Cabos is the best. The food is so good that Cabos is my wife’s favorite place to eat. The prices are just right and fair too. Next time you’ll hear me calling out«Meet you at Cabos!»

I was really iffy coming here since their reviews were all over and I hate when I read about a change of ownership for the worse but in my case all was right with my order. I came in after a workout and I was craving ceviche something fierce and I would always see this place when I played lotto in the same center so why not try. I came in around 2ish pm. I prefer to eat lunch at this hour since I hate the lunch rush. So I walked in and they have this being in someones living room feel when you first walk in and you look over to the left: p So I sat at the counter and told the guy I wanted take out. I looked over the menu and I mainly came for the ceviche but then I saw that they had albondigias and I can never not get that. I also ordered a garlic fish taco. So I get home and I open up the bag. I noticed the ceviche but I’m like where’s the tostadas that come with ceviche !!! They but it under the damn ceviche. Why would you put it under a wet item! Defeats the damn reason of ordering this! So annoying. Thank god my ass had tostadas in my cabinet. The sad thing what crispy parts that were salvaged were good and they made it home made. Make it home made and put it in a separate bag sir. Great ceviche nonetheless. The albondigias was good, good amount of veggies and meatballs. I still haven’t found a place who tops Azteca’s albondigias. It was good but it was missing something that I can’t put my finger on. Now the star of the show was the California style fish taco, cooked in garlic butter and topped with shredded cheese and cabbage. This taco was CRACK!!! The fish was so buttery and seasoned well. Super fresh and the cabbage with cheese made perfect bites. Til this day I still think about this taco LOL. Maybe I’ll go on Friday and get one after the gym. My meal was solid even with the ceviche hiccup. I’d come back to try other menu items and forever get those Cali style fish tacos as long as they’re consistent :)

Total fan of the male waiter(lunch hour and sunday afternoons) Not trying to hit on him but, truly this guy is awesome. he knows what you like, how you like it, and is the most caring waiter i know. he’s gone to the panaderia next door when they ran out of Flan to see if id like to try the sweet breads. it was ok but i was blown away that he took it to the next level of service, and he won me over. tho the managment has changed hands, he’s been there. the food is good, the service is far better. so i can’t ague lol

I really enjoy the food here, you get a lot of bang for your buck. Happy hour has dollar tacos and they are loaded with meat. Everyone who works there is really friendly and attentive. I’m glad we found this golden hole in the wall!

Whenever I come to visit my elderly dad I look for a good Mexican restaurant close to his house and haven’t found one until we came to Cabos. My dad and I ate there for lunch. I had the chicken flautas which came with beans and rice and really fresh guacamole. It was delicious. The beans were even more delicious, the best ever. My dad had chili rellenos which were also good, but he complained it was too much food. We took home enough for his dinner tonight. The prices were also reasonable. The décor is plain, a hole in the wall type place, but the friendliness and food more than make up for it.

We came in to this place around 5:30 pm on a Friday night. When we walked in we were the only customers there so we expected to have a pretty speedy service since no one was there. Boy were we wrong. I ordered a shrimp burrito and my girlfriend ordered the vegetarian burrito. She’s vegan so she asked TWICE if it had cheese, the server assured us that it didn’t. So we waited for our food. Nearly 50 minutes later, that’s right, FIFTY minutes later we finally got our food. Let me remind you there was NO one at this place when we were there, so it’s not like they were backed up or rushed to make our order. My girlfriend burrito came out with cheese, even after asking TWICE if it had cheese in it. We sent it back and they told us it would be another 10 minutes to get another one done right, but we had already waited 50 minutes?. We said fine. 20 minutes passed and still no burrito, at that time we finally had enough that we just paid the bill on my burrito and left, without my girlfriend eating anything. If you plan on going somewhere to grab a quick bite when you have somewhere to be after, DON’T come here, I repeat DON’T come here, expect waiting at least an hour for a measly mediocre burrito.

They changed ownership which makes me very sad. The previous owners really had great costumer service and always had my orders right. I order from the new owners the lunch special with 2 tacos, they messed up the order and the service was kinda rushed. Also, my co worker and I had food poisoning within 1hr. Im very sad and disappointed in this place. This place was our hidden gem. I think i will try this place one more time and if the same quality service and food happens again then i will not be coming back.

Anytime I make the trek to Disneyland I leave the park for lunch or dinner to come to cabos. The service, prices and food are always amazing. And so worth the hassle of leaving the park for a meal!

My husband and I decided to try here vs other authentic Mexican restaurants due to the photos we viewed. We had a phenomenal meal! I ordered #21 and my husband had #20 so between us we had carne asada– so flavorful– outstanding, a beef tamale– absolutely the best ever. A crispy shelled carne asada taco, my husband said«that was the best he ever had. Cheese enchiladas– a mix of Mexican and Cheddar cheeses. So traditional tasting– I loved the enchilada sauce and the tamale sauce and would have liked them smothered because they were so good. Also on my plate was pork carnitas. The pork was velvety and nearly melted in your mouth– it was really that tender, but I prefer simmered pork in verde sauce over red sauce. This was a red sauce, not bad but not my favorite. Rice, beans superb. Guacamole– perfectly fresh and plenty of minced onion– yum. Salsa was spicy– just set the way we like it. Finally we had the most delightful happy young waitress and we tipped her very well! We will definitely return next time we are in this area. It will be missed by us! The only con is only having a beer and wine liquor license. I like margaritas but my spouse was happy with beer. The place was meticulously clean but modestly furnished. We both left about 1⁄3 of our food as we are in a hotel and could not finish.

Friend who LOVES Mexican in town from Dallas, looked up on Unilocal and decided to go for it. Service is on the slow side. There were 2 large family groups in the restaurant to contend/compete with for attention. Drank 2 pitchers of beer with my friend before we were served our food. 1 was gone before we even ordered, so it took a while. RECOMMEND– patience. Also the Fish Tacos were REALLY good. Would consider going back for just those if I have enough time. CONSIDERATIONS– need lots of time. Friendly family atmosphere. Don’t take AMEX.

This a good place for Mexican food and close to Disneyland and there is plenty of parking space the service is ok and it’s not that big it’s small place and they have full bar beer and wine, it’s ok you need to try it and decide for your self, they have T.V. And it’s not expensive it’s avarge price.

Came to this place by accident and decided to try the seafood, the pace looks nice and clean, service was very good but the food was just average, well a least my cocktail, fresh but just average, the chips are freshly made by them, but please try the michelada, not in the menu but really good and spicy, I will give it another try.

Mmmmm. Don’t mistake the humble décor, they are showing off in the kitchen. Amazing, authentic Mexican food, right by Disneyland. This is my new spot!!!

There was a large piece of wood in my hard shell taco plate and later I found some hair in my rice. That’s enough content to give this place a 1 star.

This place is more an actual strip restaurant than a mex takeout dive. I popped in for some takeout and waited a little under 15 minutes for a taco and an a la carte chile relleno. This is a good thing if you are not in a hurry. Both were fried on the spot, rather than re-prepared. While I waited I scanned the place, noting that it is fairly clean, with a couple of tables for groups and several booths. Beers on tap include: dos equis both pils and dark, corona light, modelo, newcastle, heineken, and a few others. Lots of bottled options as well. There is even a bar counter with stools. The taco: correctly fresh fried shell with just the right crunch to give ratio. Lettuce, plenty of shredded melty cheddar, and a wish-there-was-more portion of wet shredded flavorful beef. This, being a hard shell taco, was an anglofied version, but not bad overall, just nothing to rave about. Should have had more meat to elevate it to slightly above average. The relleno: a well deserved four stars. This was no reheated(well I guess it could have been but I couldnt tell) canned relleno with a fried scrambled egg coating. This pepper-o-heaven was whole roasted and battered with a proper, spongey batter with the yolks folded perfectly into the egg white merangue. The batter was surprisingly thin, but perfect. This is my first test in a relleno and, for me at least, the most important. This came swimming in a bath of ranchera sauce, thin and nuanced. Very good. The cheese was neither too much nor too little. Yes, I am a happy camper. My best relleno in a long, long time. Four stars because mine are still better, but not by much.

I had been to Cabos Mexican Restaurant several years ago and kind of forgot about it. Then I happened to be in the area and I was craving some Mexican grub. Then I remembered CMR that was right around the corner from where I was at and I remembered it as being a good value and decent food. I popped in about 5pm to an almost empty place. Couple other customers and me, cool I thought faster service. I was greeted by a sweetheart of a waitress who took my cerveza order and brought me some warm chips and salsa(watery pico) while I figured out my order.
FOODORDERED: Chili Relleno Plate … 2 cheese stuffed chilies, rice & beans. sorry for the weird pics the green lights in the window next to my table made them Martian looking. Fish Taco … Cabos style … battered fish, pico de gallo, Cabo sauce Shredded Beef Taco … Hard shell, S. beef, lettuce, cheese Martian light again FOODTASTE: Chili Relleno Plate … Hey this was a solid plate of food. Rice was meh, the beans were OK but the 2 relleno’s were pretty damn tasty. 3.5***Stars(less 1* for rice & beans) Tacos … The Cabos fish taco was good, I didn’t taste anything special but it was a good taco, the fish crispy and fresh tasting. 3.5 *** Stars The shredded beef taco was bomb! If only it came with tomatoes and avocados. The beef was tender and tasty 4+****Star Just as I was taking my last swig of beer I felt something fall on my leg. WTF all I could think of was that effin black widow that bit me last year! I swatted and looked and saw this little MFer. CUCARACHA! Hey I’m down with a free desert but not the 8 legged kind! –4****Stars! As I looked around a bit closer I noticed that the kitchen was oddly dark and crumbs were lurking all over the place. I was seriously bummed as I thought I found me a new place to eat regular. I’ll not be back, don’t like sharing my food with bugs! Eeek a roach do not eat here!
