Very, very surprised how good this place was. We came here after we visited the Richard Nixon Library. The owner was there to greet us. He was so nice. We ordered the Tom Kah Guy which was amazing!!! Really one of the best ones that I’ve had outside of Thailand itself. We also ordered the sweet and sour chicken dish which was also amazing. Everything tastes fresh and was fresh. We then ordered Pad Thai as its the last traditional dish to try. I devoured it in seconds as it was still hot. I would come back again when I come back to see the Richard Nixon Library. Next time I’ll have to try the dessert here as well as the yellow curry dish.

Tom ka Gai soup so much flavor!!! So good. I could eat that every day! We got chicken Thai sweet and sour it was delicious! The chicken to the pineapple to the peppers all perfectly cooked! It was so good we ordered a pad Thai to go for later and of course opened it to try while hot and it was not a let down!!! It also was so freaking tasty!!! I highly recommend this place! Prices are great, atmosphere pleasant, and service top knotch! Way to go!

One of the best Thai restaurants. Not only were their food tasty and flavorful, but they provided excellent customer service. We came in 45 minutes before closing.(I hate doing this because I hate making employees work longer hours than expected.) They didn’t rush us whatsoever and even turned on the tv for us when we asked. Asian restaurants tend to be on the low end of customer service. Bangkok Spice, on the other hand, excel.

This review is only for curry. I’ve been to about 30 different Thai restaurants simply for Thai curry. I ordered the red curry to go with chicken at this place. The chicken was dry, over cooked and full of cartilage and the curry broth was watery. It lacked flavor and depth. Plus they don’t include rice with the curry. Ridiculous. I won’t go back.

This is a great little gem. I wish that I knew about this restaurant when I first moved to the area. What This restaurant lacks in space is more than made up for in their use of high quality ingredients. They give ample amounts of meat and vegetables in their dishes and the food is not overly salted like food from so many other«Thai» restaurants. I find this place to be very authentic and to be very polite and accomodating. I was particularly impressed with the rich flavor of the green, and red curries, and, yes, even the Pad Thai is authenticly prepared.

Very bad Service!!! Never going to eat there again!!! They charge me twice, and giving me hard time until I get my money back, it’s already one week!!!

This is an excellent neighborhood restaurant. Though our first visit, the food is good quality and the prices very affordable to eat here multiple days a week. We enjoyed the tom yum gai and pad Thai. Both were enjoyed to extinction. Then dessert! If you have not had mango with sticky rice… oh my! Have it here. It is delicious. Had it at the Playground 2.0 a year ago and it became a favorite. Service was fast and friendly and not over bearing. The only thing that keeps it from five stars is the shopping center itself which is tired and gives this fine place a hole in the wall feel. The restaurant inside is clean and comfortable. We’ll be back often.

This place was just OK for me. The people working there were nice. Pad Thai was good. Cashew chicken was more onion than anything else. Thai tea was way too sweet… Maybe some people like it that way.

Bangkok Spice is under rated. Tucked away in the small lot with a Stater Bros and miscellaneous mom and pop stores, one wouldn’t think much of this discretely located restaurant. Living in Orange sometimes has its minor downfalls. Specifically in not being able to find any decent Asian food without having to drive to Westminster/Garden Grove area. I know guys, I get lazy sometimes and just want something quick and easy! To my surprise, Bangkok Spice, was a far better contender of Thai food than any other Thai place I’ve been to in this area. Alas! Thai food that has real flavor and some authenticity! The pad thai and beef pad see ew were good and I would definitely come back for more here. Flavors and noodle texture(not soggy and flavorless) were on point. Tom Yum was to die forrrrr. There’s something about their soup that made the meal extra satisfying. I also loved their angel wings as well and would highly recommend to start off with this appie! Will definitely be returning next time there is a Thai craving!

Worst Pad Thai and Pad See Ew ever had. The soup we ordered was overly sweet. Service was pretty bad and nobody stopped by when we were eating.

Yellow curry had good flavor. However, it was supposed to come with carrots but only had the potato and onion and the sauce had too much grease/oil pooled on top around the edges. Mongolian beef was missing the mushrooms and the beef was chewy instead of tender which was disappointing. Be prepared to pay for rice separately since everything is a la carte here unlike other Thai restaurants I’ve frequented. Friendly staff but please either cook to the menu or change the menu to reflect the ingredients used in each dish because it is disappointing to order food based on the menu ingredients and then get home to discover ingredients are missing from each dish. Overall I would not drive out of my way to eat here again when we have a better quality Thai restaurant nearby. However if you are near this location and hungry it will satisfy your hunger.

Love this place! Love the food. The fried rice is to die for! And the mango with sticky rice is simple awesome! The staff are friendly and super polite. I sometimes order for carry out and my order is ready within 10 minutes. It’s like a nice, quaint restaurant that makes you feel at home from the moment you step in. If you want Thai food, this place is thebombdotcom!

Good lunch spot. I had the lunch special which includes salad, appetizer in addition to the entrée. I would rather order the full sized meal next time. The portion was much smaller for the lunch special. When I placed the order, the person did warn me that it was going to be smaller, but I didn’t realize it was going to be that much smaller. Same price for regular and lunch special if you get meat($ 8.75). Quality of food was good. Thai iced tea is cheap: $ 2.50 and tastes really good! Excellent customer service. They were super nice, friendly, and helpful. Like I said, I was warned that the entrée portion would be smaller and it was my poor choice as I was tempted with the appetizer and salad! Their level 4 out of 5 was also not very spicy. I will try 5 out of 5 next time. I will give them another try.

I’ve came here a handful of times because it is close to my boyfriend’s house and sometimes convenience trumps quality. Its a Thai restaurant, family-owned, and located in the plaza on Orangethorpe. It can be a hit or miss. I’ve had my good experiences here and some not so good experiences here. Must haves: –Thai Iced Tea: The thai iced tea here is delicious. Not overfilled with ice like every other thai restaurant. Perfect combination of tea and creamer. –Hawaiian Fried Rice: This plate is delicious. Remember that it does come with raisins and cashews(two items which do not fall under the favorites of many people) so ask them to leave it out if you are not a big fan. They also serve this with huge chunks of pineapples! –Tom Kha Gai: This coconut milk based soup is delicious! If you’re calling to order to go make sure you specify which size you want(bowl or hot pot). If you don’t they will automatically charge you for the bigger size since they make twice the profit! –Tom Yum Kai: This sweet and sour soup is not for everyone since it is made of lemongrass and kafir leaves. It was very sour for my boyfriend so luckily I got to have it all to myself :) –Pad Thai: Perfect pad thai. They separate the nuts, carrots, and purple cabbage on the side for you to mix in in your take out orders –Pad See Ew: Perfect noodles and chicken. Very simple but delicious dish. Those are all the recommendations that I have for you all at this time. Very friendly group of people that always try to get you to order another dish when you are ordering.

Waitress seem a little hardsales on their food. We order one appetizer, one veggie dish and two entrée which is pretty a lot for the lunch so I wanted to cancel one but she kept saying«that’s our expertise you must try» and do not willing to reduced the dish. In the end we had crispy calamari, fried rice and green curry with bowl of rice but food was a far from«expertise». Overall my experience of this place is a 2 and half stars but I give them 3 because they don’t have 2.5 starts.

A mom and pop Thai restaurant located inside a business plaza. It’s small and quite cozy. Not too fond of the interior, but the food matters most to me. I haven’t dined in but I recently picked up some food to go. They deliver, but I just felt like driving lol. I had –ORANGECHICKEN $ 8. I was craving it so bad. Big portion with big strips of chicken. I really appreciate the light and crispy texture and light coating of the orange plum sauce. It wasn’t too sweet. It was delightful! –HOUSEFRIEDRICE with BEEF $ 10– Fried rice with vegetables, eggs and my choice of meat which was beef. It was very tasty, but a bit too greasy for my liking. It could also use some more vegetables However, the portion was big and the texture of the beef was soft and tender. Service I received was good. The man who took my order was very nice and polite. They accept visa as long as it’s $ 10 and up. Will definitely come back again and try their curries and noodles!

We ordered the crispy calamari and Hawaiian fried rice without raisins. The crispy calamari was tasty but we had hoped for less breading and chunkier calamari. The Hawaiian fried rice had curry seasoning and overall, it was good. The restaurant is clean and quiet. Service was very good.
