Had a wonderful time tonight before the game. Our bartender, Stacy was excellent as was the new menu we got to try. The delicious blueberry bbq chicken flatbread filled us up nicely. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you for your wonderful service, Stacy!

A truly dismal experience, to say the least. This was our first visit to Honda Center so we were looking forward to stopping for a glass of wine and something light before the concert. My companion ordered the antipasto appetizer while I opted for the Wild Mushroom Brie tartlets. The antipasto appetizer came but not the tartlets. Thirty minutes passed and a different server brought out some appetizers but inadvertently gave it to someone else who arrived after I did(I chose not to make an issue of it). For the record, the Wild Mushroom tartlets are less than an inch wide, the cost is $ 10 and you get three on a plate. No, that was not a typo. We asked two other servers where my appetizer was and both promised they would take care of it. Ten minutes later, our original server apologized but still didn’t bring the appetizer. She offered a complimentary glass of wine as compensation(would it be a surprise if I told you the glass of wine didn’t materialize, either?). She also mentioned that this venue was fairly new and they hadn’t worked through the problems yet. I suggest you eat before you get there.

I can’t review the food because after ordering the chef’s tasting menu and being there over an hour, I got literally two bites. We were seated at 6:30 and ordered quickly. We go our appetizers promptly and then waited an hour for the next course. At 7:45 we gave up because the concert started at 8:00. It looked like we were NOT the only ones in the same boat. The staff was great. Our server was overextended but did her best. The management voided the order and didn’t charge us for the appetizers. Ended up sharing our seating area with another couple that had reservations but there were no tables available. There seems to be some behind the scenes issues. Very scared to try again.

Pros: Friendly Staff, generous bartenders. For the dish we had to send back, they did offer to replace it and comp it without hesitation. Cons: The food is simply not worth it. Salmon dish had unbearable fishy taste to it. Sushi roll offered as a replacement was just as bad. You could tell it was pre-made and had been sitting in the refrigerator. The cheeseboard look anemic. The prices they charged did not correlate to the quality of food provided. Lack of Scotch selection. In previous seasons they had more variety and we were told that«guests didn’t like the variety» so they scaled it back. Who doesn’t like variety? Unfortunately I have to say it shouldn’t be called The«Grand» Terrace. There was nothing«grand» about it other than the physical space.

After getting grand terrace passes this season, I debated if it was worth the cost or not… after dealing with the staff, the answer is obviously YES. Hands down, Stacy is the best bartender I’ve ever dealt with. She is hilarious, personable, sweet and the reason I will continue to purchase my passes. If you need a beer, wait for her, she’s worth the wait! Alfonso is possibly the nicest greeter ever! Like I said, the staff was a game changer. Stacy and Alfonso for the win!

This is my 2nd season as a Terrace pass holder. Economically and logically it doesn’t make sense to hold a pass – you’re basically paying a $ 10 cover for the privilege of buying more expensive food. But I love it. The indoor restaurant/bar on the Terrace has a much greater beer selection than anywhere else in the building – 805, Newcastle, Hangar 24 Orange Wheat ANDIPA, etc etc. The bartenders are great and the ushers are great. It’s a little pricey to pay for the whole season at once, but I would hate to be stuck in the overcrowded concourse between periods wishing I could go outside and relax for the price of a Coors Light. If you need to get your space every now and again, the Grand Terrace pass is a must-have. So, I’m going to renew, primarily because of three people – Stacy, Alfonso, and Kandace.

We had dinner and drinks here before a Ducks game and i was extremely impressed. There was an outside patio with heaters and the ambiance was wonderful. We ate inside but we had a nice table in an alcove. The food was excellent. We ordered a variety of items and shared between 6 of us and everything was delicious. The service was phenomenal. I don’t remember our servers name but she was attentive and sweet and got everything quickly to us since we didn’t have a whole lot of time before the game. She even gave us plastic glasses so we could take our cocktails down to the game. The gal that seated us was Maureen(Mo) and she was darling. She was enthusiastic and attentive as well. A great experience at a sports arena!

I’ve been a member at the Terrace for two seasons now and had high hopes for its success. But in spite of being well staffed, they never seem to be able to get their act together from a service standpoint. I must say, the food is insanely good and priced to compete with the off site competition. But the good news ends there. The policy of servers not actually serving your food leads to order screw ups and delays, constantly and consistently. If you have guests, forget getting your orders at the same time. We’ve found the only resolution to this perpetual problem is to eat at the inside bars where the bartenders are very attentive and never missing in action. In any case, the billing screw ups are as frequent as the food services delays. Also, and this is really bad, both myself and my brother have have our credit card information stolen and charged the same night on two separate occasions. If not for the convenience and great food, I’d suggest elsewhere for pre Ducks game food and drink.

I had the opportunity to attend the 2014 West of West Wine Festival OC at the Grand Terrace in the Honda Center. The space is usually open for ticketed events like concerts. For games, I believe it’s reserved for season ticketholders. The food at the Honda Center has been revamped over the past year. They are bringing their food & beverage in house under the direction of Executive Chef JoJo Doyle. The dining area is quite large with a bar, patio, and plenty of tables and chairs. There are big screens showcasing the activities in the arena so you don’t miss a moment of the action. The staff is courteous and amiable. If you ever get a chance to dine here, check it out since it’s worth a visit.

Our order was taken and completely forgotten. All tables around us got their orders before us, although they ordered after us. We were given excuse after excuse from our waitress and the manager and promised our food would be out«right away»! «Right away» must mean something different to The Grand Terrace. After receiving a completely different order, no napkins and no utensils, we were told our meal would be taken care of and we would be given free drinks to take to the concert. The concert started 20 mins ago — still waiting for our«free» drinks. If you are at all interested in actually seeing the concert that you paid good money for, I would suggest going somewhere else before the show.

Went to Grand Terrace prior to Eagles Concert. Had a 7:15 reservation. Got there at 6:45 so the hostess said have a drink at the bar, and check back in 30. Ordered a drink at the bar and some appetizers, which took forever to get to us(one of the appetizers never made it). Tried to get seated at our table at 7:15 but the place was full. They then told us that our table was ready, only to find it had been given away to someone else. Our appetizer was also given away too. By that time it was so late, that we ordered«something fast» — California rolls(which were pretty good). Finally tracked down a manager, who ultimately comped our rolls and offered us a to go glass for the show. Pros: location, food seems pretty good, receptionist Cons: Sangria was not sangria, Total lack of floor management, overworked and overwhelmed bar staff. If you do go there, go early, and be persistent to get your food and drink orders.

Got tickets for a Ducks game and passes to the Grand Terrace the day of the game. Tried to call to make reservations but got a recording directing me to a website to make reservations. Website won’t let you make a reservation the day of an event. No number to call to speak with anyone. What kind of service is that? Without a reservation you have to sit outside, which will be about 95 degrees today. Looks like these passes won’t be used today!

I don’t get what the big deal is about the Grand Terrace. It’s basically just a restaurant with a big patio that has a view of the freeway. You do need special tickets to go up there during Ducks games, but if you don’t have them, don’t worry, you aren’t missing much. I tried the fry basket which came with so-so fries and a truffle crème fraiche that tasted like whipped cream. We also ordered the fungi(not sure if they were going for the plural of fungus or an incorrect spelling on the Italian, funghi) pizza which was borderline disgusting. There was probably a half inch thick layer of mushy sautéed mushrooms on top the pizza. I showed a picture to my friend and he thought it was a roast beef sandwich because that’s how many mushrooms were on there. I love mushrooms, but even I thought the pizza tasted like dirt. A ton of people were getting the fried chicken and the steak which both looked really good, but huge portions. On the plus side, I thought service was pretty good and the prices aren’t that much more than what you’d pay downstairs. I think if you just want to sit on the patio couches you can sit wherever you want, but you need to see the hostess for a table.

I was so incredibly excited when my work gave me some awesome tickets to the Ducks vs Jets game. On top of the tickets, I was also given passes to the Grand Terrace. Sounds fancy. My boyfriend and I were super excited to try it, since, I mean… who knows when we’d get another opportunity. For a part of the Honda Center where you require special passes to enter, I don’t think it’s too much to walk in expecting a stellar experience. However, I was disappointed beyond words. We arrived just after 6pm(game started at 7), and we were certain we’d have plenty of time to grab a quick bite and then get to our seats for the start of the game. Boy, were we wrong. The outdoor seating is seat yourself, and I’ll admit, it’s very pretty. We sat at our table for a good 20 – 25 minutes before we were even greeted by anyone. Finally, our server came by and we quickly ordered our drinks and food. Another 20 minutes goes by, and we still have no drinks, not even water. Our server comes by and tells us she got swamped and just put our drink orders in. Strike one. 20 minutes later, part of our food comes out. The other part never made it out, and we kept trying to get our check because the game had already started. I was getting anxious. We asked to cancel the other part of our order, since it never came out. We ordered the Alisatian pizza(cream cheese and bacon lardons), and that was pretty good. But nothing can make up for the lack in service, and me missing the beginning on the game because we couldn’t manage to flag a person down. I’m so disappointed. What makes it worse is that the Ducks lost that night too. I won’t be coming back here, and I really wouldn’t reccomend it to anyone. You’re better off grabbing a beer and some food from the concession stands.

Hate to be harsh here, since this cool very spacious place recently opened at The Ponda Center, but people please, get your act together. From their website; ‘Complimentary admission is available to all ticketed guest for non-Ducks events.‘ OK, got it, seems clear to me. Although they may want to correct the typo ‘guest’ to guests. But a good buddy has season tix for the Ducks 10 rows from the ice. On the 1st level. This is on the 2nd(terrace) level. So why were we routed around and around when we tried to return in between periods? You wanna know why? I know! Pick me! Pick me! Because they took our effing separate tickets that clearly spells out: VIPPASS for THEGRANDTERRACE. Instead of being able to proudly show our VIPPASSES to any and all staff our hands were stamped. Do you see a problem here? I do! I do! Pick me! Because apparently only two chosen ppl are awarded the scanners to anoint our re-entry back into the terrace level location of The Grand Terrace. So we were rerouted around and around until we found(thanks to Dave G) our way back to our original entrance. I understand the need for crowd control, but our passes should have allowed easier access. People please, get it together. Also from their website; ‘Featuring more than 100 feet of bar space, upscale décor and service of the highest degree.’ That is laughable. Well at least the ‘service of the highest degree’ part. We arrived at The Grand Terrace a good 20 minutes before the puck was dropped. Should be enough time to grab a quick drink, and check out the cool new addition to The Ponda, right? Ah no, and no. The patio area is huge, so in my infinite wisdom I walked over to 3 wait persons that were idly chatting amongst themselves and asked, and even pointed, «if we sat over there, is there someone to help us? Yes, we’ll send over your wait person.» Never happened. But it did give us time to take in this awesome new addition to The Ponda, and enjoy the super comfortable loungey bench seating. With out drinks though. People please, get it together. Sorry dear reader, I’m not done yet. Soooooo, after we finally find our way back after the 1st period, I again walk up to 3 or 4 wait persons idly chatting amongst themselves(we observed later this is de rigueur here) and ask where we should sit to actually get some prompt service. Luckily I was saved by Mr. G, again, as he pounced on 2 recently vacated stools at the bar. Ah, now we have a staff member that can’t hide around the corner and chat with his coworkers. This is why sitting at the bar is always preferred. The btender was attentive and friendly, and occasionally joined in on our conversations. He even admitted the main complaint he has heard is the confusing fustercluck for Duck fans to regain entrance. People please, get it together. Hey management. Get yourselves a competent floor manager to whip your waitstaff into shape. They sure don’t seem to realize there is a sporting event going on nearby, and prompt service is a must. Even the madhouse that is JT Schmids across the street has that down. And maybe we missed it, but how about some 1st floor signage? I dunno, maybe something like ‘Attention those of you with rink-level seats, make sure you find the one and only elevator that will take you to The Grand Terrace because if you arrive via any other elevator to the terrace level they will not let you walk around to the chosen ppl with the divine power to stamp and scan. Furthermore, don’t bother asking any staff members where that one and only elevator is, because they will have no clue. Thank you for your continuing patronage.’ Feel free to edit. After all the miss-steps we dared to order some food. And oh yeah, service was sorely lacking here too. Our ‘Fungi Stonewood Pie’ took forever to arrive, and was barely warm when it did. It was still tasty, but apparently had been sitting chilling before someone rescued it. They probably needed to finish their chat with their coworkers first. Hey thanks, we missed the 2nd period due to your ‘service of the highest degree.’ Bitches please. Get it together.

The Grand Terrace has a very nice set up comfortable seats inside and a nice patio outside complete with heat lamps, big tables and an outside bar! They looked to have an very elaborate decently priced menu with many things that sounded delicious including chicken, ribs, pizzas, and sushi as well as a full desert menu and a full bar with many beers on tap! Hopefully I will get the chance to eat here before a future game!

Looks real nice inside: great bar, lots of big tvs, plenty of seating. Service is mediocre and drink prices are higher than anything else you can buy in the rest of the Honda Center. Not real easy to get in and out of; «use this other entrance then walk around here and then you have to use the stairs.» I guess I’m not their target customer because I don’t get it.
