If you’re looking for a true spa nail place this isn’t the place. it’s run down dingy and very messy… that being said the service both times for me have been top notch. I loved the way the lady spent much attention to my cuticles and filing since I am kind of particular about exactly how I want them filed. Their nail color selection is limited and no higher end brands just some generic but I own a lot of high end colors which I took in with me. I’ve only had manis done here but I’m going to check out the pedi for sure next time. for the price of 10 bucks for a mani it wasn’t half shabby

I really wanted to like this place, because the workers were nice. I must start off with saying, my nail lady poured the rest of what was left of the liquid she was dipping the brush she was using on me back into the container. I should have left right then. Who knows how many people she’s done that with. So horrible and she did it right in front of me as if she had no idea it was unsanitary. Also I felt a wort on her hand as she filed my nails. Yes I know I should have left but went on with it. Also should have known it wasn’t the best sense there was only two customers(me being one of them) on a Saturday afternoon when most nail salons are packed. There selection of nail polish is the worst I’ve seen at any salon… I mean there’s only a small shelf and the colors are all neutral, no cute colors or glitters. The pedicure massage chairs are In very bad shape with the leather peeling off. There is piles of paper and junk all through the salon, clutter everywhere. My nail lady was one of the ones who way over file and buff your nails. I think she spent 5 minutes filing and buffing and applying acrylic to each nail. The result was a very over thick layer of acrylic. It took way longer then any fill should take and that wasn’t cuz she was doing a good job lol. But I needed a fill bad and had to come here and I found a color I could settle with. I would say if u have to, it’s not a horrible place to come and there nice people. I just feel like if the Health department saw this place, they’d shut it down!

This place is fast and inexpensive. Didn’t need an appointment which is nice. Much better than the nail shop across the street.

Ask for Lucy for pretty nails, especially for French Tips!(Keep in mind that she’s off on Tuesdays). Lucy has done mine and my mom’s nails plenty of times and have always done a wonderful job. She’s a sweet and friendly person who truly takes her time to make sure your nails look really nice. Unfortunately, I’m not into acrylic or fake nails so I’m not sure if she does that. However, I’ve seen the other workers do them on customers and they look cute!(As for the yellow oblong/oval nail pic that someone posted, those are more modern nails so maybe the workers are not used to working with that? Idk the regular ones turn out good though lol) This place is a small one but don’t let that stop you! You’ll receive quality nails at an affordable price. This business has been here for a long time. I remember all my high school friends coming here for school dances and events! It is quite popular among the Loara High students and faculty since it’s just down the street. It has been about 8 years and this business is still here!

Come in here on occasion to get a pedicure, something that is fairly simple and love to do. Everything was fine aside from my polish. Picked my color and it did seem a little low. They use low quality nail polishes because my paint is drab and flat and you can see the bad strokes. Plus it is already chipping off after one day. Really looks horrible. I will have to find another place to waste my time while the hubby is next door getting a haircut.

If it’s possible to give a NEGATIVE star review, this place would definitely be getting it. Went in 2 weeks ago for a full set(my first full set since I was about 16 – 17) and unfortunately I did not get the name of my technician but I did notice that her nails were EXTREMELY unkept, that should have been a huge red flag then. She hovered over me asked me twice if I was ready as I picked my nail colors even though I told her I was not. Finally picked my colors, one was a dusty rose and the other was a shimmering gold for my ring fingers. The finished product left me with crooked, slanted nails that were not filed down(VERY thick) with the wrong color. When I asked about the color she snapped at me that that’s the number on the bottles. I ended up with a pale yellow with glitter specs for my ring fingers. At this point I was exhausted from the stress of my nails that I just wanted to leave. Had my husband pay and hid my nails embarrassed until we got home. I didn’t know what a bad job it really was until I went somewhere else to get them fixed. The other salon even apologized for my experience assuring me that that’s not how I should have been left. Goes to show convenience is not always the best choice. Thank you Unilocal for allowing me to share my experience as well as find another salon that has now gained my trust and loyal service.

I’ve been coming here for more than a decade now. I can’t believe I’m the first to review on Unilocal!Mike is the best at acrylics, and Lucy always does my toes. She’s great at getting out ingrowns, and I love the way she does my signature«Polky Pedi» polkadot pedicure. This place’s equipment isn’t super updated, glamorous or luxurious, but they’ve been in business a long time. Everyone is genuinely friendly, and they always make sure they do your nails right. Make sure you bring cash, though. They don’t like using the credit card machine unless it’s absolutely necessary. I think they charge a $ 1 fee for that as well.
