When we went to their office to see their presentation, it looked like it had been madly put together only minutes before – scrawls, some indecipherable writing on large tissue-​like paper. Extremely unprofessional in my opinion. Later, when I questioned the cost of a simple built-​in, the woman said «You have to understand, this is not some do-​it-​yourself weekend project». The cost was about $ 3000 to build something akin to a medium sized bookcase. That’s when we wrote off the money we’d put up and just moved on. You’d be better served to hire a quality stand-​alone contractor who is not asking you to subsidize his NPR underwriting expenses and four-​color advertising in local publications.
