Bentley’s Roast Beef

I forget about this place… You Know? It’s like you find a place… It’s good… And then for some reason because it’s surrounded by the blaze chain restaurants and you forget this Jem nestled in a tiny old house in the trees.
I’m not a roast beef guy… But I can tell you the rest of their fare is really good! And for not being a «Roast Beef» guy I can say this: Get the Bentley’s Steak Sub! Get the sauce on the side! And assault your taste buds with goodness…

Best roast beef around. Friendly staff, outdoor seating if you don’t mind being right on the road.

Best roast beef sandwich I’ve ever had. I can elaborate on the rest, but that’s the bottom line. Someone should tell Guy Fieri to bring his Diners, Drive-​Ins, and Dives TV show down here! It really was amazing, best in class for a local unique eatery. Fresh house made roatbeef with house made horse radish and all local grown ingredients; it’s just delicious.
The spot is a tiny little drive up with about a dozen tables, so good for quick sit down or take out (they have take out windows). It was clean, well kempt, and the staff was very friendly. Even on my first trip they talked me through their options, helping me to a delicious conclusion!
I read most of the reviews and they were nearly all outstanding, but to those who didn’t rate this joint at least a 4, they are crazy. This place is great, simply delicious, and spot on for what you look for when you stop down. For those that have read my reviews, i rarely hand out 5’s, and this one was easy. Delicious choice if your swinging through Nashua just looking for good eats.

Theee best. Giant Roast Beef please, with horseradish and Swiss cheese. Hold the Karl.

Killer food at a good price. The roast beef is usually my go to and it’s great. My wife loves the pastrami. Haven’t been able to try much else yet since we find ourselves always wanting our staple sandwiches since they are so good! The staff is always very nice and the restaurant itself is very clean.

After hearing from many people how delicious it was, we finally gave it a try with a few of our friends.
Let me start by saying, neither my boyfriend nor I like roast beef, and I’m not particularly into fried foods. We decided to split a value meal so we could try their fries and sandwich. We got a roast beef sandwich with chipotle mayo, provolone cheese and onions, and sweet potato fries as a side. The sandwich was AMAZING. The sweet potato fries were okay, but their regular fries are much much better. It was a bit pricey ($ 13) for a meal, but a good change from our usual «go to» places.
The only thing we didn’t like was that there were flies around inside the restaurant. It’s not exactly an upscale atmosphere and the doors to the outside were left open so it wasn’t repulsive by any means. Just not 5 star worthy.
But for not even liking roast beef and LOVING it there, I highly suggest it to anyone looking for a great sandwich.

Fantastic roast beef sandwich. Horseradish and spicy mustard were great! I will go back again and again and again!

I just moved back home from Texas, and one thing they don’t have, is roast beef /​seafood places.

So, I was happy to go here today for lunch. And it’s good. Just seems expensive to me.

It’s a super casual place. The kind of place you’d go to for lunch as a kid when you have a half-​day on Thursdays because that’s when the teachers had their school-​wide meetings.

There’s some seating inside, and a smattering of picnic tables out front. Some are in the shade, some aren’t. There’s a neat fountain out front, but you’re still sitting right near the busy street, so it’s a little hectic-​feeling.

They get pretty busy here, and there isn’t a lot of room up at the counter. I was early, so there was no rush. It took them awhile to make my order — a roast beef sandwich with cheese, sauce, mayo and fries, but it was good. They didn’t give me my drink, so I just grabbed a bottle from the fridge. It’s cramped up there to get your napkins and stuff, and they don’t sell chips, which I thought was odd.

The roast beef sandwich was good, it was just what I wanted. Big and messy. Almost worth another star, but, not quite.

It was on the expensive side — lunch ran me about 12 bucks. That’s kind of a lot!

I liked it, but I don’t think I’ll be a regular here. I shouldn’t be eating this stuff anyways!!!

Bentley’s Roast Beef never disappoints. Friendly service and great food. Usually get the super beef but the few times I’ve branched out the other menu items have been amazing as well. From the steak to the seafood dishes you won’t be disappointed.

I’ve continued to patronize Bentleys very regularly since my initial review and over the course of these years have never been disappointed. The owner and staff are all phenomenal. I’ve sampled items from every area of the menu: titular roast beef, chicken, seafood, and other sandiwches. My current fave are the Greek Fries, thick cut steak fries w/​oil, garlic and feta cheeese. Huge portion also, two jr. Roast beefs and an order of these are a great meal for 2. If you are in or around Amherst, NH, do yourself a favor and try Bentleys!

You want a good roast beef sandwich — this is the place! We were there today and service is great. By the way, same name but no relation!

good solid meal. Seafood dinner for the first night of Lent was not a disappointment. Called at 8:00, they had to check and see if there was enough scallops to make it (aka they have a good turn over). They did and fish was well cooked, oil was fresh, batter was light with a slight lemon flavor to it..

I go here on occasion for lunch. It’s awesome! I have only ever had the roast beef sandwich, and I would recommend it without reservations! Roast beef is freshly sliced for your sandwich and melts in your mouth. My one complaint is that they charge per topping. The price you pay for the sandwich is, let’s say $ 6.99, but that does not include ANY toppings. The cost per topping is not too much, I think $.25 per. I would highly recommend going here for the roast beef sandwich.

This place is amazing. Best steak and cheese I have ever had. Bentley (the owner) is the nicest guy in the world. A true American businessman.

I had the fried haddock and some fried clam strips. They were about as good and fresh of fried seafood as you could get. If you want any fried seafood that is in season, then I highly recommend this place.
There other good was good to, decent fries, decent onion rings. But it is the fresh seafood, fried to perfection that gives this place it’s 4 stars.
My rating system:
3 star = good food. Would eat at again, but wouldn’t travel far for (15 mins max)
4 star = really good. One of the best of its class locally. Worth a decent drive (30 minutes or so)
5 star = destination restaurant. One of the best in general. Worth a good drive (45 minutes plus)

I work for Amherst EMS as an EMT and Bently’s is one of our favorite places to go for lunch. It is always delicious and the staff is friendly and welcoming. The prices aren’t necessarily cheap but the food is good so it balances out. I would recommend, and have recommended this restaurant for friends.

Absolutely, the best roast beef I’ve ever had. I’ve been to many roast beef places over time and this is by far the best RB!
My only complaint is with the value meal. The small drink just isn’t enough and I don’t believe there are refills. So, that’s my biggest complaint. Not a huge one but still. The price of the VM is awesome though, so… there’s that.
We’ve moved about 30 minutes away and still I make my husband drive out here for the RB, it’s that good.
I can’t say I’ve tried anything else because every time I go I can’t not get the roast beef.
The staff is friendly enough. I think it depends on the day though. Once in awhile they seem abrupt.
This place is amazing if you’re looking for a great roast beef spot.

Went here for lunch. Had a great roast beef sandwich with all the condiments. The «dressings» for the sandwich were $ 0.75 for all of the of $ 0.15 each. It’s a real cost and this seems to be a family run place. It was great to see the owner interacting with his employees and seemed to be truly vested in the quality his business put out. My partner in crime had a chicken cesar salad which was large and that it disappeared quickly I took as a good sign! Check it out if you need a casual lunch.

Good roast beef… and good steak and cheese subs… what else could you want from the local sandwich shop? Well, Bentley’s delivers both of those… and, on top of that, they have good french fries and onion rings. The counter service is always friendly, if not always the fastest.
Wifey and I stopped last night… she had the roast beef (imagine that!) and I had the steak and cheese. The only problem with the steak and cheese sub? IT IS HUGE! Plan on eating half of it… and then having half for lunch the next day… for $ 7.99!
We have not tried anything else on their menu… but, I am guessing it is pretty good as well.
