We have had Thai here, We have had Thai there. This place has some of the best food. Service has always been excellent. We have been here three or four times now. Enough said. Yeah, it could use a remodel but that has nothing to do with food quality.

We did not have as great of an experience as others apparently. We ordered the panang curry($ 12) with spicy seafood($ 16). We went in at 2pm for a weekday lunch and were the only ones there(small place). The pros: –the spice flavor was there. Good, typical thai food spice-the kind that gives the distinct flavor that you crave. –the server was polite enough. Not overly friendly, but quiet and fairly reserved. But certainly not rude or unwelcoming. The cons: –the woman in the back cooking the food was very clearly sick with a gross, frequent productive sounding COUGH. I wanted to leave but by the time we realized it was coming from the kitchen, we had already been given waters and it just felt rude to walk out. Fingers crossed that we don’t get sick. –there was a HAIR in the curry. Nuf said. –the place smelt awful. There are only 2 things I can really compare it to: a wet dog smell and/or a dirty wet carpet. –the seafood was definitely not fresh and was overlooked and rubbery(blech!). Shrimp, mussels, squid, scallops, etc — all overcooked. So sad and disappointing. –this is more of a nuisance, not necessarily a critique but the veggies(carrots, green beans, broccoli) were sliced huge-too big for one bite. We are from LA and thai food is my favorite but I think there are some pretty basic flaws in this restaraunt.

I am a Thai Connoisseur and the reports drew me here because of the discussions about fresh vegetables. We were extremely pleased. The flavors were very distinct and the portions generous. And those vegetables were so fresh! We definitely will be back to try other dishes(we had Rad Na and Green Curry and Crab Wontons). Can’t wait. And the service was top notch. Visited our table 5 times to see if all was well. Prices were good too.

I like how many veggies are in the dishes– some thai restaurants are just noodles and meat, but here there are lots of fresh, crisp vegetables too.

Came in to have lunch and the male ‘waiter’ was so rude that we ended up leaving after we’d ordered… He didn’t bother treating us well… We had no reason to stay.

Hands down best thai food with the right amount of spice. Had the calamari and it was amazing ! Portions were perfect and very homemade. quick walk from the hotel.

Surprisingly tasty with good spice. I’ve driven past this place for years and never given it a second thought, but recently I had time to stop in for lunch. Along with chicken phad thai I ordered a yum thai salad with beef. Both were excellent but didn’t have quite the flavor complexity I have had in other restaurants. However the portions are large and at around $ 10 a dish they are quite reasonably priced. The best aspect was the quick service(my dishes arrived in under 15 min) and especially the heat. It is difficult to find Thai that holds true to its spice ranking and this is one that goes farther than most. The 4* here was perfect, but for those who are not comfortable with spice it seems that they run slightly hotter than other places. Overall, definitely one of the better local Thai places.

The food is REALLY good. some of the best Thai i’ve had in the U.S. Tom Yum is amazing. Don’t let the décor or the potentially slow service turn you off. The service can be pretty slow, especially when they are doing a lot of takeout, but it is worth the wait.

Stopped here with my family on the way back from Orcas Island on out way home to Tacoma. The food was amazing! Honestly the best Thai I’ve had in awhile, and I eat it often. The spice scale is no joke! I ordered a 3 star on my Kee Mao chicken and it was on the edge of my tolerable/enjoyment level. But I had asked ahead of time and was«warned». The Rama dishes were both awesome, filled with a ton of veggies and just the right amount of peanut sauce. I will definitely get food here again next time we take the ferry from Anacortes! Small restaurant, nothing fancy. Standard«thai» decorations and an older Prince tennis racket mounted on the wall :-)

OK, but not great Thai food in a worn but clean venue. Contrary to the Unilocal listing, they do not offer alcohol.

I walked in nearly 10 mins after they closed. The guy at the front desk still took my order so long as it was to go. Very nice people and the food was great! My wife’s chicken pad Thai was a bit spicy(she ordered 2 out of 5 stars) but nothing she couldn’t handle. Will be back for sure our next trip to Anacortes

So yummy! Everything tastes wonderful and was very quickly served. We had two appetizers and four entrees for four people, but could have only ordered two entrees and still have left full. My only criticism would be that when I ordered my curry a bit more spicy, it seems they just added a good deal of red pepper flakes on top and that was it, still good though.

Passed through and came in for lunch. Ordered seafood tum yum and garlic chicken. The tum yum soup is fresh creamy and full of flavorers. Small friendly setting.

This is a VERY casual resturant. small, with 5 – 6 tables. Take out or eat in. Bring your own wine! The Larb Gai is fabulous, and everything we have tried is very good. Staff friendly and service is casual and friendly, food comes pretty quickly. Prices are very reasonable! There is outside tables for summer, but they are a bit rustic.

I saw some reviews on here that were WAY lacking. My only guess could be that they had been from the competition across town, or someone had gotten this placed mixed up with another Thai Joint. This place serves top notch food, the service is fast and friendly, and as far as they’re concerned you’re like family. I come here 1 – 2 times a week, but if I had a bigger budget, that would be a higher rate.

It didn’t feel like a restaurant when we walked in. I’m guessing it used to be someone’s house. You could tell by decorations and the wall paint that it is owned and run by a family. It felt more authentic. There was only one option for the lunch special. I ordered the lunch special, green curry with a side of pad Thai and rice. My friend ordered See Ew. They were both very good. I ordered 4 stars spice level. I was disappointed that it meant just bunch of red dried chilli peppers on top of the curry. I tried to scrape it off. But the green curry, pad Thai, and noodle dishes were all very good. Veggies tasted very fresh. Service was quick. I will definitely go there again if I am in Anacortes.

Mmmm, who knew that there was Thai this good in Anacortes? Haha, I’m from Seattle so I am surrounded by Thai food, plus I have family that cooks authentic Thai food(as they were from there). I pulled in for a quick bite, and I was surprised that nobody was there. Everything from the décor to the menu to table cloths are Thai. Very homey-feeling and i loved it! :) I think they might be Cambodian-Thai’s because when I heard them speak, it didn’t sound like Thai. They could be Lao or Isaan too. However, that didn’t matter because the food was impeccable! I ordered the standard Pad Kee Mao(that’s how I taste to see if the restaurant is good or not). It was so quickly made, I was very impressed. It was lunch, so it came with rice. The Kee Mao is normally not as red as mine was, so I was scared. However, it was so delicious when I ate it. It was probably one of the best Kee Mao’s I’ve ever had. So tender of the beef meet, and the rice noodles were cooked perfectly. I loved the bamboo in it, as well as the green beans. I was so stuffed after eating. I got my check quickly, with them checking in on me frequently of course. They are family operated and super sweet. The service was great, it was easy to find parking, and they were fast. Oh, and I ordered the 2 star, and I loved how I could still taste the peppers. My total was basically $ 10. I thought that was kinda pricey, so I ranked it a 4 star. If it was cheaper, it’d be perfection baby!
