Twigs & Sprigs and the Shear Shack Salon and Day Spa

I came in here friday afternoon during the amboy durby days festival. I thought it was a garage sale outside, since I am a city slicker passing through — Turns out this place has tanning, consignment on clothing, coffee/​bakery, salon and nails all in one large home. I checked out the gently used clothing they had and seen they have a lot of name brands like abercrombie* the gap, coach purses…
I tried the coffee and think the girl could’ve did a better job at making my mocha latte, because it was too sugary, but there was a lot of flavors from peanut butter to peppermint. Other than that, I tried a pastry which was a botterscotch chex mix, very sweet and delicious.
I spend my summers at a nearby town, so I def want to check out their services on nails — it will be closer than driving all the way to chicago.

I love this cute shop. So far I have only ordered the frozen hot chocolate and haven’t tried any of the other services but the frozen hot chocolate is amazing. I’m addicted and get one every time I’m in Amboy. The cashier (also the owner, I think) is very nice and makes the drinks in an orderly fashion. The store is always nicely decorated. I hope this place stays around for a long time.
