I have been sewing for about 40 years. I am accustomed to using a variety of patterns for my projects. Butterick, Vogue, McCalls, and Simplicity are the popular pattern makers and I have used them all. I have also used all the small, independent pattern companies, such as Lazy Girl, Amy Butler, Kwik Sew, etc. I recently used a pattern from Legacy Patterns. First of all, no where in the entire pattern was there information about the finished size. When complete, a «wallet» turned out to be larger than most of my purses. When I wrote to the company to request an exchange or refund, I was dismissed and given a lame reason about it being unlawful to refund an item through the mail? Really? Anyway, judging by the way I was treated, I would never use this pattern maker again. I doubt the pattern was even constructed before it was printed and sold. I am going to pass this information on to all other sewists and to my friends at ASG. This pattern was expensive and the end product was disappointing and ended up in the round file!
