The totem theatre has been in anchorage since I was a little kid, so it goes back about 25+ years. It’s a tired building in an older part of town but I have awesome memories of the place. The seats are ok but– more importantly– if you miss that awesome action/​romance/​scifi movie you DESPERATELY wanted to see on the big screen, but it’s out of the mainstream theatres, then this is the place for you. Tickets are cheap, snacks are expensive (like everywhere) but I’m glad we’ve still got this place around.
