60 in his account it over drafted his bank account leaving him with a overdraft fee of $ 35 so at this point his bank account was negative -$ 53. Both my fiancé and I brought this matter to the staffs attention. We were both told that they would get this resolved and get the extra $ 39 returned to his account. I even advised them that It had over drafted his account and caused him to have an over draft fee (which we did not fight.) A week and a half later $ 39 got returned to his account (they did not pay us back for the over draft). At this point we thought all was resolved and nothing was ever said about anything. We have never had a late payment or any payment issue the whole 8 months that we have been members. A month or so later Planet fitness started to get new employees and the original employees seemed to be falling off an then eventually there was a whole new «team» working there. This «team» was not polite, not welcoming, and not judgement free. My fiancé and I walked in one day and were told that he owed his annual fee, my fiancé told them I have paid it and even told them that they took it out 2 times. They told him that if he brought in a bank statement then they could get this resolved. I personally had to go out of my way to go and get a statement to take to planet fitness because they would not accept a statement that we get emailed to us (we have paperless statements). When I took it up there they told me that everything was resolved and we would not hear anymore on this issue. About 1 month ago we were told by another new employee that my fiancé owed his dues. I advised that was incorrect and that we have gotten that resolved already. The lady said ok and said go on in. Then we didn’t hear anything else until 2 weeks ago it started up again. We would tell them that they have everything that they have asked for and they need to get it resolved. Then last Monday 11 – 2
–15 Elana that works up there tells both me and my fiancé that we will need to bring in a bank statement showing where we have paid the dues. i adv her that we have already done that. She states «I know you have but the person that took your last one did not scan it into the system and we cannot find it». I told her I am not going out of my way again to get that statement. she told me «well you don’t have to go to the bank to get it, just print it off your bank history». So I did just that. On Tuesday 11−3−15 I took up the statement to planet fitness and was told by Charlie that he will get it to the manager to get this resolved. We went to the gym about 8 pm on 11−5−15 We walked up to the counter where Cassie (an employee) scanned both of our cards. While walking off Cassie stated that there was a note on My fiancé’s account stating that he has to pay his dues or he needs to leave. Then Charlie came up to the counter stating that he had something to show us, after some time he came back and stated «I can just pull it off the email» then he proceeds to print a paper off. Then he comes back over to my fiancé and I and states «basically this paper states that you printed off a statement off line and you need a real bank statement». I said «Elana told us that we could bring in this online statement». he said «well you should have come in when she was here» I said“I don’t know her hours and I didn’t know this would be such a big deal”? Then he states «I should have never been speaking to you, we should have been speaking to him (pointing to my fiancé) the whole time. I stated «he has been here the whole time and has ears on the side of his head he can hear you, also he has been by my side this whole process. Then Charlie (Dramatically) looks at my fiancé and says «I will print this off for just you» Then he walks over to the printer and grabs the same paperwork that he has already given to us, and walks over to my fiancé (like I am not even standing there) and starts saying everything he just stated to the both of us.
