It’s a casual dining. Food was great. Our server was absolutely awesome! Because we ordered a lot last night they completely gave my children dinner for free. We didn’t expected this but we were treated like with royalty. The ambiance was really good. I’d like to go back here again and check in at the Double Tree hotel.

Tucked away in the left corner of the Doubletree Suites lobby is Agio. It was slow with traffic and the lights were dim, which is just what we needed after a full and exhausting day at Disneyland. Although their music taste was interesting, they still managed to provide a relaxing atmosphere with a friendly and attentive staff. I was craving baby back ribs, and glad I didn’t opt for the usual chain restaurant deal. This was the best plate that we had ordered, amongst the chicken wings appetizer and veggie pasta. The ribs were cooked to perfection, with flavor that was locked into the meat(unlike those slapped on sauces). The staff was most importantly very kind, which will keep this restaurant top of mind when I come back to Anaheim.

This is where I dine when attending concerts hosted by the NAM convention. If you are on a schedule like we are on that night, request outside seats and you will get a table immediately. It’s not bad, really, as there are plenty of heaters. To speed things up even more, do the buffet, it is delicious. I especially liked the salmon, and the short ribs. On one occasion I had small filets. All really good. Try the pan roasted veggies. All the desserts are nice but my favorite is this small cup of orange chocolate and other layered orange flavor bursting ingredients. Would be five stars except the price of $ 35 for buffet seems a bit high, but for the convenience it is worth it. The waitstaff including the hostesses, are all very friendly and helpful. I liked that my coffee cup was well maintained.

Terrific place, servers with excellent service. They have buffet or you can just order for breakfast. Have not had lunch or dinner there yet, but so far great.

We would have had dinner in the dining room but the lighting is so bright we felt like we were in dennys. Chose to eat in the bar, great service, great food.

Clean, spacious but not a lot else going for it. Overpriced as all hotel restaurants are. Rather limited menu and similarly bland food. Avoid the crab cakes, cheese sandwich & burger. Kids supposed to eat free– be sure to ask or they charge you.

I’ve eaten here twice so far during my stay and plan to go back tonight. The food is delicious but a bit pricey. I got the vegetable pasta dish the first night and it was amazing. I got the ribeye last night which was pretty good but very expensive. Probably wouldn’t get it again with the steak house right next door and all. The staff is friendly and there’s free bread always a plus in my book. I highly recommend the restaurant if you’re staying here. Above all else stay away from the Denny’s across the street.

Hotel restaurant offering mostly Italian fare, this review is only based on the breakfast. The restaurant itself is nice, low lighting and dark colors. It’s in the lobby of the Doubletree Suites Anaheim and fits the hotel well. My friend and I had breakfast one morning on the way to our convention and enjoyed the food. He opted for the buffet, which was available at a good price. I was less hungry, so just tried the oatmeal. It was presented beautifully in a nice skewed bowl with an assortment of sides– cream, dried bananas, cranberries, brown sugar, etc. I enjoyed it. Service was very slow, despite not being busy and seemingly having plenty of people working. Cost was lower than expected. Good place to go after an exhausting day at a convention or amusement park.

Agio is a hidden treasure in a desert of chain restaurants near Disney on Harbor Boulevard. Creative menu, well-prepared food, and attentive but not intrusive service make for a wonderful dining experience. I had an appetizer of prosciutto, Italian farmer cheese, and tomatoes, garnished with pesto and balsamic vinegar. Superb! Second course was pork medallions wrapped in bacon, over garlic mashed potatoes with creamed corn and barbecue sauce. The pork was perfectly cooked, and the flavors were interesting, piquant, and complementary. A very fine cup of decaf express was a fine finish to the meal. Agio has date-worthy ambience, and my server was very attentive without being intrusive.

We ate here three days while attending a conference nearby. I wasn’t going to review because these hotel restaurants are all the same… not so! The buffet was well above average. They had all of the normal breakfast foods, an omelet station and a special each day. The specials included breakfast biscuits and on our last day, home made corned beef hash. The hash was awesome! What really makes this place stand out is the staff. Unlike most Hilton buffets which are notoriously understaffed, Agio had plenty of servers. They were attentive and very friendly. They really seem to enjoy their job. I’d definitely visit here again.

Terrible slow service, over cooked almost nonexistent squid calamari(just batter), and bad tasting entrée. It took them almost 10 minutes to come back with an extra bowl for the soup, which made the soup cold. I will never come back here again. Worst service and food I’ve had in a while. Definitely the worst I’ve had in Anaheim area. Be warned.

On our last day at Disney area we decided we didn’t really want to go anywhere and thought to check this place out. I had the worst chicken ever at this place, very gamy and no taste at all. They claim kids eat free but in reality they inflate all their adult meals to cover the cost. We also waited for our server and food for a very long time and we had to get up to go ask for the check, when we went to look at the front the server was flirting with the host. The sad part is only 3 tables were busy at the time.

I can’t remember EVER being blown away by hotel food. And believe me I’ve had loads of practice. My dinner was awesome. I’d drive here for the food even if I wasn’t staying in this hotel. Really excellent. Compliments to the chef.

We had several meals here as it was conveniently located in the hotel where we were staying for the labor day weekend. Dinner the first night was delicious. I ordered the salmon & hubby ordered the bacon wrapped pork medallions with mashed potatoes. The menu was a little pricey for a family of 5 but the costs were offset by their kids eat free promotion(1 free kids meal w/the purchase of an adult entrée). We also ordered room service for lunch the second day of our stay and had the caesar salad, chicken alfredo pasta, the chicken caprese sandwich w/garlic fries, and the triple club sandwich w/fruit. We were pretty satisfied with everything we had. On our final day, we enjoyed a very nice & filling breakfast. They had a breakfast buffet bar which was well worth the price for all the variety of options that you got. You could even place an order for eggs made your way if you didn’t want the scrambled eggs from the buffet. Breakfast buffet included: * coffee, milk and a variety of fruit juices * pancakes, french toast & waffles * hash browns, bacon & sausage * scrambled eggs and chorizo & green onion egg scramble * a breakfast sandwich w/eggs, cheese and canadian bacon. * Fresh fruits — strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, pineapple, apples & bananas * oatmeal & a variety of toppings for the oatmeal. * A variety of pastries and breads too. Definitely a good place for families and good value when you can take advantage of the kids eat free promotion.

I stayed at this hotel for a number of days and was able to eat here quite a few nights… Chicken cacciatore, veal piccata, mashed potatoes, rosemary potatoes, prime rib… Everything was to die for! Their specialty drink list is great as well… I highly recommend switching up your drink order and trying one of these!

Good food and service. Salad was very fresh, French onion soup was great and the braised short rib Shepards pie was good. A nice benefit is the free parking I’d you stamp the ticket in the restaurant after attending the Anaheim Convention Center trade show.

I’ll get to the nitty gritty on this… I was Bar Hopping before I went to a Charity Ball next door and they made my favorite drink in the whole world… THERUSTYNAIL. I know this might not seem like much to most people, but here’s the lowdown on Bars… according to me. A lot of Bars simply don’t carry DRAMBUIE which is a main ingredient to make a RUSTYNAILS cocktail. Agio Ristorante does and because they do, I’m giving them 4 stars… ENOUGHSAID. Heck Yeah!!! I’m a Fan of this Place!!! (or at least of the Bar at Agio Restorante)

The Agio Ristorante is housed in the lobby level of the Doubletree Guest Suites in Anaheim. Having to crunch some numbers on my laptop for a work-related report I was too lazy to journey out into the hot, humid tourist areas so I stayed inside my hotel for lunch instead. Although the restaurant was fairly inactive during the lull between breakfast time and lunch time the large staff seemed to be in a zombie-like mode walking around doing very little of anything while I stood near the restaurant entrance waiting to be acknowledged and to get a table. Somebody finally noticed, and I was led to a table where I was seated next to a large window. The rays of the sun were shining brightly and the trajectory through the glass hit my laptop screen square on. So much for trying to get a little work done during my lunch. Since my mind was preoccupied by my work I didn’t notice the restaurant’s interior. That’s rare for a detail-oriented person such as myself. When I reached down to put my laptop back into my bag I did notice how dirty the finely packed carpet was. I shook my head in disbelief as to how a pricey hotel restaurant could just leave food particles sprinkled throughout the floor. While she moved in a snail-like manner my waitress was very nice in demeanor. She brought me ice water and a glass of soft drink as I had requested. I kept my order simple by going with a soup and salad selection. A basket of hot, toasted French bread arrived on my table accompanied by two rectangles of soft creamery butter accented by a single leaf of basil( ). The bread was very good being hot and crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. What kills a soup quicker than any ingredient? If you’re thinking salt you’re right on! The Chicken Minestrone( ) showed good promise with quality ingredients such as chunky zucchini, carrots, kidney beans and spinach leaves. The hearty tomato-based soup was cluttered with ripped away chunks of chicken breast meat and even topped off with a spoonful of pesto, but when the salt settled in not even my water nor my soft drink could wash away that salt taste that had caked onto my tongue. My Chinese Chicken Salad( ) was presented beautifully with a massive portion of garden fresh vegetables topped off with a tangy peanut sauce and a wig of crispy deep-fried rice noodles. The fresh lettuce, red cabbage, carrots, green and yellow bell peppers, snow peas and mandarin orange segments mixed well with the tangy dressing and the crunchy noodles but the cashew nuts sprinkled on top were a tad stale and the chicken meat was bland and tasteless. Whoever over-salted the broth should have left some of the salt for the chicken. The only plus during this visit was probably the fact that my waitress refilled my soft drink three and a half times. If I’m ever at this hotel again I’ve learned my lesson. Next time I leave the hotel for lunch! 2.5 stars!
