Flight Deck Pizza

Ordered my usual favorite, a large Aviator which is a pizza with salami, pepperoni, garlic, cheddar, and mozzarella. I have been a fan of their specialty pizzas for years. I took it down three stars because they have new staff and management here and that the wait for an order to-​go was longer than it should be. When I came in around 5 the other night, there was only one employee making the pizzas with order tickets lined up in front of him at the prep counter while his co-​worker had to leave him and run out to make deliveries. The only other person working with them was a young girl making the deliveries and she was constantly in and out while I sat there waiting. My to-​go order took about 30 minutes while the poor lady seated at a table next to me had to wait for him to take her sandwich order until he was done making the pizzas and placing them in the oven. By the time I got my pizza, she was still waiting there growing more impatient by the minute. They really need to hire one more person for the kitchen to take care of the dinner rush.

I am only giving 3 stars due to the food still tasting good.
We ordered online for the office, 3 orders total. I had a sub that was missing lettuce and tomatoes. I only asked for no onion. My coworker must have gotten the tomatoes I was meant to get considering he requested no tomatoes. I ordered a side salad instead of pasta salad (willing to pay the difference) and got pasta salad. When in the «special comments» on their online ordering system is clearly stated «may be additional charges for modifications» I WAS OK WITH THIS. I get mistakes happen but mostly I don’t understand why if they could not do certain modifications why they could not CALL THE NUMBER we provided on our online order to let us know. Also I initially called to place over the phone and the lady told me because we were using multiple cc’s it would be easier to order online. Completely disappointed. We have ordered from here several times before with no issues. Get your SH*T together

The chicken bacon ranch pizza is divine! Also, the Madison Square Garden sub!

This place has a great philly steak sandwich. Even better when Jalapeños are added. Comes with potato salad that’s pretty good. If you order a large, it’s more than enough food and should have leftovers. A little on the spendy side and the reason for not giving them 5 stars. Definitely a sandwich worth trying.

Little hole in the wall — but great food. Best known for pick up or delivery. Great pizza and super fantastic subs. The small SUB was HUGE and easily can feed two people. Also you can wait next door in a very nice and spacious bar — and they will deliver to you.
Great food for a reasonable price is hard to find and must be shared.

I just had a pie from this ‘zza joint yesterday, and I must say… I am impressed! It was prepared fairly quick, the chef used all natural ingredients… as opposed to un-​natural ones…
But in all seriousness, this place had some great sauce… delicious bread/​crust, fantastic fresh toppings, great family friendly atmosphere, and just all around great pizza. The only somewhat negative thing I can think of is that the menu is a bit on the pricey side, considering they’re a specialty pizza place. But that’s overlooked almost immediately considering the quality of their pizza.
So, if you’re ever on this side of C St, and you don’t feel like checking out Luigi’s (my other favorite pizza place, located right across the intersection of Flight Deck)… may I recommend this little gem? You will not be disappointed.

I actually waited until my third time eating this pizza to write the review. I am a pizza fanatic and have been struggling with finding a better local pizza place. Such a fanatic in fact that my home oven is cooking pizzas in less than 3 minutes. Somedays you want someone else to do the cooking.
Milano’s used to be my go to spot, but no longer. Flight deck is a simple operation with just a few long time employees that are there everytime I go. They put out excellent pies. Generous on the sauce, well spiced, and a good balance on the rest of your toppings.
I order mine well done because I like a crisper pie.
If you want a drink, you can go to the bar next door and have them deliver.
