I’ve been to this place more than a hand full of times now since the first time I dined here. I’ve tried multiple dishes as well. So far I’m a MAJOR fan of their Chili Verde Burrito bowl. It’s pork marinated in a delicious chili verde sauce on top o a bed of your choice of beans(black, pinto or refried) and/or rice. I then proceed to get their avocado sauce, guacamole, poco de gallo, and jalapeños. They also have a nice salsa bar filled with many different salsas, crema, and guacamole. It’s a quick, but great place to eat!

My wife has been bothering me to stop by this place since she saw it was opened a few weeks back. So, being a huge fan of Mexican, we finally decided to stop in for dinner the other night with our son. I was not overly impressed. It reminded me of a scaled down version of Qdoba. The quality of ingredients were similar to what you would get in a fast food establishment such as Taco Bell. I ordered the fajita burrito and it was very average at best. Combined with the lack of urgency in customer service left a very mediocre taste in my mouth, literally. Overall, very disappointing but not the worst Mexican I have ever had.

The best burrito stand in anchorage. They have a salsa bar and breakfast burritos here as well and they don’t smother everything in sauce either… perfect for grabbing a burrito to go.

I was on my way home from a day of skiing at Alyeska and didn’t want to have to cook when I got home so I thought I’d give this place a try. The ingress/egress is through the Target parking lot which can be pretty rage inducing. The restaurant is in a new building which is refreshing. It’s well decorated and clean. The menus were kind of weird, they are up very high and many of the descriptions ran into other lines which you couldn’t read. I settled on two burritos and gave the cook my order. One chicken, one steak. Both burritos were ordered with black beans which they were running out of. I got just enough in one burrito, but then had to choose pinto beans for the other. Not that big of deal, but how do you run out of beans at 5pm in a Mexican joint. The cook made the second burrito also with steak and I had to point out that it was supposed to be chicken and he had to start over. Since my burrito didn’t come with guacamole I asked the other woman prepping my burritos if I could get some. Well, she looked at me like I had just kicked a puppy or punched a baby. I don’t understand why she was so salty and unpleasant. We finally got everything straightened out and I settled up for $ 22 which seems pretty high for two take-out burritos. However, they were very large and quite delicious. I think that take-out burritos really shouldn’t crest the $ 10 mark. I will return soon and see if the return experience is any better.

Solid 4 stars! Stopped by today to try their street tacos. The interior is just beautiful! Lots of bold colors, tasteful accents, and contemporary art. The music was contemporary Mexicana. Layout was a bit confusing, as there were no signs saying«order here» or «pay here,» but the employees were friendly without condescending. Lots of authentic menu options. Beans and rice were very good, with big chunks of jalapeño and onion throughout. The carne asada was on the dry side, but passable. Lots of local made salsas. Best of all, it was CLEAN! Highly recommend.

Really great fast food. Very comparable to Taco Del Mar which brings me a lot of happiness. My husband and I both got the burrito con queso. He had ground beef and I had shredded beef. So delicious. We loved the salsa bar. The flavor overall was great. Only downside to my burrito was that it was a bit too liquidy. Nothing a little time in the fridge wont fix. My biggest suggestion would be to wrap the burritos tighter and maybe add a bit more rice so when you do have so many wet ingredients that it wont be a liquidy mess. Restaurant was clean. Staff was very friendly and they clearly really care about your satisfaction. Cant wait to come back here!

A burrito«Express» place is a smart in this location near Cabelas and Target. And not surprising, their other locale is next to Bass Pro. With the word Express I was also hoping for the one thing all the other short order Mexican places in Anchorage seem unable to do… Make a good classic, carryout,(or whatever you’d call it) burrito. The type that’s tighly wrapped up that you hold in your hand, not the big blob on a plate. Unfortunately I got the blob. The Verde Burrito. It was good, heck it was very good. But I have to eat this mess with a flimsy disposable plastic fork. Sorry, but that was a fail in my book. I grew up in Tucson, eating burritos from taquerias. Give me a burrito like they make them, one I can literally take out and eat one handed. In their defense, every short order local owned Mexican place in this town does it the same way. Xalo’s, do something different than Taco King. If you do I’ll be back. And if you do it at the other location I’ll grab a bunch with friends so we can eat them at Resolution Brewery(hint, hint).

We love this new quick burrito place! We’ve been in three different times and each time tried something new. We are a family with two young kids, so being able to bring the whole family somewhere is important. The food is amazing. Everything is fresh and made right in front of you. The staff has been very nice, great smiles, and takes the time to explain how the menu works. The salsa bar is really yummy too! The restaurant is clean, lots of table space, and family welcoming. Love the location and the food! I recommend this new restaurant to all of my friends and family. The price is fair– the burritos are huge and more food than i’ve been able to consume in one sitting. Definitely keeps my husband fed!

Really fast, friendly and tasty. Great music and art is gallery style. What a find! My husband tried lengua and I had the street tacos. The taste was just like being in Mexico! Corn taco shells grilled right before you eat them. And the pineapple drink and horchata were perfect. Two dishes with two drinks(drinks are $ 3.75each) was $ 28.

This is really good fast food! I can’t believe I waited so long to check it out. The offerings are all so tasty, from the different meat fillings(the carnitas are my favorite, followed by the carne asada) to the fresh veggies. They have a nice oniony pico de gallo, too. I’ve only tried the burritos, huge as is the style now. I like that because then I have two meals. The salsa bar is excellent! Gotta have that restaurant style sauce, chunky and with some good heat that’s not overwhelming. The staff are so helpful and always have a pleasant attitude. I appreciate that. And I love the décor! So vibrant, creative, and nice enough to feel like you’re not at a fast food place if you decide to eat in. I have a feeling this place will be party if our regular takeout rotation in the future.

Tasty tacos, but quite pricey. Two shrimp tacos with beans and rice and a fountain drink are over $ 18! True, the tacos can each be divided into two tacos as they give you four tortillas.
