Caught these guys at the Fairplex and MAN… those were good crepes. Seemed like much nicer portions than most crêpe places I’ve been to. If your ever near the Fairplex on a Thursday… check these guys out… Tasty.

Stood in line for 30 minutes, made it to the front of the line, only to be told they were not taking any more orders. They gave no warning that they were going to stop taking orders. A courteous solution would have been to tell the last person in line, at some point, to tell others not to enter behind them as they would be the last order. But no. They make us all wait and shut us down at the window. Rude, greedy and foolish, IMHO. Will not waste my time the next time they are around.

I ordered the Al Capone, and it was very disappointing especially being overprice for $ 7.50. It was mostly whip cream and nothing else so it was a very bland crêpe. I wish I just went to the donut store.

Had the Carnitas crêpe and apple crêpe. The carnitas crêpe was amazing. The apple was fine but not sweet at all. Overall the food was on point.

My aunt hired someone to come out to my cousin’s 1st birthday party! We had 3 choices: Southwestern, Banana Foster, and HazelBerryAna? crêpe. I’m not a nutella fan so I tried the other two! What I got: Southwestern Crêpe: it had chicken, onions, red bell pepper, cheese, and a chipotle sauce. These are the softer kind of crepes and not the hard crunchy ones. It was good, but could have used either more sauce or something to add more flavor to it. Banana Foster Crêpe: favorite crêpe out of the 3! It had mascarpone cheese, banana, cinnamon, a pile of whipped cream, and drizzled with caramel. It wasn’t overly sweet and I thought everything just worked really well together! Couldn’t really taste the cinnamon, but I’m not a fan of it anyway! Service: The guy that was making it had super good memory! He remembered everyone’s order in the right order too. But it didn’t look like he wanted to be there unless he was overwhelmed? Didn’t smile much or talk to anyone…

Had one crêpe(of two, as an option) at an event at Domaine Artefact on Valentine’s Day… a ham and brie. It tasted pretty good, considering it was a single slice of ham and four cubes of brie cheese. That wasn’t at all what I wanted… what I wanted was not on the menu… it was the Caprese: sliced roma tomato, seasoned chicken, mozzarella, and garlic pesto… seemed much more«Valentine-y» to me. The line of people waiting for food was probably in excess of 15 minutes, which frankly sucked. The line to get a second crêpe was equally long, so I opted for another glass of wine. Staff was moderately efficient, but pleasant. Please see the photo of my crêpe as plated. Would not especially get excited if I saw Crepes Bonaparte as an option for a catered event based upon this experience.

I forgot what I had but I ordered two crepes from the savory side of the menu. One was not flavorful at all. It was completely bland and flavorless with too much avocado packed inside. The other was some kind of chicken crêpe and that one was very zesty and delicious. I’m not a big fan of crepes to begin with but it was the only edible looking food truck on this particular Thursday so I figured might as well. The service was very professional and friendly. Not only that, they were also very efficient and timely with my order. They messed up a bit on my order with my name and everything but made a quick fix of that and my food still arrived in no time. I was very impressed with the professionalism. I just wish the food was a bit more flavorful. Its a good food truck in my opinion. Its the absolute most cleanest food truck I’ve ever seen. Overall, with good decent food and a great great service and attitude I actually like this food truck a lot. However, I’m not a big crepes fan as previous stated so my chances of eating here again are slim to none… though I might give their dessert crepes a try.

I was excited to try the savory crepes. After hearing them describe the Southwestern Crêpe, a co worker and I both ordered it. I added avocado which was a small upcharge. The two workers started the chicken and veggies on one platter and then poured out two crepes on the other two platters. Platters being the crêpe grills, lol. The guy worked on one, the girl in the other. Service was quick and efficient. When they called my name, I received one cooked to perfection and one noticably darker, almost burnt. I mentioned the fact to the gentleman handing out my order but he didn’t even respond. Well. This is a case where you can judge a book by its cover. The crêpe was bad. The filling was bland. I’m afraid I confused them by adding avocado. Meanwhile my co workers crêpe was spot on. Light fluffy crêpe, spicy southwestern filling. She shared half of hers as I fed mine to the trash. I wanted to give it a two… Of I didn’t have half of hers, I would have. Very disappointed that two crepes, made side by side were so different. There is potential but execution is the key missing ingredient here. I will update this review if I ever try again. P. s. Unilocal should have an option to check into food trucks as they move constantly.

Disappointed, took almost 30mins for my crêpe to be made and I ended up tossing it. My son refuse to eat it and I unwrapped it to see it was charred inside.

This is a food review only because I got the Southwestern Crêpe for $ 7.75 from their food truck where service is not key in my opinion. Overall: The flavor was amazing. They didn’t skimp on the cheese and the ingredients complemented each other very well. It had a mild spice and appropriate amount of moisture. The bell peppers were cut a little too large for cutting with a plastic knife in a small food tray. The crêpe: dry and bland. For being their cornerstone part of this food, I’m extremely underwhelmed. It didn’t have any flavor. In fact their dish would’ve been better without the crêpe. Perhaps their dessert crepes are different. I’d buy from them again, but I wouldn’t go out of my way.

So three words: BOMB. ASS. FOOD. So this food truck came by CSULA and it was really good :) Ordered a lemon and sugar crêpe with strawberries added in, and my friend ordered the Le Classique and it was so bomb! Kinda pricy but good for two :) I wish they could comeback to campus

I tried lots of crepes since I moved to OC last year. Food truck crepes is my first. I would have to say their southwestern is pretty good. Their strawberry/banana nutella crêpe was the same as any other places. Free ice cream for checking in earned an extra star because sweet crepes without the ice cream just doesn’t taste the same ^0^ One thing is that they could have made it thinner; it was a little thicker than I expected/wanted.

Crêpe B. was at my school and I was craving for a dessert so I decided to try one of their crepes. The crêpe I chose was a crêpe with nutella, chocolate drizzle and powdered sugar(5.50). I decided to go for something simple since you can’t go wrong with nutella… right? I asked if I could get whipped cream and the person who was helping me said yes; but it would cost $ 1(wtf?! $ 1 for whipped cream???) ANYWAY — I then asked if I could substitute the chocolate drizzle for the whipped cream instead and he said YES. When telling me the price… it came out to 6.50. I thought it was okay to substitute? I proceeded to ask… «I still get charged $ 1 for substitution?» YEPPPPP! Extra 100 cents for substitution. Whatever, I’ll pay — even if the guy helping me was not personable whatsoever. This better be one good freaking crêpe for 6.50. Needless to say… I ate a good 20% and had to toss the rest away. Why? My whipped cream melted fast, 80⁄20 nutella to crêpe ratio. I was extremely disappointed. Will not recommend or try again. 1 star for the french music they had in the background.

I love crepes and am really particular about them so the fact I have this food truck 5 stars says a lot. The dessert crepes come in pretty traditional flavors: bananas foster, berries, banana and Nutella and even cinnamon, butter and Nutella. You can add a couple dollops of French vanilla ice cream on top which I HIGHLY recommend. The whipped cream taste very fresh and the crepes themselves aren’t rubbery. All in all, For the price, these crepes are way up there for me!

Check in for a free scoop of ice cream! I’ve only tried the dessert crepes and always leave satisfied. The batter is more on the wet and doughy side, they’re not thin and crispy like hand held crepes. Service was friendly and I only had to wait for five minutes which is pretty fast considering the crepes are made to order. The hazelberryana is my favorite but it’s not for people who don’t have a sweet tooth.

I’ve been to this food truck twice on Sundays at the Orange County great park farmers market. I get the dessert crêpe with strawberry, banana, and Nutella. If you check in on Unilocal you get a free scope of ice cream. The ice cream with the crêpe takes it to a whole new level. The crêpe is really well cooked and not too thick. $ 7 for a meal. Not bad.

I’ve never met a sweet crêpe that I didn’t love. I had the $ 1.50 nutella crêpe special because it was national nutella day. woohoo! So yummy with a scoop of ice cream. My phone wouldn’t let me check-in, it kept saying I was too far. I always have this problem on my phone when trying to check into a food truck. There is a check-in special(free scoop of ice cream) so I was getting kind of bummed, but she let me have it when i showed her my phone. I hope I can try savory crepes as well the next time I see them!

Mediocre is never quite enough If you’re near flawless, then you’ll win my love Don’t forget to win first place Don’t forget to keep that smile on your face Be a good truck Try a little harder You’ve got to measure up And make me prouder How long before you screw it up How many times do I have to tell you don’t burn the grub With all the money I gave to you The least you can do is be decent Be a good truck You’ve gotta try a little harder That crape simply wasn’t good enough To make Unilocal proud I won’t visit with you again I’ll make better lunch choices in the end If you’re the best, then maybe so am I Compared to this restaurant compared to that truck I’m doing this for your own damn good You’ll make up for what you blew What’s the problem, why are you crying Be a good truck Push a little farther now That wasn’t good enough To make me happy l love you just the way you are If you’re near perfect Alanis Morissette could not said expressed my feeling about this truck better. UBERDISAPPOINTED! Today is a sad day.

Crepes Bonaparte! Because we needed a Crepes Food Truck! Crepes Bonaparte has been on the gourmet Food Truck scene seemingly since its inception and has been a darling of the media and local food scene just as long. At the time the idea was novel, Savory and Sweet Crepes offered on wheels. The Food Network gave the truck an incredible hype kick start(think The Lime Truck) and they have done quite well ever since, regardless of polar opposite opinions from everyone I know, so I tried them myself. As a savory item I selected the King Brie. A straight forward Crêpe with melted brie, sliced turkey, apples, slices of and bacon. The portions are rather small and if you are hungry you could easily be forgiven for ordering two. Flavor-wise the offering was about the sum of its ingredients and nothing more. I suppose the Crêpe was lighter than say Bread, but there was no pop or wow factor. Even the flavor of the Brie tasted subdued here, I doubt I would order this again. For sweet, I shared the renouned Nutella Crêpe. Both chocolate and hazelnut Nutella is spread over the face of the Crepes and then topped with chocolate syrup. This is a messy little number and I would advise against ordering it in business clothing or anything white! As far as a dessert goes, this is a certain winner for the Nutella lover. It is also a calorie bomb but you signed up for that. Sweet to the point of cloying for me, I had two bites and called that my Crepes Bonaparte experience for this lifetime. Crepes Bonaparte isn’t terrible and I could see why they attract loyal followers, it just wasn’t my thing.
