Denny’s

Do NOT come on a Sunday! Maybe it’s because of the motel next door or because it’s right off of the fwy, but start to finish, the experience sucked!
We were told the wait to be seated was 20 – 30 minutes and 45 minutes later, after complaining about 2 parties, that arrived after we did, being seated, we finally got to our table. The waiter was fine, but our food took well over half an hour to arrive to our table (we ordered a BFast slam and the pancake BFast… Guess the chicken hadn’t laid the eggs yet). The food was fine; or we were famished, not sure which, but at no point did the manager come and apologize for the delay. Last, but not least, the straw that broke the back, when we asked for the bill, we tried to give the waiter our card for payment, he said we had to go and wait in the payment line! We arrived at 10:45, our food was at our table a few minutes past 12:30 and we waited 10 minutes to pay … And no apologies from anyone!

Not a great place to eat. Our experience today was worse than usual. The service was horrible.

The food was horrible! The food was served cold, our Orange Juice was watered down and after telling our server to replace it we only got a fresh new glass of the same watered down Orange Juice. The place was very clean but other then that it was a complete waste of money.

Worst dennys ever. Ordered coffee had a dirty cupm tea was old as well as the lettuce then friend gets her chicken skillet with a mans pubic hair from his chin in it

This place is ran by one waitress my husband and I joked about it before we walked in I told him I hope we don’t get that same waitress we get every time we come and sure enough it was Veronica she runs the whole place don’t expect to get anything without asking 2 – 3 times she gets your order wrong every time does not bring refills and walks by your table without making any eye contact we will definitely not return

Place is the usual the service is ok so you know what to expect I haven’t ever been wowed at a Denny’s but food is just something quick to eat.

Was calling Denny’s in the area to check for waitlist, called 3 this is the first one that picked up. Other branches just let it ring forever and never picked up

Denny’s food… Typical pretty much every location you go to.
The location itself had a funny smell inside. Musty?
Our waitress was nice, but I wish she didn’t wear so much «old lady» perfume. I had to stop breathing every time she walked by bc it was getting me sick.
Not the best location and to be honest it was bad enough to NOT go back here. But let’s see what happens.

Food was good, service was AWFUL.
So to the chef two thumps up. To the waitress two thumps down.

It’s no surprise that this Dennys has 3 stars. This location happens to be owned by the same owner as the Downey ca location. Coincidently the Downey location is also a underperforming restaurant too. Both locations are managed by the district manager (Ray) The male hispanic manger is the most incompetent, none empathetic person I’ve ever run into. I once had the opportunity to point out to Ray. The common thread between these franchise owned locations is lousy service. Isn’t this supposed to be a pro service related industry that caters to guest with the highest level of «sercice». I doubt the owner is aware of how his businesses are being run. I invite you the owner to contact me. I’m available to talk… Any time.

It’s a Denny’s, and food is good and decent.
Just be aware that they don’t take electronic coupons any more. If u get a coupon in email, be sure to print it out

Sara our waitress is so pleasant and personable! She greeted us with a great smile. We customized our lunch order, Cobb salad substitute with salmon, and spaghetti, substitute with grilled salmon.

Cooks where very slow manager tried to work with them but cooks didn’t work with him and keept taking forever on makeing the food the place was not even busy

This is a hidden gem Denny’s. Place is never packed and the service is a Denny’s service. Food still taste like any other Denny’s, consistent… I tried the last 2.5 years though to do phone order pick ups but Unilocal or Google and search engines have an old number that never works so I just call and can’t just call & pick up… Smh, not the best for when I want a meal ready to go…

Accommodating and pleasant service. Clean and pretty fast. Here at 1:30am on a Tuesday morning

I come here all the time. Place near the bathrooms does have a smell but anywhere else tables are good. The server Sarai is the best, I always come during her shift. She knows my order and even though she is busy she has a great attitude and provides speedy service.
Management could do a better job a making the place have a cleaner vibe.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! WARNING.WARNING. Every time I walk into this restaurant the bald guy is always talking to the waitresses. There could be 10 people piled up at the door and he doesn’t give a fuck, he takes his sweet time to be telling waitresses what to do on a busy Sunday morning vs. taking care of customers first.
1. They will not come to check on your table after they have served you.
2. If you are ready to leave you have to get up and go ask for your bill or else you will be there for a looooooong time IF they even come by.
3. Their waitresses have very poor presentation, they don’t even do their hair, it looks like they go to work just the same way they look when they get up from bed, very sloppy presentation.
4. Once, I ordered an omelette that came with of piece of cardboard in it, I almost chocked on it.
I rarely write reviews, but this place is just terrible in all aspects… not to mention it needs a face lift, it stinks inside like a 1950’s library mixed with sewer.
There are many Denny’s restaurants, avoid this one by all means!

You would think this Denny’s would be packed being right off the 91 freeway at State College, around the corner from the Venetian Gentlemen’s Club and next door to a Motel 6. Every time we have eaten at this Denny’s, it’s been nearly empty with usually only one visible server on the floor.
But my husband and I are pretty good at timing to eat at places when the crowds are minimal to non-​existent.
Got here today at 440pm, 2 tables of diners were just finishing up, so we had the joint all to ourselves, yippy skippy! Had a full order of nachos, the peanut butter chocolate chip pancake breakfast and a grand slam sandwich breakfast. Food was all to the good and then some. Our server always stayed on top of things too, well how could he not, it was just us in there, until a woman with 2 kids entered to eat.
I would have given this Denny’s a 2 – 3 stars before just for being too empty and desolate, but I decided to be more fair with my evaluation, that’s why the solid 4.

My pancakes were like a memory foam mattress
My husbands eggs were clear snot
everything tasted stale
and my brother in laws bacon tasted like… THATS RIGHT! NO TASTE!!! it was actually disturbing how it looked like bacon, kinda smelled like bacon, but when you bit into it… like eating a cardboard box.
Never again… just…Never again…
