I’ve eaten at about a million Waffle Houses and the biggest thing that irks me about this one is the lack of consistency. You’ll go in one time and the service will be absolutely awful. You’ll get drunk and decide to get steak and eggs before bed and it will be great. You never know what to expect with these obnoxious Welfare bandits.

INTHEWEEHOURS! Although I have lived in the area for twelve years, I have only eaten at this restaurant on one other occasion. We had tried previously but it was always busy, especially on the weekends. So the key to getting in here and actually nabbing a seat is to arrive before 7:30am. We had been awake a couple of hours when I suddenly had a craving for one of their buttermilk waffles while my husband was interested in an omelet. So, we hopped in the car and drove on over! We are the first customers and our waitress Kim arrives shortly after we are seated. There are several options so we take a few minutes to decide. I finally decide to order a waffle with a side of scrambled eggs while my husband orders a ham, onion and cheese omelet with toast, grits and a side of hash browns. When my plate arrives, I immediately notice that my eggs are DOA,(dead on arrival). They are flat, unseasoned and overcooked. I prefer a nice fluffy order of eggs that are lightly seasoned. The waffle is exactly what you would expect from a Waffle House: perfection. My husband’s plate looks great, his omelet is nice and fluffy and seasoned well. Obviously, the person who prepared his omelet did not make my eggs! ENVY! His hash browns were nice and crispy but the grits were a disappointment as expected. No shade, we just don’t like the Southern interpretation of grits because they are usually under-seasoned and overcooked. We like our grits with grit and just prefer to prepare them ourselves. This Waffle House is a great option for a fast and convenient breakfast especially during the wee hours when you are not quite ready to cook and the dining out options are limited. Service was fast, personable and professional! This restaurant is located just East of 400 on the south side of the road. It tends to be a little cool, so bring a pullover or sweater.

First time I’ve been here. Ordered pickup. They gave me sausage biscuits with out the sausage. Blueberry waffles without blueberry. The lady who took the order was very kind and attentive, but how the hell do you let them wrap sausage biscuits without any damn sausage?!

There is nothing better than convict kitchen when you’re hungry as heyl. Yea, I know it’s wrong to call it that, but you knew what I was talking about when you read it. Lol! Anyhoo– this chain rarely dissapoints. Babygirl and I had waffles, eggs, toast, bacon, sausage and hashbrowns.(Told you we were hungry… more like hon-gray). All of it was cooked fresh and deelishis! You just have to remember to keep your eyes averted from looking at the cooking stations, have your money ready to pay, and make sure you move your azz along right after you finish eating cause ain’t nobody got time for your lingering conversation, folks are waiting for that table you sittin at and you might get cut for dilly dallying! Lmao

Like many people I’ve frowned upon the stereo typical Waffle House known for truckers. But I went to this Waffle House(my first time) and I was blown away. The food is amazingg! I’m a picky eater so was skeptical but me and my family can’t get enough! The waffles, coffee, service, burgers, bacon, sausage, ham, and hash-browns are always perfect! The only down side is the table size when you’re with more than 2 people due to all the plates you have to fit but that doesn’t stop the food from being less than perfect.

Great service. Happy servers even when we came extremely late. Great food. Fast and delicious. Classic WaHo experience. Would recommend. *pro tip: always ask for the $ 5 menu. Great deals.

Waffle House is what it says it is — a place to get waffles. But they also have other great breakfast items. They are famous for their hash browns which you can order in a variety of ways. My personal favorite is scattered and smothered(broken up with onions). Generally good grits and fabulous pecan pancakes. If rated on breakfast only then easily a four. But other menu items are pretty standard. Still there is something to be said about good comfort food. For breakfast I’d give it a four easily. Price is very competitive for what you get.

Love Waffle House! This location is the best. Always a friendly greeting when you walk in the door. Introduced my 11 year old son to scattered, smothered and covered hash browns. Making a future long lasting customer. :-)

So I just left this place and Corporate really needs to send in a mystery shopper on the 3rd shift. All the tables were dirty as hell and after customers leave they just picked up the dishes and didn’t even bother wiping down the tables. Few people walked in and looked at the open tables at least 5 open tables and just left cause each one were filthy.

My grits were lumpy and lukewarm. The floor near the grill was filthy and there was all kinds of trash underneath. My waitress was more interested in discussing lil Wayne with the cook than servicing me. When getting a towel to clean the tables, my waitress just wrung the water out in the middle of the floor instead of in a bucket… and just left it there. Why 2 stars? My eggs and waffle were tasty

This was my first time eating at Waffle House. It was the worst experience I had ever had in a restaurant. My friend found HAIR baked in her waffle. And when we were leaving, my daughter pulled HAIR from her braces. When we spoke to the Manager, he gave us 10% off the check and remove the $ 1 cost of the waffle. I didn’t like how the Manager handled it by talking to the cook right i front of and while pointing to our table. The waffle maker/cook saying that he didn’t have long hair. etc. I WILLNEVER be back. Our waitress Bido was great. They need an undercover Boss visit. This is unacceptable.

Staff is friendly and is working hard and that at 00.30 when we are here. And the place is packed. So that alone is a compliment. Food is good and served purpose. Hash brown are great

This WH was simply not clean. The floor near the grill had tons of dropped food on it. Seriously it only take a moment to use a broom to get up the debris. The staff was bickering with each other and one server proceeded to tell us the scoop on why she didn’t like another server. TMI. The food was typical WH and didn’t veer too much off course. 2 stars for the lack of cleanliness and professionalism from staff.

Crackheads and unclean folks cooking food! Don’t EATHERE! I went the other nite due to Burger King was closed and the staff got mad when I saw they wore no gloves and unsanitary conditions. I had asked that one cook my food due to the other was nasty and didnt wash him hands. How do you touch meat with bare hands. bloody and then touch other foods let alone you go outside and dont even come to wate your hands. They wear no hairnet and act like that hands are clean. also they leave dirty rags on the counter near food to be cooked! HORRIBLEE!

Why is it called the«Awful Waffle» when it always tastes oh-so-good whether you are drunk or sober? Can’t beat a health score of 95 A!

Service is fast and(usually) friendly. You keep one star. Ambience stinks. It’s a roadhouse diner. Subtract one star. It’s an unoriginal chain restaurant. Subtract one star. The food isn’t fresh. The hashbrowns look like they are out of a can. #Nothankyousir. Subtract one star. For what you get(grub worse than McDonalds) you pay WAY too much. Subtract one star. Stay away from the awful house. Spend your money at a local business that won’t make you struggle to keep your meal down.

Gotta take my cousin(from Cali) to try WAFFLEHOUSE. Greasy, icky, make you feel sicky kind of food. Nothing healthy about waffle house. But still, it’s a trip worth having. I ordered the 2 eggs with hash brown with a biscuit. I then proceeded to eat off my boyfriend’s plate. They gave me little pins(one for me, one for my cousin) that says Waffle House Princess. I didn’t even need breakfast — that totally made my day!
