Pioneer Mercantile

Natalie was an amazing cast member! She helped us with our leather band engraving. Apparently the company doesn’t allow «established» on the merchandise anymore for legal reasons. But she was funny and reassuring about it all, making the experience worth it. I loved the interaction I had with her!

Oh the famous leather bracelets… this is the store you get them. You can get them with your name, your nickname, a date… many couples get them so the boyfriend gets the girlfriends name, and vice versa. They come in all different colors and even little characters as well. It’s around $ 10, the price has not changed in the past few years. Let me tell you… these bracelets are so durable. I have one with my boyfriends name on it, and I wore that bracelet every day for two years. Two years! I finally decided to get a new one this past weekend. I just love the simple look of a this bracelet. Simply amazing.

The leather bracelets are so cute and affordable, but Disney rules state that they won’t put anything on the bracelets but names, and like the girl before me said, no nicknames.
I wanted to put song lyrics on one and they flat out denied me.
I wanted to put the numbers from LOST on one too (yeah, I’m crazy) and they said no for that too.
Kinda sad. I understand they don’t want anything inappropriate but GRRR!

Pioneer Mercantile is a place for everything. Located in Frontierland, it has a pin store in the back, clothing and misc items of a gift giving variety in the front.
They have a jewelry section in one corner of the Mercantile and they also usually have a leather store near the entrance. It carries bracelets and key chains in both leather and steel.
A couple of rules about the leather store and the item you purchase:
They will not put mickeys on your item.
They will not put your nickname, initials or anything that is not a proper name on your item
These rules are not always told to you before hand, and they change frequently [when I went there in early ’07, they still did initials]. So make sure to ask what they can and can not put on your item before you purchase it.
Besides this, I love the mercantile. I’ve traded for some awesome pins there.
