A friend of mine replaced the screen on my laptop but didn’t plug it in all the way. I was stopping by and thought this shop will be able to make sure all the ports are plugged in properly. The owner tries to sell me another screen(unnecessary) that was used, trying to cheat me out of my new screen. I told him just to check the ports and he said it’ll be done within an hour. I come back, he said it needed more time. He said he’ll call me on Monday(it was Saturday) and didn’t think much about it. 2WEEKSLATER, I decided to call him to pick up my laptop. He tried selling me some parts for the computer(WHICHWASINPERFECTCONDITIONBTW) and I was already pissed off because he didn’t do what I asked. I come home, my computer won’t even turn on! All I wanted was for him to check the ports! Not that hard people. Anyway, scam-artist posing as a knowledgeable computer person. Will not return and will not recommend.

I took my 3 year old laptop to get my screen fix, they told me it be ready in 30 minutes so I went back but told me to come back, since they needed a bit more time. So I go back later(15 min late) and the guy seemed all annoyed since they were closing. They were closing earlier than their sign stated. Anyway I was charged 80 dollars. The guy made me pay cash and go to the ATM next door but he said he would pay the fee. So I agree and turns out he doesn’t have cash to give me change so I end up paying the fee because he seemed all annoyed of having to pay the fee. Anyway I was semi-satisfied. 2 days later my laptop completely stops working. I take it back and turns out it is a hardware problem and it is not cover under the warranty. I have never had a problem with my laptop and all of a sudden it doesn’t work. He calls me to come to the store and pick up a new laptop from the store. I pick up my laptop and notice that they didn’t put back the laptop well after it had been opened for inspection. Needless to say the guy seems so sketchy and fake. The store just screams«we are going to try to rip you off some way or another.» Will definitely not be going back or recommending him.

Took my laptop in to fix the wireless button. Cost me $ 50. I think they did a band aid job because it was still a little loose and broke again two months later.

I brought my Sony Viao laptop that had crashed with windows Media Center installed to Mo and he had me have XP installed instead — not what I wanted, otherwise I would have bought XP in the first place. Obviously, that’s what he had on hand. Then he said his credit card machine was not working(yeah, right — let’s not report our income) and said I had to pay $ 160 cash. Three weeks later the computer was so full of viruses that I purchased another laptop. This was a couple of years ago, but beware…

So after dropping my old laptop, I decided that I need to get a new one. After getting scammed by some a-hole on craigslist(i swear if i ever see that guy in public, I’m going to beat his a**) I checked Unilocal(of course) and E-World came up. I figured I would at least check it out to see what they were about. and boy, was I surprised. I walked in about a hour before closing time and there were a couple of people inside. The main guy(I swear his name is Mohammad) was super friendly and attentive. Not only did he help me, but the other customers as well. He showed me around 8 – 10 laptops before I decided on one. Gave me a pretty sweet deal and the customer service was superb. If I ever have any computer problems, I definitely know where I am going. I even recommend a friend and he got hooked up on a laptop as well. I honestly was surprised by the excellent customer service I received. If I could give it more stars, I would.

I bought a hard to find print server at E-world at a great price and I haven’t had any problems with it at all. The salesman at the store was very friendly and helpful. Great experience!

I visited this place and bought a refurbished laptop(Specs are something like 2.0 Ghz, 512MB of RAM, 60 gig hard drive) for $ 240, which was a pretty good deal and I was pretty excited about my new purchase. Unfortunately, when I got home it froze on me several times and even blue screened the next day. Eventually, it stopped freaking out and now just runs VERY slowly whenever anything is being copied or downloaded to the hard drive(including installing programs). I took it back to ask them for help and all they did was tweak a couple of settings even though I told them over and over that the problem was with the HARDDRIVE, not the OPERATINGSYSTEM. This went on for a week until I got fed up and stopped returning. While I was initially pleased with the service, it became obvious that they were trying to avoid spending money to replace the hard drive(where I come from refurbished means WORKSLIKENEW). I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and suggest an Acer Aspire One to anyone wanting an affordable laptop that’s both powerful and portable.

So I purchased a laptop about two months ago. Somehow the power supply cord got all effed up and the wires became exposed so it stopped working. So first, I called the place I bought it, Best Buy. They told me it was a manufacturer’s warranty issue and to call Dell. So I called Dell. Dell said Best Buy was in their«retail family» and should be able to give me a new one. So basically it turned into a he-said, she-said thing. My laptop is basically the center of my universe(work, play, etc) and I was not going to go a day without it. How much is a new universal power supply at Best Buy? ONEHUNDREDDOLLARS. You’ve got to be shitting me. So anyway. I found E-World on Craigslist. I called them up. On a Sunday. And they were open til 8:30! They carry both refurbished and new cords(as well as laptops, flat screens tvs, stereo equipment, desktops, computer hardware, etc) and they are much cheaper than Best Buy. I was planning to buy a used one since I’m broke. I had already paid for the one I needed when I realized it had a three-pronged plug and I needed a two-pronged one for my extension cord. The super nice guy at E-World went back to look for one and could only find a brand new one and gave it to me for the same price! I offered to pay extra but he said it was okay. Wow! I haven’t had such good service in so long. I almost fell over. Anyway, you should check them out if you need replacement parts for your computer. Also, they offer in-home computer repair.
