This is a fun little show, especially if you’re a fan of Frozen. You basically sit in a theater and sing along with the songs from the movie. The words are up there as well if you don’t know them by heart. There are a few actors, but most of them don’t do much and insert a little comedy here and there while telling you all about the film. I had never seen the film, so it’s now spoiled for me, but that’s fine as I’m really late to the game. Still, it was a worthwhile experience. I would definitely suggest checking this out for any fans of the Frozen film.

Absolutely fabulous sing-along show with live actors and a giant projection screen with clips from the movie — every child will be delighted. Take along a sweater, as the waiting lobby is truly cold and the theatre itself is chilly … because… Elsa makes it SNOW! We went to the first show of the day and the theatre was less than half full — it’s a lovely large room and all seats are good. This is a definite ‘must see’ if you have Frozen fans in your family — and who doesn’t?

Phenomenal 5 star sing-along and live character show! Elsa, Anna, & Kristoff perform a few numbers along with the giant movie screen karaōke! My 6&3 year olds were in heaven when Elsa made it REALLY snow at the end! Consequently, the Royal Jewel Theatre is chilly inside :-) The show lasts about 25 minutes. Fast passes are available but staff advised that the first show of the day(usually 0900 hours) is easy to get into without one. Definite highlight of the trip!

What a wonderful attraction and it’s sooo much fun. How could you not love singing along to Do You Want to Build a Snowman?”, «For the First Time in Forever», «In Summer» and everyone’s all time favorite«Let It Go». Seriously I even heard some Dads singing it was awesome. You sit comfortably in a large auditorium, they have live actors on stage to help facilitate the story. If possible get a fast pass thankfully we didn’t have to wait long and we were able to go right in, not the best seats but we got decent seats, the chairs are comfy and it’s a great attraction.

If you love all things Frozen, you might want to check out the Frozen Sing Along in DCA. The movie is pretty much summed up by two Arendale historians and the songs are played on a big screen with subtitles so everyone can sing along. The best part is the finale where the two royal sisters come out to sing and it «snows» inside the theater. It’s magical and fun for the little ones. It reminds me of the Aladdin show but it seems shorter. The wait for the show can be long though and it’s only in DCA at the Muppet theater for a limited time. Check it out with your family if they are Frozen fans.

For the first time in forever… we got a much better show than Muppet Vision 3D!(Even if we had to get a couple of Fast Passes… it’s that popular.) As part of the Frozen Fun festival that’s going on until May inside Disney California Adventure, the Muppet Vision theater has been changed to the Royal Jewel Theatre, where you’ll experience what’s essentially group karaōke to five of Frozen’s most popular songs. Here, the royal storytellers of Arendelle retell the story of the movie, and expect to see appearances from Anna, Kristoff, and even Elsa… and during the final singalong of «Let It Go,» snow suddenly starts falling from the rafters! Paired with the lighting effects, it’s quite impressive to see. A couple of quibbles — seeing how we’re waiting for the doors to open, while the fake movie prints are fun to see, it would be nice to have the TVs from Muppet Vision back(perhaps airing scenes from the movie as well)… it would cut down on the crowd impatience. And speaking of the crowds, when the cast members tell you to move to the end of the aisle, MOVETOTHEENDOFTHEBLOODYAISLE. We had to step around a group that wanted to sit in the middle and didn’t listen to the cast members directing traffic or the grumbling of the other guests. Let’s just say plenty of shade was thrown at them before the show began… Other than that, we surpringly had a good time at this show — sure, you can get the Frozen Sing-A-Long DVD for the little ones so they can sing at home, but the group experience is something to enjoy(even if all the little girls mangled the glory note during«Let It Go»). To the folks at DCA, you’ve got a winner on your hands with A Frozen Sing Along Celebration — sorry, Muppet Vision 3D, but it’s time to let it go… if anything becomes permanent from the Frozen Fun fest, it should be this one!

One of the lower quality Disney shows I have seen. I went to the 9:30 am show and it was not full. The performers are ok. Aladdin has way funnier jokes. This is not a live performance sing along. You sit and watch movie clips with words at the bottom. The only live singing is when Elsa comes out at the end and sings a bit of Let It Go. You also get some low budget snow foam at the end. Overall, I felt like the show was low budget and quickly thrown together to cash in on the Frozen hype. A very Non Disney Magical show.

I was expecting Disney magic! It falls a bit flat! You basically get the Frozen sing along movie on the big screen! I would recommend getting seats in the middle of the theatre! The words to the songs come out on the bottom of the screen and being up close the little ones won’t be able to see! Also it starts«snowing» towards the end of the show and the kids in the center seats get a better view of all this! I won’t say which characters make an appearance but the main lovable one gets left out! Bummer, I know! The Queen herself needs to put more«umph» in her performance! It just feels awkward watching her lip sync! Overall, it seems like this was put together last minute to use up this building! My little girl loved it and that’s all that really matters! TIP: highly recommend getting the Fastpasses! Three stars!!!

Wanna sing a Disney Frozen song? I heard you like Frozen, saw it a bazillion times, bought the merchandise, and memorized the lyrics for every song. Well, even if you didn’t know all the words, here’s your chance to enjoy the theater scene with live actors retelling the Frozen tale along with karaōke versions of several soundtrack tunes: «Do You Want to Build a Snowman?» «For the First Time in Forever» «Love Is an Open Door» «In Summer» «Let It Go» Use a Fast Pass if you’d like to cut down your standing around time, otherwise you’ll be in another standby line without a guaranteed seat. We arrived at our scheduled time window and got ushered into the theater where we were corralled in the theater lobby. All the seats have a clear view of the stage area, but if you want the front row seats, then get there soon enough to enter through the two left doors. What would you do about line cutters? We try to maintain some sort of social order, but some wild humans suddenly appear next to us just before the doors open. I’m surprised that no one behind us said anything and they snuck to the front of the lobby. Well played, cheaters. The youngest of the clan is clearly chomping at the bit to race towards a seat. I sized them up as they stood just behind us, creeping forward to the side. Then the doors opened and the sneaky little one bolts through the family ahead of us and into the grand hall. We promptly follow behind and I was able to box out the trailing cheaters. I might have hip checked someone into the outward swinging door edge. After settling in our front and center seats, there are the usual preshow announcements, then the lights dim. Spoiler alert! If you are a superfan and wanna experience it, then stop reading, otherwise read on and get back maybe two hours of your park time to venture elsewhere. The actual theater presentation is not bad, since there are cameo visits from Princess Anna, Kristoff, and finally Queen Anna, but like a timeshare you have to endure a presentation before getting to the warm hugs and good stuff. It’s a nice show to cross off the Disney California Adventure bucket list to complete the Frozen Fun area visit along with the Meet the Arendale characters(Anna, Elsa, and Olaf) and the icy Snow Play area since there are no longer any Frozen attractions at Disneyland. Disney’s Frozen Sing-Along edition played in theaters and is also available on DVD. No additional story content. The Duke of Weaselton would definitely be pleased with this free market trade exploitation of your riches.

Description(from the Disneyland Resort website): Delight as Frozen springs to life in this lively retelling — packed with a flurry of stories, songs and sing-alongs. So, this is where the Muppet Vision 3D used to be. They decided to turn pretty much the whole, entire Hollywood Land area into«Frozen Fun» with a dance party, meet and greets, and this sing along place. You walk in, and you wait in a room. It used to be fun, because there was stuff to watch while you wait in Muppet Vision 3D. Now, it is just a room with posters on two of the four walls. It is not very decorated, and in the refurbishment, you think they would have updated their sound system, which sounds awful every time the cast member makes an announcement. The theater looks pretty much the same except there is an actual stage now where the penguin orchestra used to be. It is all about a historian training another historian in how to tell the story of Frozen. During the show, Anna, Elsa, and Kristoph come out, but a majority of it is the audience just watching clips of the movie with lyrics to sing along to.(It is just too bad that not many people were singing.) Overall, it is good, but it is definitely something I would not visit every time I go to Disney California Adventure. It is probably because I liked Frozen — I did not love it.

This attraction is labeled as a, «Sing-Along.» I don’t understand why people are comparing the lack of production expense in this attraction to Aladdin, which is labeled, «A Musical Spectacular.» Aladdin is indeed spectacular, almost like a mini-Broadway production. A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration lives up to the name and title it has been given. Frozen(as almost everyone knows) has taken millions of kids’ hearts by storm. Kids(and adults) everywhere are always singing«Let It Go.» There’s a point when it gets annoying. Not so here in this attraction. The audience is filled with adoring fans of the movie. There are a couple of live actors on the stage, and characters from the movie retelling the cliff-note version of the film. There is also a really big screen behind the actors, depicting images and scenes from the movie(mostly the well-known songs). When the songs are playing, as expected, the lyrics appear on the bottom of the screen with a bouncing snowflake so the audience can sing along. When we went, the audience was completely packed with girls, boys, moms, dads, and all other types. EVERYONE was singing along with all of the songs. They even knew the dialogue in between the verses of the songs. The actors ENCOURAGED everyone to sing along. I found the event to be charming, entertaining, and a whole lot of fun. The show finished off with magic snow. Seriously — are people going to complain here because the snow is fake? What do you expect? Try being a kid at heart. Enjoy the magic. If you can’t, at least look around at the faces of the children — filled with wonder, awe, and excitement. Look at their faces as they enthusiastically sing along! Tip — get fastpasses. This is EXTREMELY popular. Go earlier in the day and get a fastpass. If you wait in line, you won’t be guaranteed a seat.
