Overpriced build your own pizzeria$$$. They charge $ 2 for certain extra toppings. I wanted ricotta and that was another $ 2 extra, so my b.y.o.p. ended up costing me $ 13!!! That’s almost 2x compared to the other well established byop places. As for the taste, Pieology and Blaze is better. We only tried this because it was the last eatery at the Anaheim Packing House that we haven’t tried and this visit made it easy for us to cross it off our list for good. Maybe that’s why this place is usually empty. Would rather spend the money at the other eateries that offer more distinction.

The outdoor bar area is where we hung out — I initially didn’t know it was part of Ecco Pizza. If you want to sit at the bar, you can just walk up if there are seats, but if you wish to be seated, you need to check in with the hostess. They have an array of drinks and whiskeys to choose from. Cocktails are about $ 10, which are reasonable, and they have different types of Punches for $ 12. I got a drink that tasted like banana, which was sweet and refreshing. My second drink had some kind of Champagne and berries, which was also good(also a bit strong, which I liked). Bartenders are friendly, and I really like the outdoor seating area during nice weather. It started to rain, but we were on our way out luckily. My friend also ordered the meatball sliders, which came with two — she said they were good. They took forever to come out, though. I think we were done with our first drink by the time they brought out the food, so that was a bit of a disappointment. Other than that, I’d definitely hang out here over Blind Rabbit any day!

Pricey when compared to other pizza restaurants of the same nature. Food is good. Topping chooses are good. Just sort of expensive as additional toppings cost extra. The location is nice and has a nice outdoor seating with a bar that I have yet to experience as I’m not big on lunchtime beers. Definitely worth a trip.

Went here last night and I thought it was great! I have been to Packing District several times before. Definitely enjoyed the ambience of a cozy outside bar setting. The Drinks: We ordered a spicy gin gimlet drink as well as a whiskey tango, both of which were great! The bartender was courteous and took effort into making the drinks. They were also presented very well. The Food: We ordered some of the best bruschetta I’ve ever had. Made with burrata and the bread made with a perfect balance of crunchy outside and a soft inner portion. We also had the Diavola pizza(without meat). I am a fan of spicy and oo dang that hit the spot. Spiciest pizza I’ve ever had but with a nice taste. Only the crust was a little charred. The Service: Everyone was very nice and respectful, but I could tell they may have a little understaffed. Only two bartenders taking care of the patio outside, when they could use one server walking around and two bartenders at the bar. Would definitely go again and recommend it!

Tasty drinks and fun relaxed patio vibes. Margarita was delish and my Bloody Mary was good too. Perfect spot for people watching or ending you day at the Packing House.

Not impressive. Creative cocktails that don’t deliver on flavor. Slow and inconsiderate service. If you have some money to burn and time to kill then this is your place. Location is cool, atmosphere is nice, could use a management and staff takeover. My advice… get beer or wine and then move on to something else.

My wife and I skipped the pizza and went straight for the stunning outside patio bar they have at this location. We sat down to a messy bartop astrune with the dishes and glasses of previous guests. We waited for a few minutes eyeing for a busboy, but after what seemed an unacceptable amount of time for the mess to have been left untended to, I asked the bartender, who we later learned was named Brooke, «where do your busers hide so that I can go yell at them for you?» She gave me a half-smirk and said, «I don’t have one, it’s just me out here.» I paused in disbelief, «Really, it’s just you, no bussers or other bartenders out here, on Valentine’s Day?» I asked. «Yes.» she replied as I quickly did a headcount of the patio. «So your manager scheduled you on a holiday to serve almost 40 guests [37 exact count] by your lonesome?» «He did.» she answered. «What’s his name and why isn’t he jumping in to help you?» I pressed. «Eric, and I am not sure why he isn’t.» was all she could offer. The rest of the visit was fine, my wife and I sat back and watched Brooke hold down the fort like a champ, taking and mixing complicated order after order, bussing table tops, and closing checks with the kind of effective triage I imagine you’d like to see in a combat doctor. The cocktails were great, the location was beautiful, but we were pissed watching this capable bartender have to take on more than any single team member should have been assigned to on a busy holiday. Our drinks finished, we thanked Brooke for working on Valentine’s Day, and headed in to find Eric so that we could tell him what a great job his teammate was doing despite the poor staffing, but upon asking the cashier where we could find Eric, we were informed that he was off. Perfect. Eric, you owe your staff better. ECCORESTAURANT, LLC, you owe yourselves a better class of manager.

Will update as soon as I try their pizza But I was only at their bar and this review is soley on bar section The bartenders were so chill and easy to talk to When I was there, there were three drunk people sitting at the bar making small talks with the bartender. Beer I wanted ran out while she was pouring into a glass so she just gave me the pour she had which was 2⁄3 way full and told me i can just drink it Think I would have been not happy if I was charged for it but since she gave it to me on the house it kind of set me in a good mood We originally was going to bar hop but decided to stay there for the night and drank quite a bit and she kept us entertained The guys that were sitting next to us were so drunk and was being rude to her and they finally got kicked out by the security At first I couldnt find the bar for the longest time but its located outside by the pizza place

This place is perfect for a date. All dining is on the patio and it’s gorgeously lit at night. I’ve visited a handful of times and my favorite part of Ecco are the drinks. The cocktails are well crafted and drink selection extensive. Generic drinks(G&T, Old Fashioned, etc.) are pushed out quickly. I tried the Garden Gimlet last time and it was love at first sip! It’s a gin(Hendricks) based drink with lime, ginger, and bell pepper. It tastes as crisp and refreshing as it sounds. Perfect for summer afternoons. Food here is decent, but this isn’t a restaurant for culinary pioneers. We ordered grilled oysters, arugula salad, and the Guido pizza to share. The quality of ingredients used were fresh and the Guido Pizza had a generous serving of sausage on top. Everything was«good.» You can find similar woodfired pizzas and salads anywhere. Service here is friendly and quick. The host greeted me with a smile and was able to wrangle me a table, on a Saturday night, within 5 minutes. I was impressed.

This place is so fun! The outdoor bar they have going on is pretty special. I can’t wait for summer nights to enjoy cocktails out here. But even in the«winter» they set up heat lamps which is nice and cozy! The bartenders are amazing! From their customer service to their cool flannel outfits… They make you feel comfortable and their drinks! WOW. They’ve been trained by the best because I have yet to try a drink that I don’t like from here. PS. Train shots… You get $ 0.25 shots whenever the train goes by– woohoo! Order some drinks, then grab a pizza! I recommend the Sangria and the Prosciutto pizza.

Just dropped in to let you all know that if you order the grilled oysters, you get a grand total of 3!!! Yep, that’s 3 oysters for $ 10 folks. Not 6 or 12 like a normal restaurant, 3ONLY3!!! Anyways, it was pretty hard to get over the feeling of being completely ripped off to notice that the meatball sliders I ordered were quite nice. Sweet toasty bun with a fresh made meatball and slice of gourmet salami all melted up perfectly in their old fashioned wood burning pizza oven — 1 star recovered for that.

It took me a couple of visits to the Packing House to stop at Ecco, mainly because pizza leaves up little room for other food. We kept it simple and shared a margarita half with pesto, half bacon marmelade. The service is exceptional, as is the quality of their ingredients, granted they charge about double of other create you own pizza places, but you can taste the difference. The bacon marmelade was very sweet, no one else at the table other than me liked it, I thought both that and the pesto were excellent and very flavorful. Nice indoor as well as outdoor seating, worth checking out!

In a world of so many make-your –own pizza options i.e. BLAZE, pieology, pizza press, pizza studio… How does yet another one of these pizza shops survive? Well I guess pizza is just always going to be one of those go-to staples. Ecco doesn’t really have anything to separate its self from all the others except the price. It’s 2 – 3 dollars more than most places. I will say that they do make a pretty good pizza. It’s made fresh and with all fresh ingredients. Much like the other places, it takes 5 – 7 mins and a hot gooey pizza is there to fill your hearts content. The service was good and the restaurant was clean. I think the addition of this pizza shop was a good addition to the packing house, it just needs a little something extra to justify the price hike. If you are already at the packing house and have a hankering for pizza drop by, but I wouldn’t make a trip here just for Ecco.

It was fun to see them making pizzas! Mmm I didn’t really know all the ingredients, some of them were unfamiliar to me. So just tired #9, which contains mozzarella and spicy bacon. It’s pretty simple, they put ingredients pretty lightly. I want to have enough amount of cheeseee :\. It tasted good though not really fantastic. The pizza was pretty sweet which I didn’t like.

Came Saturday evening and the air was just cooling down, with the pretty lights coming on outside the packing district. We wandered out to get away from the packing district crowd and ended up plopping down here. Who doesn’t like outdoor patio bars? We waited about 15 minutes to get our orders taken, and that was probably only because I began to impatiently give the bartenders the stink eye. I hate being THATPERSON but it was pretty ridiculous since there were 3 of them and the bar was not crowded at all at the time. But once we got our orders taken, Travis was subsequently attentive and courteous and we were able to squeeze in 4 drinks within a 45 minute period. The Southern Pacific(Rittenhouse Rye, basil, Gifford’s Peach, and tea) was heavenly. It wasn’t too strong at first but when I told Travis, he added some extra rye. I’m usually not a fan of rye but he really made a girl feel like she could switch over to rye preference over bourbon. The peach was not too overpowering(after the additional liquor) and there was a complex beauty to the drink that I ended up ordering the same drink again, even when there was a lot more on the menu to try. Yall should definitely check that out.

Last visit I only had drinks at the bar but got around to trying the pizza and its pretty good. As far as custom pizza’s go, Pieology is one of my favorites but this actually topped it in flavor as well as Ecco having larger toppings. If Ecco were closer to where I live, it would be my new go to for customizable pizza’s. Lunch 8÷8÷2015

Drinking area is nice– sucks that they close early. Stiff drinks and social bartenders– all a plus. They also serve some food items in this area that aren’t pizza. They had mac and cheese on the night I visited. Also had a chance to try a variety of their pizzas and of the three times I have tried it, 2 of those visits have delivered. I personally enjoy their white pizza and the goomba pizza. The pizza itself works like other build it yourself pizza concepts… not too long of a wait to get your thin crust pizza. One other con was that I ordered in advance for pick up but when I showed up, they clearly had forgotten and made me wait an extra 20 minutes. What was the point in calling?

Ecco is located on the first floor, right across from Hans ice cream. It’s another make-it-your-own pizza shop where they also provide already made pizza selections. I just got the margherita and it looked super amazing, the fresh mozzarella, the big pieces of basil, and the awesome stone oven they cook it in. The thin crust was cooked to perfection, every bite was crunchy. That where the 3 stars come from. What is disappointing is the lack of flavor in their bland tomato sauce. Even store bought pizza sauce had more flavor than the sauce here which was a bummer. Customer service was okay, They serve their pizzas on a plate so if you want your pizza to go, they have boxes on the shelve for you.

My friends and I met up at the Packing House last weekend because it was the Packing House’s one-year anniversary. There were some booths set up outside in the grassy area but as it was hot, we went looking for refreshments. After grabbing a beer from Iron Press and the Hammer Bar, we made our way to Ecco Pizza Shoppe for pizza. It was in between lunch and dinner so the place wasn’t packed. We ordered the bruschetta($ 5) and burrata($ 6) appetizers along with the #7 Diavola pizza($ 10). The burrata was served with arugula, pesto on crostini, prosciutto and a lovely slab of burrata mozzarella cheese. It was delectable. The bruschetta also had burrata and chopped tomatoes. The Diavola pizza was made with calabrese, crushed San Marzano tomatoes, several varieties of hot peppers and fresh mozzarella. The pizza was spicy and tasty. It was perfectly cooked but I can see how it would get soggy quickly if overloaded with toppings. I found some seats at the full bar outside and had my party move to sit at the bar. Isabella helped us out and said that we could order any food from the menu at the bar as well. That’s definitely nice to know, since we ordered inside before sitting at the bar. I ordered the Kentucky punch($ 10) served in a mason jar, which was made with bourbon, aperol, sparkling wine, lemon-lime and soda. It was really tasty. My dining companion had the Highland punch($ 10) which was strong but tasty. The last drink I ordered was the red sangria($ 9) which they have a pre-made wine mix in giant beverage containers but continue to add alcohol and fruit to it until you have a finished drink. It was delicious. Travis made the sangria as Isabella was just finishing up her shift. One of my friends does not drink so she had the pear frozen concoction out of the machine that was non-alcoholic. They add the alcohol after which was nice for her since it’s not usually the case. We had great service and a wonderful easy-going time at the bar. I love the new addition to the Packing House.

Good pizza, fabulous patio, awesome service. 1 point taken off cause the reality of it is my pizza was a little burnt. I wish it had not and it personally was easy for me to work around it, but I was alone and could afford the waste. Service was awesome. Staff is attentive, informed and engaging.
