The food is good and comes out quick but the one thing that bugs us to the point of not coming to this location is the incessant, extremely loud banging. I think it’s someone chopping up chicken but it’s to the point where we can’t hear the cashier and he can’t hear us. It’s not a relaxing environment when you’re flinching while eating. Please fix this banging. I know it’s possible because all of the other locations don’t do this one and aren’t as overall loud as this one. We are pretty regular customers stopping in about once every two weeks and I think we may have to find a new location if this doesn’t stop. Please let’s help each other out.

Who doesn’t love Pollo Loco? The food is great. The problem is the service. My coworkers and I eat here almost every day (literally). You would think that they would appreciate loyal costumers but they don’t. They get bothered by our requests for extra salsa, a cup of ice, or even if our order doesn’t look right. They are very rude about it. They do not apologize if they mess up our order and they will blame you for not saying it «loud enough». The girl that stands in the driveway taking orders is extremely nice and fast, but everyone else needs an attitude check. Don’t try and ask for a manager/​supervisor. They will all say they are in charge or that the manager is not there.

First time visiting El Pollo Loco. Service was good in the drive-​thru. The worker was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good, especially for fast food!

Rate a 10 if possible .

Located right next to a Starbucks you cannot miss the building. Almost the corner of Tustin and la Palma.
The building and bathroom both are very clean, which is real nice. I have been to another which the restroom was so bad o would rather wait than use it. Besides clean it is nice and cool. Feels real good on a hot day.
The food I find to be pretty good. Not nasty and over cooked like some places. The only reason I gave it ⁴⁄₅ stars is because there is just not enough chicken for what you pay for.
Other than that I find this place to be pretty a pretty good eating establishment.

Wow what a huge disappointment, first the young girl at the drive thru window acted as if she didn’t hear me when I asked for 2 salsa rojas: /​so I asked a second time, she didn’t say anything just handed me 1 with an attitude about it, as if I bugged her lol Once at work and ready to dig into the chicken and shrimp bowl without rice I ordered, I noticed I was given bean soup instead with only 2 pieces shrimps drowning of course and maybe like 4 pieces of drowned chicken. Last time I go here!

Hadn’t been to an El Pollo Loco in several years but went because we found a $ 10 coupon for a whole chicken. The chicken comes with flour or corn tortilla’s but nothing else. They have a nice salsa bar though. I should have asked if it was possible to buy some cheese.
The chicken was excellent. Much better than KFC and they have similar sides. There was something about having to assemble my own food though. I don’t think I was in the mood for that, but once I did, it was excellent and one flour tortilla wrapped around chicken actually filled me up! However, I did find a way to force down another one.
This particular location was very clean. A little tricky to get in and out of due to the way Tustin Avenue is set up. If you want to head towards Orange, you might need to make a couple U-​Turns, go around the block, or use the parking lot for the shopping area across to the street to turn around.
I’m pretty sure we’ll be back. The coupon only saved us $ 3 so it was still $ 15 something with 2 drinks/​tax, but we took chicken home and had some more the next day. So 2 meals for $ 20 isn’t a bad deal. (They also have some good family meal deals you should check out!)

Hands down my favorite place to go eat. right by my house really good food. The green salsa is amazing and great customer service.

Decent food, healthier than other fast food establishments. service was friendly /​excellent on this visit. Salsa bar was full and clean. I love the brc burrito, side salad and chicken.

If I could give no stars I would! Don’t ever go in the drive thru if your time is limited. I waited 30 mins to place my order to find out they had NO chicken ready at 11:50 am and it would take another 10 mins!!! How do you not have chicken at a chicken place at lunchtime???

Girl with the glasses and a bandaid on her nose sucks at customer service and didn’t give me my right order!!! Time for improvement

This location does quite well with their food. I have been to several el polo loco’s, and I actually liked the chicken here. Most locations that I have been to will serve you dry chicken, that has most likely been sitting in a warming tray drying out. The chicken here is moist, and seasoned well. My only gripe with this place is that I had to tell them several times that I didn’t want tortillas, but a side of broccoli instead. Long story short I had to pay extra for the broccoli, but that didn’t really bother me as much as the time it took to let them know that I was ok with paying extra for the broccoli. All things considered I was happy when I left, and will definitely come back!

Food overall is decent here but do yourself a favor and don’t bother with the chicken burritos. They skimp so much on the chicken on these that they are nothing more than a BRC burrito with a couple minuscule shreds of chicken. Not worth the money at all. Buy a bowl or salad. The burritos suck.

Fantastic El Pollo Loco — my favorite. They have super customer service. If you ask they’ll modify an item — no problem. I use to go to Chick-​fil-​A a lot but El Pollo Loco definitely gives me more for my $$$. Plus I think EPL’s chicken is healthier — no doubt!
This location exceeds my expectations and I will continue to give them my business. One day I sat with a group of 10 people at lunch and a server came to our table, as we were finishing our meals, with a tray of hand wipes, mints and toothpicks. OMG! I’ve never had that kind of service at a fast food place.
FYI — The bacon avocado salad/​tostada is the bomb!!! Add some Horchata and I’m in heaven (lol).

As a chain, I feel nearly every El Pollo Loco offers a relatively light yet hearty, fresh and delicious fare. This El Pollo Loco is no exception, and as it is close to my home, I frequent it.
Qualms? Some.
Why are the onion and cilantro containers on the salsa bar so much smaller than the avocado and pico de gallo? I like cilantro and onion equally as much as my other salsa, but they are usually empty because the containers are so much smaller.
Other than that, the staff is excellent, and provides clean and speedy service. You can’t lose with the classic Chicken Tostada Salad with Creamy Cilantro, and mountains of salsa!

Fast service but stay away during lunch hours because it gets packed

Super Chicken…
Or, «The Crazy Chicken.» I like to call this location «Super Chicken» because, for whatever reason, the food is prepared tastier and using the drive through here is «Super Fast!»
Great option to get a healthier fast food option, when in a bind. Grilled chicken, freshly prepared pinto beans and corn on the cob for roughly 6 bucks is not a bad deal at all.
It has never taken me long to use the drive through here and I never had a bad experience. Overall, I am a fan of this location.

I eat here all the time for lunch. Its my semi-​healthy lunch choice.
Very close to work makes this a convenient place for lunch, toss in the fact that they have a drive thru and its a no brainer when the lunch bunch is feelin loco.
And any place that fire grills your food is a notch above the competition (KFC) in my book.
This is the busiest EPL I’ve ever seen with a big lunch crowd. Still the service is quick and efficeint and I don’t ever remember them getting my order wrong. Never had a bad meal and the price is right too.
I like the chicken legs, always have been a leg man since I was a kid. Some things never change.

The Pollo bowls are mighty good too. They jam beans, rice, diced onions, fresh cilantro and pico de gallo. All the good stuff into a bowl and its party time for your mouth. Like the Loco Salad they’re great with the cilantro dressing and some more pico de gallo and the avocado salsa! 3.5***Stars

The tortilla soup is pretty tasty loaded with shredded chicken, corn, celery, carrots, roasted poblanos, red & green bell peppers, Cotija cheese, cilantro and colorful tortilla strips. 4****Stars

I also dig the tacos al carbon. Cheap and tasty! 3.5****Stars
But my new favorite is the Poblano burrito!

I like the salsa bar here too, and the avocado salsa rocks! Nothing very hot though they still have a nice mix of salsa flavors. Cilantro, onions, pico de gallo 4****Stars
I occasionally have ordered food for 20 – 30 people from here and It’s a bargain to feed a bunch of hungry peeps. They hook you up with all the fixins, sides, and tortillas. Even plates & utensils as well.
My only negative on El Pollo Loco is that they got no heat! The salsas are fine for Joe Blow from nowhere midwest county white USA. But come on man this is California the biggest state in Mexico. Help a border brother out and give me some heat! Jalapeño, Habanero Pollo cries for this stuff!
The place is always clean even during the lunch rush.
The people who work here all are very nice and polite too!
They have a nice salsa bar. Get the avacado stuff.
Think they have wi-​fi too. And S-​bucks is next door for the caffine afflicted too!

Wow. I was extremely surprised by the quality of my chicken taco and chicken burrito! I remember going to el pollo loco when I was younger but I didn’t like it (probably bc I used to prefer fried chicken over grilled, haha)
Pros:
–the tasty tasty chicken! They were juicy, well-​seasoned and super soft. Great chicken! I was surprised by the price of the taco and burrito at first, but then i realized it was back up by quality!
–The hot sauce packets! I was also surprisingly delighted by the flavor in these packets, so much better then taco bell sauce packets!
–the taco! The shell was perfectly crispy and had the most perfect bite
Cons:
–I asked for pico de gallo and they only Gave me hot sauce packets. Dislike.
