Great service. Great food. Lots of selection for food allergies. Kids eat free Tuesdays or Wednesday… can’t remember. Overall a great fresh pizza joint! Their salads are great too :)

Big pizza and 2 Greek salads for take out today. Since when do you not provide utensils with a take out order? Food was still good. Most annoying hand written sign by the Coke machine. Thanks for letting me know that will send me to jail if I take water cup and fill it with soda. Still like your food but not your mean handwritten signs…

Their pizza is always quick and good. This is a good addition to the area and provides a nice alternative for lunch. Fast-casual pizza is the new thing!

The pizzas were great, if you can wait in line long enough to get them or if they don’t close early because they’re out of ingredients. We got there at 7:30 and stood in line until 8. There were only three people in front of us. One of my friends wanted to go there because they have gluten free dough, so when she ordered, they looked at her and said that they were out of the prerolled dough so they’ll have to roll it out, «is that OK?» implying how inconvenient it was for them to have to roll out dough. Oh I’m sorry, we thought the Fresh Dough Station meant that you have no problem making things fresh whenever it’s needed. It’s like going to a restaurant, ordering food and your waiter says they have to make what you want, is that ok? You’re damn right that’s ok, I’m not going back to your kitchen to make my own food am I?!? On top of that, the girl who was rolling dough had 18″ long hair that wasn’t tied back and was flopping all over the dough. Gross. While the staff was working extremely slowly, they were also talking really loudly amongst themselves saying that they deserve a raise because they work so hard. Why yes, you certain work so hard as if you put a part of yourself into the pizzas you make. I do enjoy eating my freshly rolled pizza with a side of hair for floss. I’m glad another reviewer mentioned this as well. I’ll try another location but I’m never going back to this one.

Food was great, staff was very confused with a coupon that i had. My order did sit for several minutes and got cold, while staff walked around.

Kind of a weird experience here. I walked in loving the concept and the seemingly endless combination of toppings you can put on your pizza, but I don’t think this is a place that we’ll head back to when a pizza craving strikes. First, the pizza was decent. My husband ordered the Big Max(tomato-basil sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, italian sausage, bacon, handmade meatballs) and I had the Simply Veggie(tomato-basil sauce, mozzarella, roma tomatoes, banana peppers, zucchini, mushrooms, black olives and fresh basil). Though my choice would seem the more boring of the two, it was decidedly the best. We each sampled the others pizza and agreed that the Big Max tasted a little weird. The flavors just weren’t in harmony. The crust on both pizzas was just ok; nothing to rave about. We used a check-in deal for a free order of bread sticks. I’m glad they were free. By bread sticks, they really mean a little thin slab of dough that has been baked with some seasoning on top and is served with two sides of sauce. The tomato sauce was a little bland and the garlic sauce was a bit much, but the two combined tasted better. Either way, I wouldn’t call these proper bread sticks. As far as dining in is concerned, it was uncomfortably hot in the restaurant. Seriously. You sit right across from the food prep area, and the heat from the ovens overpowers the restaurant. I kept wishing they had ceiling fans over the dine-in section. And finally, although we had great and friendly service while ordering, the young man who cleaned the table made things a bit awkward. We thanked him for cleaning our area and his response was a monotone,“Of course.” Huh. Basically, I walked out thinking that this place kind of pales in comparison to zpizza down the street, which of course has the benefit of being a larger chain. But another strike against Uncle Maddio’s is that, unlike zpizza, they do not post nutritional info on their website or in the restaurant. I see that another Unilocaler complained about this almost a year ago and was told that the company was working to get this information posted. Well, it’s still unavailable, and I think that’s something customers want to see more and more these days.

Only reason I went here was because they had deals at the time. Being that these kind of deals are supposed to get you hooked on the place they failed horribly. The pizza was nothing special. It’s kinda cool that they have a lot of different options, but they don’t put much of the toppings on. The service the last time I went was horrible. i went because they had a free pizza with return of receipt and they didn’t see to understand their own thing they were doing on top of getting the orders wrong. got two personal pizzas and they messed up both and even assured it was correct when I asked since i thought they messed it up. With how many pizza places there are around I will not be going back here. they skimp on the topping so much as well, i’d rather just make my own pizza… it tastes better too at not much more cost for all the toppings I buy. I’d pick almost any other pizza place over this.

I think this place is great for what it is: high value ingredients with a focus on providing individual meals(pizza + soup/salad) and not giant pies; perfect for lunchtime. Personally they could charge +$ 1 and I wouldn’t bat an eye.

I had never heard of this place, and stumbled upon it one day. I could see through the window a graphic explaining the values of its food«hormone free chicken, made from scratch dough, served with love» etc. it reminded me of the Chipotle concept. I enjoyed the options to choose my own crust, sauce, and up to 3 toppings on a personal sized pizza for $ 6.99. The pizza was quite good — not mind blowing, but good. The people were friendly and the atmosphere pleasing. The only thing that was a bit off-putting was that they shouted«Welcome to Maddios»(or something similar) from across the kitchen. It reminded me of Moes SW Grill and I find that annoying as heck. Find your own schtick, guys!

We enjoyed our Uncle Maddio’s experience. This is not the best pizza we’ve ever had, but for the price point it is tasty and a good value. We really liked the variety of the ingredients for the build-your-own-pie concept(think Moe’s burrito bar layout but for pizzas), including multiple crust, sauce, and cheese options. All of the meat and vegetable toppings looked fresh and appealing. Well executed, and since the pie varieties you can build are endless we’ll be back.

Well really I just tried this place because it was close to the bank. I didn’t look it up, didn’t get a recommendation. Just driving by. Man I’m glad that I did. The concept is simple yet complex at the same time. You pick out the size pie you want, toppings & drink then six minutes later you have you very own custom pie. I like this because like at burger king I get to have it «my way» I haven’t see a pizza joint like this before & the concept is pretty cool. My pie was hot & fresh & not too bad either. I’m sure there are quite a few pizza snobs on Unilocal & they would like to know how does this pizza stack up to the other more popular places. It’s not quite as good as the best places but it holds its own & comes in right around the middle of the pack.

Ciao, Maddio! This is another location of the local create-your-own-pizza joint on Windward Parkway near Costco. The concept here is that you pick your crust, sauce, cheese and toppings from a bulleted menu and they bake your own personal pie for you in about 5 minutes. There are also some salads and such for carb counters. I love the concept and the variety of ingredients. What impressed me most was the quantity of different cheese options they had available. Standards like mozzarella and feta were on there, along with some standouts including ricotta and goat cheese(!!) I freaking love goat cheese but I’ve never seen it on a pizza menu before. Yeah, that’s right. I love goat cheese. Chèvre. It’s tangy, healthy and easily digestible. Don’t judge me. Crust options include white, wheat and gluten free. Honestly I’m still not certain what gluten is, but I do know that I want it in my breadstuffs. Can I order a crust with EXTRA gluten? That would probably be the best thing ever. The finished product at Uncle Maddio’s is «just okay». It’s not really what I consider to be pizza. When that pizza craving hits me, I want a big ol’ slice dripping with grease. I understand that Maddio’s is a much healthier option but still… it’s not something I’m ever going to crave. It’s a flatbread that I can customize with some nice cheese and ingredient options. But it’s never going to scratch that itch. The restaurant atmosphere is nice and very clean, and the employees are friendly and efficient. They have one of those Freestyle Coke machines. I know some people complain that they slow down the beverage line during lunch rush, but I think those things kick ass! Playing around with the crazy menu options makes me feel like a kid at a soda fountain for the first time. There’s no nutritional information available for any of the Maddio’s menu items, which is a major gripe for me. I should note, though, that when I voiced my displeasure on the company’s Facebook page they responded and let me know that they are working with a third party to collect and publish that info within a few months. So let’s hope that happens! It would probably kick my rating up another half star, at least. For now this place scores a solid 3.

Man, Kramer really had something with the«make-your-own-pie» idea, and Uncle Maddio’s has certainly taken it to a new level. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. I really felt the«love» that they claim their pizza is served with. I was there to use my coupon for a free pizza with 3 toppings that I acquired for liking their facebook page. Kudos for that! I got a pie with wheat dough with garlic sauce and topped it with mozzarella cheese, chicken, bacon, and mushrooms. 6 minutes later I had a delicious 9″ pizza to enjoy. The pizza itself was good, although a little greasy. That could have been because of my garlic sauce choice, though. The ingredients seemed really fresh, and it was just the right amount. I actually saved half for later. The reason for the 3 stars is because I wish they had nutritional info on their website or in the restaurant. Also, be careful in the restroom ladies because that toilet seat is sharp! The top of the seat was broken and scraped, which in turn scraped me. Ouch! Overall, the pizza was decent and I do intend to go back and try a different combination. The prices are reasonable for what you get, and I appreciate the community involvement.
