Fichte Endl & Elmer Eyecare

Today was finally the day that I got my LASIK surgery and I couldn’t be happier that I decided to make the investment and get it done! Obviously the only place I would trust to do the surgery is with Fichte Endl and Elmer Eyecare. Everyone from start to finish was wonderful and comforting. I went with the all laser lasik option, which is a little bit pricier than the other options they offer but I felt it was the safest and fastest recovering procedure. The surgery literally took a half hour from start to finish… they were quick, efficient, comforting and it was painless. My surgeon was Dr. Endl and he was fantastic. They are very thorough… from explaining post surgery procedures to talking me through everything while in the surgery room. If you’re feeling anxious they can offer you medication to calm your nerves but honestly, it’s not even necessary. They give you plenty of numbing drops during so you don’t even feel a thing.
They offer you 24 hour service if you have any questions or concerns post surgery. This is very comforting. Dr. Endl personally called me a couple of hours after to make sure I was feeling ok!
If you’re thinking about getting LASIK done I highly recommend going to Fichte Endl and Elmer. They have free open houses all of the time to educate yourself on the surgery and you also get to watch a live one to see how it works. You then have to schedule a two hour consultation to make sure you’re a good candidate for the procedure. (Hint: if you schedule your consultation at an open house, they take money off of your surgery!)
Overall, great experience from start to finish. They schedule you a one day post surgery check up, one week check up, and six week check up to make sure everything looks good. They even gave me complimentary champagne glasses to replace my old glasses (get it… lol) And if anyone is curious, it is 6 hours after my surgery and I am typing this and feel great! My eyes are a little blurry and sensitive but other than that I feel amazing!

I came here about 2 years ago and got PRK eye surgery, which is another laser eye surgery.
«Photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) is a procedure in which the surface of the cornea is reshaped using an excimer laser. This process removes only 5−10% of the thickness of the cornea for mild to moderate myopia — about the thickness of 1 to 3 human hairs» this is off of google just so you know what it is!
Anyway, I went to Dr. Endl for my surgery because my Dad had gone to him to get lasik and he had nothing but good things to say.
They were very thorough with the procedure and very helpful with everything. They made me feel comfortable with someone touching both of my eyeballs. Which, is not an easy feat.
Very weird surgery because you’re awake. SO many fluids were being flushed in and out of my eyes. Numbing drops, water, and a bunch of other crap I have no idea what it was. My mom and my friend Anna were watching on a big TV outside of the room, they put my eyeballs on the screen for them to watch so that was pretty awesome!
Afterwards, they gave me two champagne glasses as a thank you, they gave me all the gear I would need, some Ray Charles looking sunglasses because my eyes were STUPID dilated, and lots of other things.
It was a really quick surgery, maybe 10 minutes tops, but really weird. They made me feel comfortable though and talked to me the whole time which made it easier.
I would definitely recommend them! They also take payment plans I think.

Had glasses from first grade to my current age of 28. This was the best thing I’ve ever done and love waking up each morning being able to see!
Customer service was great and were quick in getting me scheduled (one week between the open house and my surgery). The QualSight LASIK procedure that I underwent took only twenty minutes total for both eyes. By the next morning (about 12 hours later), I could see clearly and was able to drive.
So happy to have gotten this elective surgery and cannot recommend it enough to my friends and family.

The dreamy Dr. Endl manages my opthalmic needs. This is a large, very busy, well-​run opthalmology practice with two locations (Niagara Falls Blvd. @ Creekside in Amherst, and a new Niagara Falls office opening next month at Packard/​Porter).
Terrific, friendly staff, lots of patient education. Everyone is very well trained & very competent. I have never felt rushed here.
Plenty of free parking.

The staff here is amazing! I’ve been going to this office for about 15yrs, even though I’ve lived outside of Buffalo for almost 8yrs. The care I receive here cannot be found elsewhere in the country, I’ve tried!
Both my parents & my sister have had their LASIK done here, all of my grandparents have had their cataracts done here too, every procedure has been smooth & successful. We wouldn’t trust our eyes to anyone else!

I received my LASIK correction by Dr Elmer one month ago. From answering questions over the phone, scheduling appointments, GREAT financing options, the very helpful open house, initial eval, surgical day and post ops — I have nothing but great things to say about my experience the whole way through. The staff and opthomologists here are very attentive to the needs of every patient from what I saw being in their office.
And my procedure? Flawless. I wish I would have done it years earlier, but seeing as I only recently moved to this area, I’m very happy I waited and had it done right by Dr Elmer.

There is no place better than Fichte Endl & Elmer Eyecare! I, myself, have had refractive surgery and lid surgery. My husband has recently had cataract surgery and all of our children have had lasik surgery. All with super results!!!
