Went here recently for lunch. They recently renovated and it looks nice. They have new booths which offer more seating and spread things out so you’re no longer so close together. Another new addition is their full liquor license! They now serve bloody mary’s and mimosas with brunch! The menu has your regular staples like burgers and sandwiches but they also offer some unique dishes. Each option sounds great making selecting a dish difficult. They also have soup specials. I ordered the Monte Cristo which is made with croissant French toast filled with Swiss and prosciutto… VERYGOOD. The service was great as everyone was friendly. The coffee was also good and kept refilled. We will definitely be back.

Wish I had known about this place sooner… not a big place and it seemed pretty popular when I was there on a Friday late morning, so I can imagine there might be a wait on the weekends. Run by a most accommodating and sociable owner, this eatery has a very eclectic and«different» menu… from cannoli stuffed waffles(they are amazing!) to delectable savory dishes. A great presentation always serves to ‘whet the appetite’ and their presentations certainly do here… and then you are equally rewarded by delicious, finely prepared food. Will definitely go back again and try another one of their dishes… it is located in downtown Amityville amongst other quaint businesses that offer a unique eating and shopping experience. Over-all, a wonderful and most pleasant dining experience… great food, great variety and a welcoming atmosphere… what more could you want?

Honestly, I’m surprised how this place doesn’t have only five star reviews. Everything was perfect. Benediction eggs, stuffed French toast, a fresh carafe of orange juice, the list goes on and on. Try this place out!

Recently re-opened with new renovations. We walked in and it seriously looked like a different place. Personally, I am not a fan of the new booths, they seem to be a bit of a charm-sucker, however, they add a ton more seating, so you no longer have to have breakfast with strangers. They now have a full liquor license and stay open for dinner. They have bloody mary’s and mimosas for breakfast but do not even advertise it anywhere on the menu. I finally had some lunch here, ordered the veggie burger upon confirming there were no peppers in the burger. The burger did have peppers, I did not send it back but did notify the staff, so they would not make that mistake again. The peppers did not ruin the burger for me, in fact, it was the best veggie burger I have ever had, the sweet potato fries were solid and the honey mustard was the best I’ve had as well. The bill came and they deducted 10 bucks for the mistake. The manager even came over and apologized. They are trying hard to revamp this place, there are some kinks to still work out, as with all new changes. If you have enough money in your wallet, check it out.

I thought this place had a renovation??? I don’t think they got one because they need an update in furniture. Really old looking booths. Prices are above $ 10 a plate. Everything sounded amazing but I had to get the special of pumpkin and apple crumb pancakes even though I’m not a pancake person. They were pretty good. My iced coffee was mostly ice and was $ 3 a glass. Also no free refills on that. They also make flavored lattes. Service was friendly.

Just went here to have lunch. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. Received it and the chicken was very chewy/rubbery. I quietly told the server, said it wasn’t a big deal but wanted to send it back and that I didn’t want a replacement order. The manager then comes out of the back and told me it’s impossible that the chicken was undercooked because they don’t even make it at the restaurant, it’s brought in from a vendor every morning. I don’t know why he would dig himself an even deeper hole by stating that the chicken is not made but only reheated in the restaurant. Leads me to believe that the chicken was rubbery because it was microwaved. I would have come back to try this place again another time if not for the confrontation from the manager. The further explanation was not only rude and unwarranted but further agitated the situation.

Love this place. Such a great find. Savory and sweet breakfasts and undeniably great sandwiches and burgers. Can’t wait to try the Thursday night prime rib!

Great food, great atmosphere, but if you like to have a cup of coffee and orange juice with your breakfast, then you’re not getting out of here without spending at least 25 bucks for breakfast, including tax and tip. And so I only come here a couple of times per year… Now if they had a ham, egg and cheese sandwich on the menu for under 6 or 7 bucks, I’d be here every month at least…(along with a lot of other people!)

Excellent Dinner — Cannot say more on how good my experience was at Park Ave Grill! Kobe Burger and Prime Rib was cooked just right. Shared the Spinach and Brie Salad which was amazing and recommend as a not to be missed.

Who: Family of 5 When: Sunday at 11:00am. Be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes. It’s a popular breakfast/brunch place. Atmosphere: Great place for a date or family breakfast. The décor gives a quaint small-town feel. Staff: Very friendly and accommodating Food: I’ve been here several times and the food is always consistently fantastic. They have gluten free and organic options. The fresh squeezed orange juice is worth the upgrade. I am a personal fan of their gluten free French toast stack; something even a gluten-lover can enjoy.

OMG… wonderful find… we are new to the neighborhood and just walked into this restaurant… Small country feel with the taste of gourmet home cooking. The service and food were excellent and the experience was pleasant. Can’t wait to go back.

Double the Awesomeness now that they serve dinner. My GF and I initially found Park Ave Grill when searching for a good brunch spot. Well we found a GREAT brunch spot and it’s became our«regular» spot. But now that they’ve started doing dinner as well, it’s double the enjoyment. The food is always top notch. Both the menu and specials alike. In fact, always keep an eye out on the specials chalkboard because there are some truly exceptional options at times that can go quick. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable and the prices are very affordable. So if you don’t know about Park Avenue Grill, take a trip out to Amityville, walk the downtown area and enjoy a fantastic meal(brunch, lunch or dinner) at the Park Avenue Grill. You’ll become a regular too.

Atmosphere– small country feel. Very comfy, good counter space, and friendly staff. Food– LOVE. Organic and gluten-free options. Unique baked egg and egg Benedict options. The fresh-squeezed oj is a must. You pay a little bit more, but the quality is worth it. Sometimes the service can be slow, but usually because they are always busy. Good desserts to go. New– will be serving dinner soon!

What an unwelcoming experience for a stranger to Amityville. Initially my bfast of coffee & baked eggs were undercooked and coffee not hot. During my initial order I asked for the egg white to be well done. When it was runny I asked it to be redone. It came back terribly overcooked by a microwave that killed the prosciutto. –but any thoughtful chef would know better than to microwave a plate with prosciutto– I’ve had mediocre food before so I just kept eating. When done I asked if they could call me a cab and much to my surprise I was told«they can only use their phone for business» This I think came from management as the waitstaff was pleasant, attentive, and engaging. Wow. A $ 20 egg bfast and a cab request denied. What’s that about. I’m wondering if the overpricing was intended to keep«some people» away. And when that didn’t work a little uncooperation would seal the deal. I though I found a quaint bfast place to visit while here boating in Long Island… NOT. I’m writing this as I wait for mystery taxi I found online — no input from ppl who work hear. Stay away if u r not a wasp.

One of our favorites every time we are bank in town. Yesterday I had the ricotta blueberry pancakes and today was Sicilian baked eggs. Both are great but the eggs were the best breakfast I ever had. It is a little slow service because of the size but great atmosphere. My wife loves this place.

This was a nice surprise. We went for the specials today. Pulled pork Benedict and Lamb gyro. You can taste how everything is fresh. Nice size portions Pork and lamb are to die for. Intimate seating and would imagine it fills up quick. Staff are really nice and accommodating. They make you feel like you’ve been coming here for ever. Very refreshing. We booked marked this to come again and will definitely recommend to friends and family

Went for breakfast on a weekend with the fam. Must have been good timing because although the place is small & busy a booth was available. Not your run of the mill breakfast, items are a little special, and a little bit more expensive then a quick simple breakfast. We tried their lattes, coffee, baked eggs, pancakes & one lunch item. We would go back when we’re in the mood for something different & don’t mind spending a little more. Good place to bring out of towners for a casual but interesting breakfast.

Me and my sister popped in on the first Friday of the New Year after Brownstones had a 45 minute wait. I would have preferred to go to Cornucopia’s Noshery but my PITA sis is stubborn and insisted on this place(love ya sis, sorry). Their menu is innovate. It’s not the normal, boring bacon and eggs and it isn’t too froo froo either. It is a little pricey though. They give large portions but their presentation could be cleaner. I paid $ 38 for two coffees, Tuscan something eggs and Alaskan Salmon Poached eggs. I didn’t have to get something that was $ 15.95 but alas I have expensive taste and really wanted the Alaskan Salmon thing. The waitresses were really nice but service was slow. It’s a nice place to eat but for the price, I’d rather go elsewhere. Ouch, my wallet this is how all my boyfriends must feel. That’s all I thought of after leaving that day.

Park Avenue(many years ago the Lyceum/and Rebecca’s) is nearby therefore an alternative to Cornucopia just down the street. when crowds roll in on weekends etc. Was it as good? Atmosphere more relaxed and comfortable. cute, adorable little place. Breakfast? 3 ½ stars for fresh OJ, love that, french toast, real maple syrup etc all good. «Belgian Waffle» seemed a soft flat mushy gritty pancake mix used. not really a waffle at all. Waitress wouldn’t answer or respond when we asked if they accidentally perhaps used gluten free or multigrain mix of some sort. as we saw on the blackboard similar offerings… before that they brought my mother pancakes not ordered. so we didn’t take the switch up, and while waiting, we shared my order. Fine with me. My mother wanted me to «go on Unilocal and give them zero stars». I found that a bit harsh for one elusive Belgian Waffle. LOL Think coffee, tea, eggs, french toast ok, possibly some good omelettes, kicked back atmosphere and one slightly abrupt waitress who knows the place well as has been there even when it was The Lyceum. Yes, I’d return as its adorable and sweet. if near there. but not a Cornucopia. More of a cute old fashioned café trying their hand at some newer things.
