One of my favorite places to eat in Anaheim! My whole family loves this restaurant. The pita sandwich special which is advertised outside is the best deal. I prefer the beef over the chicken. Sandwich is bursting with flavor and they also season the fries well. The pink sauce is my favorite. The staff is also friends and helpful. Only con is they are closed on Sundays, but I highly recommend :)

I got the lunch special sandwich, which is basically your choice of chicken and beef wrapped with a pita bread. There’s also some greens inside. It comes with a side of either rice, fries, or salad. I thought the meat was decent. The beef was definitely juicier. The sides were nothing special. I did like the fries, but its hard to mess that up for me. What really stood out was that red/pink sauce. It was so good! I couldn’t stop drenching my meat with it! It’s not really spicy but it goes so well with the meat.

Falafel is kinda overfried, the outside is too dark and hard with a bitter taste. I prefer it slightly brown. Sauce is a lil too sour for my taste. I’d come back if I was nearby anaheim but order something else. Everyone was too busy to acknowledge customers. I could order the same thing for $ 5 for 6 piece somewhere else, more for my money. So I’m paying over a $ 1 for one piece. It’s over priced here :/I like how the atmosphere is spacey. The tables need a little cleaning.

This place is so good! So far I’ve had the chicken and beef doner kebab and the Adana kebab plate, all very tasty! The service is awesome, the food is real and fresh plus it’s halaal, what more could you ask for?!

I seriously don’t know why this place has great ratings. This is one of the few where I have to strongly disagree with the majority. There is nothing special about this place except the great reach they have across social media platforms. I guess it’s not about the food anymore and all about the filters and hype. This place was the destination of my weeklong planned and anticipated family outing(by me) — oh how embarrassed I am for suggesting this place. We arrived at donor g’s non-appealing and unimpressive storefront. The older man at the register was rude, unhelpful, and was so uninviting. Questions are not welcome, responses are short and no explanations will be offered. We all ordered #102, the receipt printed #101. Turns out they are the same thing. Um okay… Got the first two dishes, sauces were missing. Foodwise: whatever. That’s all I have to say. The meat was dry. This has to be one of the most mediocre Mediterranean places I’ve tried and I love Mediterranean food. That on top of the dry experience that it was. Yeah, whatever.

Gyros are very dry, and kabobs are full of fat. Lebanese hummus is 10 times better, and I understand this place is Turkish, but still quality could be better. In terms of better gyros you really don’t have to look very far for it! The sauces are very generic as well! I won’t be coming back

Sick and tired of holiday food I had a hankering for something different. Then I remembered I had a coupon from DonerG. I dug it out and it was for a FREE warp when you purchase a entrée. I also saw they utilize EAT24 so I placed an order for pickup. Once I arrived my food was ready but I have mistakenly not ordered an entrée. I had only ordered one chicken wrap and one beef wrap so I ordered a chicken plate and get it to dine in so I could enjoy it. I also got a drink to go with my food. I was also able to take advantage of the Unilocal check-in offer for a FREE(my fav F-word) baklava and it was drizzled in chocolate. I’m not a chocolate person but I had a sick patient at home that would enjoy it. PERFECT little pick me up! The game was on so I found a seat in a booth and chill-axed while I waited for my food. My food and to-go order was brought over to me. It looked DELISH! Quite a change from my southern Thanksgiving and probably a whole lot healthier. The chicken plate came with a mini salad, a heaping amount of chicken slice from the spit, and pita cut up into triangles. It was a lot of food. I dove in teeth first! The chicken was SUPERDUPER tender but I wish it was a bit more flavorful. Pretty good! While I was relaxing and eating one of the employees came over with some hummus and pita COMPLIMENTS of the HOUSE! Wow such service! I was pretty blown away and it was GOOD to boot! I hate when FREEFOOD is nasty. Not the case here. I couldn’t eat anymore. I had to tap out! I was full as a tick! I got a togo container and bagged up my super late lunch to take home along with my chicken and beef gyros. I was able to have a light dinner and then lunch and dinner the next day because there was so much food. Pretty good food and they have a location in Anaheim and Irvine if that is closer to you.

Guys up at cashier where nice enough to give me a sample before I ordered my plate! Food was great and served fast. Only negative thing I can say is lady kept mopping next to my table while I was eating. I dont enjoy the smell of fabuloso while I’m trying to enjoy my meal. :/

First walked in the restaurant, there was a lady mopping the floors and it smelled with such strong odor from the cleaning supplies. We waited to order since we were still looking at the menu. The guy who took our order seemed like he had a long day and didn’t even want to be there anymore. I got the 103(combo with beef and chicken). I remember having this before at the Irvine location and it was amazing! So I wanted to try it again. To my surprise, when our food came out, my meats were on the colder side and both my beef and chicken were dry. I figured it could have been the pieces on top, so I kept eating and nope, pretty much my whole plate was cold and the meat was dry. The salad was oily and the rice was bland. I probably won’t be back to this Anaheim location again.

Hidden in a strip mall off Ball and State College, behind a car wash is dönerG, a Turkish /Mediterranean restaurant. We came here on a Saturday and arrived before the lunch rush. Stephen and I both decided on the dönerG Pita Special that was posted outside. The last time I was here was back in September 2014. The pita special went up a buck to $ 7.99, but it’s still the best deal in town. Stephen chose the beef with rice, and I chose the chicken with fries. For checking in on Unilocal,we got a free baklava for dessert. The food was made to order, and was told to sit down and the food will be served to us. The pita sandwich was generously filled with meat and vegetables. There was a reason they wrapped the sandwich in foil… eating the sandwich was messy! I unwrapped mine too early and the contents came spilling out, and my hand was covered in the sauce. We tried each other’s sandwiches and I liked Stephen’s beef pita more. The chicken wasn’t as flavorful compared to his, but I liked my fries more than his rice. For dessert, Stephen inhaled the baklava. It was flaky, sweet and just the right size to complete his meal. An overall good meal, and a super affordable price.

It was okay. I like the cleanliness, friendly staff, and presentation of food. The food was alright, healthy choice compared to other Mediterranean places I’ve been too. I had the Chicken Doner Kebab plate which wasn’t bad but there just wasn’t any flavor. The salad was fresh and rice was cooked well. I don’t know there just wasn’t a wow factor for me to come back here. I’m glad I got to try there baklava since it was free when you check in on Unilocal ;)

Great Turkish food at an affordable price! The meat is savory, the rice is prepared to perfection and the pita is fresh. The staff is super friendly and, if you’re in a group, they will begin cooking everyone’s food at the same time, so that they can serve it all at once. Additionally, this is an order-at-the-front and sit-down-to-eat type of place, so you aren’t required to tip. Most meals will be under $ 10. For anyone not familiar with Turkish food, think of Afghan kebabs with a Mediterranean flair. Turks are also all about lamb. I highly recommend trying the Adana Kebab, which is lamb kebab, and comes with white rice, pita bread, cucumber and tomatoes. Give this place a try!

I’ve lived near this place all my life and I finally found out about this place! My friends and I came here on a Thursday night around 7pm and it was super dead! We each ordered our own plate. I got the chicken plate and it came with a side of salad, rice, pita, and some dipping sauce. The chicken was super moist and tender and very flavorful! I liked this better than the beef(Which i got to sample before I ordered). I also got some free baklava for checking into the restaurant on Unilocal! It’s pretty good but a little to sweet for me. My sister and I ordered at the same time. She wanted to beef gyro but after waiting for a bit, they brought out her order and they gave her the wrong thing. They gave her a chicken gyro instead. My sister doesn’t like to complicate things so she just kept the order and was pretty satisfied with it. The beef, which I sampled, was a little on the dry side so glad my sister and I got chicken. Definitely coming back if I am in the mood for mediterranean food! NOTE: Free Baklava with Unilocal Check-In

Ok is it me or have I become a food snob! I don’t know what to say but living in the West Side has so many great places from hole in the walls to fancy places and the food actually taste fresh and great! But here in Orange County all I get is dissatisfaction! Second time in the past month I tried a place in the OC based on Unilocal reviews only to come to crap! This place was awful. Oil oil and more oil! Oil in the rice, oil in the meat, pita bread soaked in oil. Why? I ordered a Kabob which is supposed to be on a stick with chunks of meat only to get a bunch of shredded chicken, all brown meat drenched in oil. No thanks!!!

Was very excited to try Doner G given its reviews and my love of Doner Kebabs. I found the lamb/beef doner to be very very dry. The chicken Doner was better, moist and succulent. The salad was fresh and tasty. So disappointed in the dry beef Doner the first time around, gave them another shot a couple of days later. Things went from bad to worse. Second time round, not only was the beef as dry as before but our orders were also messed up. Took three attempts to get our order right. You might have thought that all that beef being carved off would have enabled some of the fresher juicier beef Doner to be served, sadly I don’t think juicy is something they are capable of. My hunt for good Doner kebabs continues.

This is a fabulous little Middle Eastern casual dining spot. Dubai, Abu Dhabi, are lined with hundreds of these types of restaurants serving doner, schwarma, or some my her rotisserie meat form with hummus, etc. and this restaurant brings delicious Middle Eastern authenticity right to Southern California. The manager, Martin, runs a great shop here — gave us a tour of the menu with a great explanation for the items I wasn’t familiar with; he brought the food right out to us and was happy to do so. The meats are fresh — sliced right off the rotisserie in front of you — thin and well spiced. I throughly enjoyed and will come back the next time I am in Anaheim. Keep up the phenomenal work, Martin!

I heard about his place from the Unilocal event earlier this year at the Anaheim Garden Walk… Unfortunately that night they didn’t have chicken… but they are lucky I paid attention… This place is really surprisingly good and well priced… enough food to fill you up with perfect flavors in their wraps… You can get Pita or Wrap… i prefer the Wrap… My co-worker fell in love with this place as well… too bad we aren’t close to it but it gives us an excuse to visit our customers nearby!

3 ½ but I rounded up. Clean store and I am always greeted when I come in the staff is always friendly and accommodating when I want something weird, yes as long as they have the stuff they will modify the menu to a certain extent. The food is good I have eaten the gyro as well as the chicken pita sammich their salads but I love their stuffed grape leaves. I have come in and just ordered those to go for a light lunch. Today I had the vegetarian plate, it was very filling almost to heavy. I’m wondering how much salt was in this because I cannot drink enough water this afternoon. Not to self — make this 2 meals next time and always drink water like you just ate cup of salt. Unilocal check in for free baklava is awesome and it says for eat in order, but they are cool with giving it to people ordering to go.

Two years after my initial review I finally make it make to Doner G really excited to have what i remembered to be one of the better Doners in California. I should have really left it and just had them be a good memory, this visit was a real let down. I tried both meats again and felt the chicken was better than last time and wanted a doner with half beef, half chicken. They can’t do that, no idea why, so I went with beef. My husband got one with chicken and one with beef and we had fries and salad as well. Food took awhile to come out and while I did enjoy the fries and salad, the beef had plastic wrap all over it, as in they wrapped the meat the night before and reheated today without removing all the plastic! Needless to say we did not eat any more after that and when mentioned it to the staff they made us one new one, two were messed up and by then we were pretty grossed out. Still a free baklava with check in, much better and fresher than last time. While the chicken and baklava was better then last time, the beef mishap was really reason enough for us to not want to return again.

I am VERY glad to get to try this spot from our Unilocal Monster Mash II2015 this year! After trying a sample, I knew I would definitely go to the restaurant and get a full meal! 2 days later, we went to this location and the food is AMAZING! Location: in the corner of Ball and State College. Right next to 7-Eleven. Parking: Plenty of parking on this corner lot Customer Service: Awesome! Very friendly workers Unilocal Check-In Special — One free baklava Food: You can see the fresh chicken and beef rotating to the left of the order counter. All the meats are made fresh when you order it. They do not pre-cut the meat and leave it in a container then re-cook it on a stove when you order it(Unlike the other guys I have heard about. I won’t be calling any names but they are the new spot that just opened up in Costa Mesa and is ALLHYPE) This spot actually makes good delicious food without the crazy long lines. Items my friends and I have tried: 101 Doner Kebab — Beef — My go to dish. The beef is very tender and flavorful. The rice is my favorite too! The dish comes with some Pita bread on top and on bottom of the meat so you get normal pita bread and the bottom pita bread is the best because all of the flavor of the meat sitting on top of it. My friend has tried the chicken one and it was okay. The beef is a lot better in my opinion. 105 Doner G Grill Combo — Comes with combo shish, adana kebab and combo dinner kebab. Pretty much a little it of everything. This is a dish that is meant to be shared! My friend Vu actually finished almost the whole plate himself. So for those with a big appetite, this dish is the dish for you. This also comes with the salad, rice and pita bread. 106 Shish Kebab — I got the Veal and I really love this dish. For those who aren’t sure what Veal is, it is actually baby cow/calf meat. It is very tender and soft, almost like filet mignon. Probably my favorite dish. This also comes with the salad, rice and pita bread. 201 Doner Kebab Gyro Pita Sandwich — I actually got this for free from the coupon I got at the Unilocal Monster Mash event. I was already full from my other dish but the sandwich is very big with lots of meat inside! I just ate all the beef inside instead LOL Overall, I really love this spot. I have been back twice since in the past week. I would definitely come back if I am in the area or craving for some really good beef diner kebab! If you haven’t tried this spot yet, give it a try!

Decent food, friendly service, 3.5 stars! My coworkers and I came for lunch and were pretty satisfied. We all had the beef/lamb gyro pita sandwich. The pita sandwich, they explained, is the thicker pita bread, and the wrap is a larger, thinner pita. The gyro alone is $ 5ish, so it made sense to make it a combo to get a side(rice, salad or fries) for a total of $ 7ish. The pita bread is soft and delicious. The beef/lamb(they do mix a layer of each) was flavorful but on the dry side. Perhaps the meat was too lean? I would have liked it a bit juicier. Don’t forget to add the white sauce on top! It also had a spot with a bit of a kick too. My salad which consisted of lettuce, cucumber and tomatoes tasted good but it’s pre tossed with olive oil and vinegar so the tomatoes were getting just a bit soggy. Check in on Unilocal for free baklava! It was good and not as sweet as other places. Not bad for a quick lunch. They have plenty of tables and it wasn’t too busy on a Friday afternoon. Server was very nice and checked on us while we were eating. Would come back!

Recently my boyfriend and I have been on a Mediterranean food kick. Looking for the best in Anaheim. DonerG is so clean, the staff is very friendly, and the food is delicious. I got the chicken doner pita sandwich and my boyfriend got the doner wrap. The food is so fresh and taste so good! And the price is pretty standard. For those two things it came out to around $ 12.50. And with the check in we got two free baklavas which were a bit sweet but still really good. I definitely recommend this place!
