I love this habit the food is always great and they have many options. However my family and I came here for dinner tonight and there was a boy walking around trying to sell us candy for his«church group» I thought it was a little bit ridiculous the restaurant was letting him walk around ask their customers to buy his candy. I hope he was legit but I have had a bad experience previously with fakes trying to sell candy. Regardless of the situation being real or not I feel that this will drive customers out and the restaurant staff should be aware of this.

Still the best price best quality burgers in north OC. After eating there once, I would never go back to in-an-out or any other burger place anymore.

I used to enjoy this place, but not so much anymore. The food quality has gone down, they keep screwing up my orders, and the prep counter is disgusting. No more for me!

Always love the food here, even tho’ i tend to stick with the same thing. Staff here is always polite, no matter how busy the place gets. Great place to stop and refuel during shopping trips, but try to avoid the busy peak hours of lunch & dinner.

I WOULDGIVE A BILLIONSTARSFORTHEONIONRINGS!!! I’m in utter love with them. I would substitute in my order for the fries for onion rings any time. They are never tasteless. I don’t care for the onion taste. Weird, since they are onion rings. However, the crunchy batter is so outstanding! It never goes soggy or loses its form. The onion rings come in many sizes and texture is consistent. I wish they would serve me double, triple since they are delicious but overall the serving portion is good! Oh but let’s not forget the lemonade!!! Pink lemonade never disappoints. It’s a great pair if you are in the mood for a snack or adding it your fave char burger. Strongly recommend

The burgers are very good here. It’s clean, the staff are polite and I love the chili/jalapeño bar. Try the new chimichurri fries, they are limited, hopefully they will keep them around. Sooo good. I think the upgrade was less than .50 cents for the meal.

Came here on a Friday night after a long work week. It was prime dinner time and the line was pretty long. We ordered ahead of time and the order was ready exactly when they said it would be. We didn’t even have to wait on line to get our order. While we were waiting it was nice to see how the kitchen was exposed(and clean!) and how fluently the staff worked together. I’ll come back again for sure! Order online ahead of time if you know you’re going at a busy time of day.

Okay, so the only reason I’m writing this is because I felt annoyed at what happened. Came in with my husband and I ordered my burger with no onions because I don’t like onions. As I was getting my drink I clearly heard when the manager told the cook in Spanish no onions. To my surprise my burger came with onions. What made me mad other then the fact that my husband and I ate at different times is that I clearly heard when the manager said no onions and the cook went ahead and still made the burger with onions. I didn’t ask for them to make my burger the way they wanted it. Not to mention this place is sexist. A former Co-worker of mine saw a help wanted sign and HE asked the manager about it and told them they weren’t hiring? Why would they hire a guy, haven’t you seen all there cashiers are girls anyway!

When it comes to burger joints there are several categories in my book. Fast Food joints, which includes McDonald, Carl’s Jr. and Burger King. Casual Upscale, which I consider Five Guys, Smashburger and The Habit. Notice I didn’t list In-N-Out, because they are in a category of their own. The Habit is a solid choice for casual upscale. Their burgers have a lot of flavor and they encourage you to customize the toppings to your liking. Their fries are very good and they have some non-burger options to pick from as well. It’s hard to go wrong at The Habit. I knocked off one star from my review because this location usually has a long wait and limited seating. I also have had some issues with my order either being taken incorrectly or being served the wrong items, which I attribute to being very busy. It won’t stop me from going back though.

This place is usually crowded. From what I hear this place is on the same even as In’N’Out Burger. I would agree. They have a very convenient way of waiting for your order and it makes for less crowding. When I hit there, there a line all the way out the door, which is always a good sign for a business. They have a very nice strawberry cucumber lemonade, which is one of the best I’ve tried. Overall my experience here was great, and I will definitely consider returning. In’N’Out has some competition.

Parking here is usually crowded. Once you find a parking spot there usually is a long line. The last few times that I’ve been to The Habit there’s been a line out the door which is a good thing because that means it’s good food. the burgers and fries are good. I’ve heard The Habit be compared to In N Out a lot and I just don’t see the comparison. I love that The Habit has onion rings and sweet potato fries Every time that I have been at this location the seating is really sparse and because it is always crowded there seems to always be people standing around waiting for tables. one night when it was really cold(like California cold) people were still sitting outside under heaters. one suggestion is to order online and go pick it up. if you order online you get to see all of the options for your burger which is nice because you don’t feel rushed at the order counter the employees are usually nice and the restaurant is mostly clean. there was one time I went into the restroom to wash my hands and it was gross. trash was on the floor and it just seemed neglected. probably should had told someone but I didn’t.

You don’t get second chances too often in life, but I decided to give the Habit a second chance. Jalapeño char($ 4.95) with sweet potato fries and soda($ 2.75 extra): I got mine with no lettuce and jalapeño tempura on the side. What happened to jalapeño tempura on the side? That was not jalapeño «tempura» btw… My first bite was good, but I stopped liking the burger after that. The burger was meh. The sweet potato fries were tasteless. Char meal($ 8.65): Basically it was char burger with fries & soda. My friend liked his burger and said he would come back again. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. 2 stars! This is why I don’t believe in second chances. The Habit is not yummylicious!

*This review is only for the veggie burger* My husband and I were happy to see the habit go in next to the chipotle. We love having another vegan option available for late night take out. Usually the only place I will pay for a veggie burger is at the counter due to it being made in house, and such a large portion. But I decided to try they’re version and was pleasantly surprised. First off I suggest you try this burger Big Mac style. The patty itself is a bit wimpy so having the double patty makes it better. Also the bun in the middle evens everything out. The grilled onions and avocado are a nice touch but skimpy and not worth the extra money. The fries are good. You have to be really terrible to make a bad tasting French fry. Now we have eaten there several times with the portions and quality being consistent which I appreciate. They do become quite busy in the evening so be prepared to wait a little while. The staff is always friendly and I have never had my order(which since it isn’t on the menu can be a bit confusing) messed up or prepared wrong.

A good alternative to my usual burger spot, In N Out. A bit pricier, but seems to fill me up more. I’ve only really tried their charburger and fries. Burger tastes fresher than some other fast food joints. Fries are thick the way I like them!

This place is by far the best hamburger joint I have ever been to! You can tell when you go it is normally very busy! There is lots of seating both inside and out which is very nice. You can order a single char burger or double and there is different topping you can have on it. There is also quite a few different sides you can have with your burger as well. My boyfriend’s grandma always orders an ice cream cone after dinner and I can see why. They give you quite a bit of ice cream where some places can be stingy. If you want I think there is chocolate dipped as well. Every time I have gone the staff has been very friendly and helpful. Normally quiet a few of the same people which is nice because they are good at remembering. My boyfriend went to go get another side and the lady asked if Grandma was ready for her ice cream. It was funny because grandma wasn’t there that night still very nice that they remembered. The best burger place ever!

This Habit is located in the Target plaza next to Chipotle. Parking is plentiful, but the spaces get tight. It’s great for lunch because they are quick; but you can dine in, similarly to Chick-fil-A. Restrooms are to the left of the restaurant. The check out process is like Panera Bread. Place your order, get a buzzer, wait at your table or at the bench across from the registers, then pick up your food at the counter. Condiments and soda fountain are to the right. The first time I tried a burger at the Habit, I was surprised that my burger with avocado didn’t cost me $$$. For a fast food chain, their burgers exceeded my expectations. It tasted great, and it was at a reasonable price. I guess you can compare the Habit to In N Out in terms of fast food burgers; their burgers are similar in size. What In N Out does not have is the variety of add-ons, but that’s what makes the Habit more expensive and therefore tastier. They have sweet potato fries and onion rings, which are both pretty good here. I haven’t tried the sandwiches or salads, but the burgers and fries are enough to keep me coming back! I love that I can add avocado to my burger and it doesn’t get messy!

I can’t say enough good things about Habit Burger. To say they are better than In and Out would be a start. I know that’s hard to believe, and I still love In and Out, but Habit is great. The ‘charburgers’ are excellent. Fries top notch. Salads and chicken are also very good. I love the atmosphere, the little device they give you that vibrates and lights up when you order is ready,(no JEFF! You’re ORDERSUP!), to the super nice people that work there. My only issue — no drive thru! But hey, you can’t have everything. This particular Habit Burger has become our before movie meal and will continue to be our preferred movie night dinner for a long time.
