Came to eat here for my birthday and I have to say it is delicous. They bring a big plate of each item you order. The only down side was that you have to serve yourself.

When our Chinese houseguest asked for Szechuan food in Anaheim, of course we turned to Unilocal, and Noodle House came up as a popular place. It is a smaller establishment that serves authentic Szechuan dishes. On our first visit, we tried the beef with handcut noodles… that was delicious! The flavor was fantastic and the texture of the handcut noodles was thicker than that of the traditional type. It reminded me of the texture of Italian gnocchi. We also tried the xiao long bao which was flavorful.(I prefer a thinner wrapper like the XLB at Din Tai Fung.) The green onion pancake had a light crunchiness on the outside to complement the taste. On our second visit, we tried the lunch specials that are served with egg drop soup and a bowl of rice. I ordered the shrimp with tofu and my hubby ordered salt pepper pork. There was a lot of tofu and not enough shrimp on my plate. Nevertheless, it was tasty! The salt pepper pork was even more tasty than my dish! It was a little crispy on the outside, but tender on the inside. The service was great. Annie knew the regular customers by name and she was attentive to all the patrons at the restaurant. Good food + good service = happy Unilocalers!

I read a few weeks ago from Christie A’s review that, they feature reverse-osmosis water. Thus, I came here specifically for it. I had been thirsty all morning and asked myself. Where, oh where can I get really good tasting water? This is the place ladies and gents. Oh, and the food is good too. I recommend the wontons in spicy sauce and the dumplings. I found they go great with the water.

Our weekly Chinese lunch spot with work friends! Our usuals include jjajangmyun, shao long bao, spicy fish, griddle chicken, salt & pepper pork, beef on skillet, and spicy shredded potatoes(not on the menu). So yum!

3.5 stars for this Taiwanese restaurant I wouldn’t have expected to find in Anaheim! It’s not great but then again there are very few options for Taiwanese in the OC so it hits the spot —beef roll(Chinese burrito on the menu): not bad, the green onion pancake was a bit thicker than I’ve had but still good flavor over all! I wish the meat was shredded instead of sliced though —spicy wontons: bland —minced pork with egg over rice: my go-to«poor mans» dish, flavorful but I wish the minced pork was from a fattier cut like I’ve had at other places Contrary to some other reviews, they accepted our credit card and we went on a Wednesday night haha NOTE: don’t come too close to closing they don’t welcome extra business and I saw them turn away customers within 10 minutes of closing

Ordered xiao long bao, green onion pancake, chachiangmien, and egg flour soup. Prices are decent and food is just OK. Noodles were over-cooked, not enough green onion in the pancake, and the egg flour soup and dumplings could have more flavor. Dumplings were still very juicy and steamed perfectly. Pancakes fried to a nice bubbly crisp! Somewhat tasty and a good Chinese restaurant for the area. I would eat there again.

We went there, it wasn’t busy in fact they were pretty dead, now we know why we told them we had never been there before and they didn’t go out of there way to impress or recommend they just said everything is good and it wasn’t besides being cold the staff would rather hang in the bar area and talk to each other than try to wait on us, they never even came back to see if the food was ok! We had to go to bar area to get waiter to give us our bill!

OK. So I was craving a&j’s spicy wontons, but I did not want to drive to irvine. So I Unilocaled spicy wontons and this place came up. We got there right when it opened on friday and there were already a few people waiting to order some take out. My friend and I ordered spicy wontons, scallion pancake & the XLB. I docked a star because the spicy wontons were good, but it tasted like a faint memory of a&j’s. But still good. It sufficed. The scallion pancakes were fluffy! But that XLB… oh my heart exploded. The dipping sauce was a tangy heaven in my mouth. We ordered a second round of everything and it was all filling. My gf really liked the spicy wontons so that’s awesome. We both loved the scallion pancakes and the XLB. We’ll definitely be coming back here if I crave taiwanese again. Great service. The staff was attentive and fast. All in all great experience!:)

Mainland Chinese/Semi-Taiwanese noodles and restaurant. The food looked great but was a bit bland to the taste. The little lady who served us didn’t speak English too well but was super sweet. She definitely knew how to take our orders by the numbers. After visiting Disneyland, we were dying for some Asian food. Unilocaled and found Noodle House. The prices are reasonable, the orders were big and the food was decent(being a bit bland). I did like their XLB that I ended up ordering two(they didn’t charge an arm and a leg for it either). I’d go for the affordable XLBs all day everyday! NOCREDITCARDS… CASHONLY.

I’ve had Noodle House bookmarked for a while and I finally got to try this place. Mainly, XLB was on my mind and it was actually pretty good! It wasn’t perfectly made pillows of goodness like those at DTF but the taste was comparable. Also tried the fish in black bean sauce, shechuan eggplant, sweet n sour spare ribs, orange chicken, knife cut noodle with pork n egg, and Chinese style beef burritos. All the dishes were pretty good. This is officially my favorite Chinese restaurant in the Anaheim area. The restaurant itself is located inside a Chinese strip mall with 99 Ranch market.

Came here after a night of partying. Got up late looking and feeling like crap. Gf and I wanted some good Chinese food and found this place on Unilocal. We ordered Xiao Long Bao, green onion pancake, and sweet & sour fish filet(cuz i grew up on that shit) … All were good, we finished everything so we were happy with the portions. Pretty standard Chinese food + some Taiwanese dishes, but we didn’t try any of those. I love places like these. Hole in the wall type spots that are simple, food is good. Glad to know this place exists so we can come back when we are looking for a quick bite.

I thought the food here is great. The store definitely reminds me of a traditional Chinese mom and pop restaurant. The service here is good, the waitress recognizes the regulars and treats them like family. Something that is very rare to see in these days. Probably the best Chinese food in this area of Anaheim, authentic and professional. 5 stars. Cash only, they will take cards if your total comes to $ 25 or more.

In the land of «2 item combo special», noodle house is one of the few places that has some seriously good food in a cozy, friendly atmosphere. Ordered the Wontons in chili sauce, which were pretty good although I would have preferred some more heat(but that’s just me), wontons were just the right texture. Will definitely order again! Crispy noodles were really good, crispy on the edges, soft in the middle, once again I would have preferred a lil more crisp to my noodle. Vegetables and meat were aplenty!!! I gotta say this place is pretty damn good, obviously you can go to SGV, but why deal with the traffic when Noodle House is a decent substitute for the most part. Watch out for the Chinese tourists that flood this place at times, I can get quite busy!

To start, this place was very crowded when we came in, but it took a few awkward moments of trying to catch the attention of a worker before we learned it was a «seat yourself» service. But, nevermind that. The table and booth seemed clean, which is a great start but then I saw that the windowsill had a nice collection of unknown decaying substances and dust, all within reach of my curious child and my viewing pleasure. Yuck. The waitress came, and was very sweet to discuss and make recommendations from the menu– much appreciated. We ordered the Orange chicken, the Szechuan beef, white rice and Vietnamese style noodles. Everything came pretty quick, hot and seemingly fresh. But then I picked up my plate. The thickness of grime and filth stuck to these plates is something I’ve never seen. It’s was caked on, and flaked when I rubbed my fingers in attempts to brush the grime off. The only thing I could think of is, these plates were never cleaned but only rinsed under cold water before being left out to dry for the next use. Same with the cups. They were so clouded over I could scrape my name into the grime. Never again :( Never again. :(

I was taking a risk knowing this place only has 90 reviews, but overall it wasn’t that bad. It’s a quaint restaurant surrounded by bigger-named establishments(99 ranch, Daiso, Goodwill?!, Lee Sandwiches). Of course this place would be overlooked, but alas, I was craving one thing: Beef Noodle Soup, and I got my fix. Simply a fix. Food: — Beef Noodle Soup($ 7.95 +$ 1 for handcut noodles): I chose the handcut noodles because I’m a fan of chunkier pieces of noodles shaped like they… cut them from a block. Luckily it’s a normal-sized portion and they are cooked al-dente, so that was pleasurable. The broth was a deep soy sauce beef broth, that resembles what one wants from this entrée, but it seemed too independent from the other ingredients. It’s like they put the pickled veggies in at the end and plays its own game in the soup — which is not actually enjoyable. The chunks of beef were pretty tender, so I definitely did enjoy that. Overall a decent dish. Pros: — Staple interior, nothing flashy. Totally reminds me of an average restaurant. — They cater to those who are Chinese, which means you’ll experience it like a Chinese customer would. — Good for big parties. They have 3 round group tables for big parties and lots of other side tables for smaller parties. I took the big group table by myself because I’m a boss… sometimes. –Nice and accommodating to my needs. They reseated me next to the one outlet they have so I could charge my phone — Thank you! Cons: — Decent food, nothing too special. — Parking in this area is slightly tricky since the world wants to park here to go to the other establishments. — Sort of cash only. Sort of. Maybe this is a Pro but I only had $ 9 in cash and they took it and told me to pay it back next time I come. Oh boy, I guess I have to return so I don’t feel indebted! I’m confident you’ll find other more established restaurants in the area. This one was decent but I don’t feel it measures up to the other places that serve superb beef noodle soup.

Oh, Orange County, how you’ve changed me. The food here is about 3 star quality, but I’m docking off 1 star because of the cleanliness. Cleanliness! For a Chinese restaurant? Really? Me? Yup! During dinner, a huge flying bug literally dropped dead onto our table. Also, there were a few ants running around. If I was who I was a few years ago, I would be like well! That’s when you know this place is authentically Chinese! Woohoo! Well, no more, I am now a spoiled OC brat… Okay, beyond the cleanliness factor, however, the food was just okay. We ordered regular Shrimp fried noodles, Pork knife-cut noodles with Satay, and some green onion bread. The green onion bread had a good flavor of green onion, but you cannot see the layers in the bread very clearly, so it’s not that well made. The noodles were not impressive, either. And I expected far more from knife-cut noodles. If you want real knife-cut noodles, try Mas Islamic a few miles away. Service, however, wasn’t too bad. The waitress was really nice and our waters were filled fairly often. They did close half an hour early because we were the only ones in the restaurant at 9PM anyways. Overall, I wouldn’t come back.

The place is really good. I agree the salt pepper fish is good and flavorful. Though I’d admit it was a bit more favorable on the salty side which in my opinion is a plus. The prices are definitely affordable and would encourage for that alone. There were a preferable amount of onions that were topped on and were a great taste. I only avoided a 5 star review because the collective agreement of the group I was with was a 4. I would definitely recommend this place if in the area and wouldn’t be too sure to go out of my way but well worth trying.

The place is alright. I might have ordered the wrong dishes. I got the beef noodle soup which was nothing special but edible. The xiaolongbao or soup dumplings were bad… No soup lol. The other dishes on the menu looked good at the other tables. I may give this place a second chance the next time I have a semi-authentic Chinese food craving. Tldr if you don’t want to drive far for the good stuff. This place will fulfill your needs.

Definitely decent for its value. I love their knife cut noodle. One of the best in town. So fresh and chewy. They advertise they have lunch special all day everyday but it is more like its same price throughout the day, you will not receive free soup as you would during lunch hours. Mushu Pork & Egg knife cut noodle is the best!!! Be careful. so so SOOOO many Chinese tourist groups at night. It is insane. Call ahead if you want to eat here between 6 to 8pm.

Echoing a lot of Unilocalers. I was craving some Chinese food: beef noodle soup and soup dumplings. The beef stew noodle soup was in a sizable bowl! The juicy dumplings were warm and savory, delicious with the sauce that comes with in a small sauce bowl. I also ordered the green onion pancakes that were fluffily fried. All three items were delicious, with whom I ate with another(two appetizers + entrée shared between two people). We were so stuffed that we were in pain. The waitress was extremely patient and nice to us. We had a third wheel friend who sat with us, without ordering anything. He was a bit grumbly but the waitress was still perky and nice, despite indistinguishable words coming out of his face. The prices are affordable so tip generously! Would definitely come back.

This is a pretty solid Chinese restaurant. My Taiwanese friend told us about this place and recommended a couple of dishes: The Chinese burrito is a really good dish, as well as their noodle and tofu dishes. I of course had to try their orange chicken. And it was pretty good compared to other places. I’d recommend this place if you are craving a decent Chinese dinner.

Great for large groups without a long wait. My party of 7 arrived here around lunch time with no wait. since the place was called noodle house, I went and ordered from the noodle menu($ 7-$ 10); however they have great all-day lunch specials starting at $ 4.95 and include soup & rice. I ended up with the spicy beef noodle soup for $ 7.95 + $ 1 for hand cut noodles. Note that this is not for the mild at heart as one of my friends ordered by picture and not name. He was sweating a bit. The meat was tender and the noodles were chewy. I found the hand cut noodles a little difficult to eat and it didnt seem like we got a lot for the size of the bowl. Restaurant cleanliness was okay…

Service was pretty good, the waitress was a sweet lady! She was super friendly and always had a smile on! The wonton in chili sauce is by far the best. I would come back here just for this. Other than that it’s solid Chinese food for decent price, can’t ask for much more in this area.

Food here is pretty good. It is one of the only Chinese noodle houses you will find in Anaheim. You will have to go to Rowland Heights to find anything close to Chinese food around here. Tried a few things on the menu and so far, everything has been good and up to par. We ordered 3 items, and the entire meal was only $ 25. We ordered the Zhajiangmian, XiaoLongBao, and Garlic pepper ribs. Everything was really good, and they have lunch specials here until 3 oclock which offers great prices. If I can’t get myself going to the SGV, I will be coming here to calm some of my chinese food urges

I went to take the pick up today. The food was AWESOME!!! I’m one hundred percents Chinese, the two dishes I had today, which is Spicy sliced Beef Tender & Tripe. Although the ingredients are not whole as the traditional one, the flavor tastes exactly like the original 夫妻肺片. It was LEGIT!!! Chinese style beef burrito. It’s so creative, combining the way how Mexican roll the burrito and Chinese sauce with beef. it’s fabulous!!! Definitely recommending to give a try!!!’

Good Chinese food for a decent price. Probably the closest best you’ll get in Anaheim compared to Rowland Heights or San Gabriel areas. We had the spicy bean fish, Shao Lin Biao, and mixed vegetables. It was good! The third time we went, bus loads of people came in. They were definitely tourists; that just boosted up the authenticity of the place.

I find myself always craving dumplings, especially xiao long bao(mini steamed pork buns). However, most of the good places are either in Irvine or the San Gabriel Valley. I live in Fountain Valley, but my bf lives in Fullerton. We often find ourselves debating if we’re willing to drive all the way to the SGV for some delicious dumplings or noodles, most of the time… we’re too lazy. haha. This place fulfills cravings, but it wouldn’t exactly be my number once choice. We had the xiao long bao, the beef roll, spicy wontons, and beef noodle soup. I’d skip the beef noodle soup, it was pretty bland for me. My bf liked the beef roll, but I thought it was a little too salty for my taste. I really enjoyed the spicy wontons. They appeared to be hand made, pork filled wontons, sitting in a bowl of this wonderful spicy chili oil. I ended up scooping the chili oil and putting it on everything. The xiao long bao wasn’t the best we’ve had, but it was adequate. The outside wasn’t too thick, and it was filled with just the right amount of soup. I wish the restaurant was a little bit cleaner, and that the servers spoke English. Only one of the ladies really understood me when I asked her questions, and it took several tries for me to get vinegar from another lady who had no idea what I was talking about. The restaurant wasn’t super dirty or anything, it was just your typical asian restaurant. So, would I go back? Probably. Is it the best I’ve had? Not really. I’ll have to go back and try their other menu items, because there was so much left for me to eat.

Something is missing here… Ordered beef stew noodle soup($ 7.95) with hand cut noodle(+$ 1), the noodle was excellent as the way I like it. The broth, however, probably the worst I’ve ever had. It’s super watery down like just water with some added flavors. Eggplant w basil($ 5.95), it was not bad and cooked to exact the way it is meant to(soft). Somehow I feel there’s a tiny thing missing in the flavor, too sweet and did not have much basil kick to it… but overly not bad. Service was very friendly and sweet. I picked the table seating because I didn’t want to occupy the whole booth but the waitress asked if I want the booth since it’s more comfortable. The other waitress when she saw my napkin fall on the floor she just brought me a new one without me asking for it. Super sweet with a cute smile. They speak Chinese to you but I heard them taking phone orders in English. If you don’t speak Chinese, you will be fine. This place has identical menu as to the Chino Hills Noodle House, which was one of my favorite when I was living in the area. Even thought I think this place’s flavor is slightly adjusted to the customer in the area, maybe? Still, I consider this is an «authentic«Chinese restaurant in Anaheim though. They have all day lunch special, which priced from $ 4.95 to $ 8.95, from Ma Po Tofu to shrimp dishes, so it’s pretty good portion for people who dine alone.

She will treat you like family and do anything for you. I think service like this is so hard to find in a chinese restaurant. The food to order: –hand cut chow mein(House Special Noodles) –three cup chicken –fish in a spicy sauce All so good!

We randomly found this restaurant when we were in the Fullerton area this past weekend. Saw that it had decent reviews on Unilocal,so ventured over to check it out. Plenty of seating inside, barely any customers so we got our food fast! :) As we ate our meal, more and more customers funneled into the restaurant. We ordered: (1) pork Intestine in hot pot — yum! loved this dish; we’ve been craving intestine so this was a treat to know the restaurant actually serves this. it’s spicy, and comes sizzling in a metal plate. the intestine was really soft(kinda fatty) and the tofu was silken (2) Yang Zhou fried rice — my husband loves this type of fried rice for some reason, so he ordered it and was amazed. he was raving about how he’d love to come back and eat here again (3) Hot sour soup — the order was huge; can feed at least 3 – 4 people! tastes just like any other hot & sour soup i’ve had in the past (4) Shanghai style rice cake — i like this type of rice cake, but i must say that the flavors are better at din tai fung or ROC on sawtelle in LA. this entrée was just ok, probably wouldn’t order again, even though i ended up devouring all of it over lunch! :) We’re so happy we found this Chinese restaurant in Anaheim, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back to try some of the other menu items next time. :)

My boyfriend and I were craving xiao long bao(steamed pork dumplings) and we were in this area and came across this place. Plenty of parking here — it’s in the same plaza as a Daiso and 99 Ranch Market. Came here for lunch and no wait, immediately seated. Ordered: — Xiao Long Bao(Steamed pork dumplings) — Freshly steamed and they were juicy! The dumpling skin was nice and soft too, not like it’s been sitting around and hardened. Yum! — Niu Rou Mien(Beef Noodle Soup) — Went for the house noodles which were chewy and oddly sliced but is «homemade» at the restaurant and pretty good. Definitely different. If you don’t like the chewy noodles, get the egg noodles. The soup broth was good but spicy! Nice little kick. — Salt and Pepper Fish — Little filets of fish were fried in batter and seasoned with salt and pepper. Ordered this as an app and it was good!

Noodle House has a menu simliar to its predessor, Shanghai 369, with lunch specials starting at $ 4.95, soup noodles, chicken dishes, seafood, and such. This new Shanhainese chinese restaurant replaced a once dilapidated one, and the inside had a moderately new facelift, replacing some of the tables with intimate booths. — Beef Noodle Soup: Beef was tender. Stephen said it was better than Capital Noodle in Irvine. The broth was very tasty and there were plenty of bok choy, too. — Shanghai Rice Cakes: Decent portion, enough for 2 to share, consisiting of rice dough shaped like slanted flattened dumplings, pan fried with pork and cabbage. It was a tad greasy, but still very tasty. — XiaoLongBao(XLB): They do have the juicy pork dumplings, known to many as «Xiao Long Bao» but unless you read chinese, you’ll have to find it in this menu as #51: Steam Pork Bun(which I would have thought were like Cha Siu Bao). Fortunately its on the cover of the menu, and I pointed to the photo. For the fans of Din Tai Fung, this is no where close to the«pillows of heaven» but they are tasty. The wrappers are thicker, and the interior had plenty of juice. The dumplings came with 8 pieces instead of the usual 10, and they provide you with just 1 dipping cup with ginger. I’m sure if you wanted more ginger or another sauce cup, they’d give you one. It was made to order, so this was the last dish to come out. I’m not sure if it came out immediately from the steamer, as the dumplings were hot… but not scalding your mouth hot. A little disappointing there. Overall a decent lunch. Our bill came to $ 27 with tax/tip. The staff is friendly but English is not their first language, so if you are not a mandarin speaker, point to the menu item and make sure the staff knows which item you want. They have canned soda(ie: coke, diet coke) for those who don’t want water or tea.
