The Preserve At Spring Lake Apartments

Myself and a friend lived here in 2013 – 2014. Thinking about moving back, but not sure. We never had problems with maintenance or anyone in the office. It’s now under new management so I can’t speak on that. As far as the price you’ll pay and neighborhood it’s worth living here. Um, we do live in Florida so of course lizards sometimes go where they’re not wanted. Never had a lizard problem though. Did see a couple water bugs or whatever during my stay there but nothing too serious! They did spray for bugs inside and outside. If anything needed fixing it was done in a timely manner. Yeah, some of the things that had been fixed were done poorly. But again, it’s a cheap place so what do you expect. Never felt unsafe or anything like that. If you’re low on funds and wanting your own place in a decent area it’s worth it. If you’re a very picky person it’s not the place for you.

Terrible office staff. Highly rude when it comes to problem resolution. Roaches & lizards usually found there way into my apartment. Slow maintenance repairs by unprofessionals. Last straw for me was when I ended up receiving a notice regarding the entire complex being fumigated for subterranean & dry rot termites and that I had to pack all my food, prized belongings & pets to take with me to a local hotel they were going to put us up in. That hotel was pretty subpar as well & it was obvious the terms between the hotel & The Preserve were iffy. They tried to convince me that the fumigation wasn’t really harmful to humans & that none of my stuff would have residue of any kind (which is impossible). I have even asked for the contact info of the managing company and their office manager refused me their information. I am still fighting with them regarding the early termination of my lease cause I refused to continue living in such conditions. My logic was that if I had to take most of my prized belongings, pets & food with me that I may as well pack the whole place up and move to nice conditions. DO NOT MOVE HERE, EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO CHOICE!!!
They are trying to claim I am in the wrong for having a higher expectation of living conditions.
