B&L books is a nice, small, family run used bookstore. It’s the type of used bookstore that gives credit for every book brought in and accepted against a future purchase. If I lived closer, I’d be here a lot to take advantage of that and clear out some of my older titles. B&L also accepts textbooks, although I didn’t ask if there were limits. It’s clean and well lit, with tall bookshelves that make it kind of difficult to see everything on the top shelf if you’re short and the aisles can be a little cramped if you want to see things on the bottom shelf. It’s motivation to get there during less crowded times or, I guess, maybe lose weight. If you’re in the latter group, reading a book probably isn’t going to help although they do have some books in that category.(!) B&L has a decent selection in the major fiction and nonfiction groups overall. My normal go-to section, the science fiction, was a little thin but still had solid choices. I felt bad I wasn’t trading in any of my books to help replenish that area especially as the owner noted it was one of the harder genres to keep stocked. I like bookstores in general, any kind, especially local, and B&L didn’t disappoint. At first I thought B&L represented the initials of the owners, and they may, although the flyers used«Buy & Love». It makes sense. That’s what you do with books. And here is a good place to start.
