Everything they did was perfect. I’m kind of a perfectionist about my nails, and they impressed me. David was my nail tech and he was friendly and also excellent at his work. I will absolutely be back.

I’ve never had acrylic nails so I was a little nervous getting them. I searched on Unilocal to find a good salon. I wanted to wait until I had gone to the salon a few times before I wrote a review. I went to Tips and Toes. Lisa did a fabulous job on my nails. I’ve been back two more times for filling. Once again with Lisa and once with Kenny. The salon is clean, everyone is nice and it’s easy to get an appt. My nails look great. I’m so happy with the whole experience and would highly recommend Tips and Toes. I’ll definitely be a long term customer

I have been to this place twice. My first time going here was a very pleasant experience. I got a regular manicure. I love the atmosphere and they were very nice and didn’t speak another language in front of you which made me feel very comfortable.
However, my second experience wasn’t as good. I got an express pedicure and a full set. The woman who did my nails seemed very annoyed the whole time. After she had polished my full set she informed me that my nails would be $ 30 rather than the normal $ 25. She said it was because I got a longer length and they had to use more acrylic. I’ve never heard of a nail salon charging extra for length. Especially considering they’re not ungodly long, just not short. She ended up just charging me $ 25 for the nails but after I complained that I wasn’t informed until they were already done. They’re prices are higher than most nail salons but the environment is nice. They do a good job and I would probably go back but only if I was getting short length nails.

I love this place and my Tiffany P. She is the best nail tech I’ve ever had! She’s personable, professional, efficient and most important creative! They have great service and it’s super clean!

Cleanest nail salon I have ever been to! Excellent staff– very professional and polite. They pay attention to details and are very welcoming. If you aren’t coming here for mani/​pedis, then you are missing out!

Found this new place with help of a new friend. Regular mani and pedi goes for 34. The organic goes for 43. Salon is clean and spacious and has a nice atmosphere. They carry OPI and Etsy. Good selection of colors.

I went in for a pink & white fill and was extremely pleased with the result! Crystal did an amazing job and kept me laughing with her witty sense of humor. I will definitely be coming back!!!

First off, I had read that a good majority of the nail salons around the metro aren’t regulated as the «health» inspectors are few in comparison to the amount of salons. I was VERY pleased to see that the instruments used for my pedi were in autoclave packaging! Also, the place is clean and the décor is so cute! The prices were on point for what I’d expect and my pedi turned out awesome, flowers and all. I am only giving 4 stars because the gal who did the pedi seemed less than impressed to be there and when asked if she enjoys her job (nothing sugar coated) she responded with a «no». Whether you hate it or not, I wouldn’t tell the paying customer that you do or don’t! I was able to warm her up a bit with conversation, but her clear distaste for the job made me feel awkward. I will return, but I’ll cross my fingers that next time I get someone a bit more cheery!

Unilocal doesn’t always provide you with the best go to places bc this was a quick decision for a lunch break pamper session. I went in to get my acrylic overlay removed & a gel mani. The salon was gorg with a relaxing atmosphere. That’s why I gave a 3 star rating… décor! The nail tech (she didn’t talk much… so I honestly forget her name) cut my cuticles up & the sides of my skin near my nail. I was truly butchered & my nails were sooooo sore! Overly priced & an uneven application with the gel polish. My original nail tech even asked who did my nails & why were they so uneven. Welp, that’s what I get for searching for a quick fix near my job! I’ll just stick to the VIP service I receive at Brookhaven Nail City!

Had a great experience. Mani and pedi were gentle. Nail art was beautiful. Calm atmosphere and nice people.

I went with two of my friends and I loved it! Jennifer was so sweet and did a wonderful job! Crystal waxed my eyebrows so quick and felt (almost) painless and they look great! Definitely would recommend this place for anyone that’s wanting to get something professionally done. Can’t wait to go back soon!:)

I ran into here on a limb because if you see my review for another nail salon with the horrible nail chipping picture… you can see I desperately needed a fix. it was getting to the point to where I was embarrassed to show people my hands lol.
I walked in and it’s a beautiful salon that has been taken care of. great atmosphere. I asked the girl who greeted me if there’s any way I could be seen for a gel polish removal and a replacement gel mani and I also informed her I needed to be out no later than 12:45 so I could be on time for work at 1 (I came at 11:50). she said yes and quickly sat me down. I told her how I would like my nails (cut short since they were damaged from the brutal job my last salon did) and square shaped. she immediately started the process on removing my gel polish. this salon was pretty busy and she disappeared for a few in order to attend to the guests entering the salon. I waited for about ten minutes and a new technician, Chrystal, came to me and finished what she had started. she removed my gel and started my gel polish process.
Chrystal is awesome. she accurately and efficiently did an outstanding job on my nails and got me out at 12:32 so I wouldn’t be late to work! she was fast yet still did her job with quality. very, very affordable. it was $ 20 for a gel polish removal and to get gel polish back on! normally it’s $ 35 at past salons I’ve been to. I’ll be back!

Awesome place to get pink and white acrylic nails done. Kenny is fabulous, he is the only one I have do mine. Been here many many times after finding him about a year ago Today is my first time getting my toes done here I usually do them myself. Kenny did an awesome job and the massage was wonderful!!!

Just got a fantastic manicure and pedicure here from some lovely ladies. I am very picky when it comes to nail salons, annoyingly so really. Here they were friendly, used great quality paint, didn’t hurt me and most importantly they LISTENED to what I wanted. Here’s how it broke down.
Service: Fantastic! The gal at the front greeted me and was super friendly. I was shown to the back and placed in a comfy chair to soak the feet. My pedicurist was very nice and listened to my concerns and requests regarding a toe which tends to get ingrown if not handled carefully. She also spent a lot of time making sure I was comfortable (I’m 9 months pregnant). The manicurist came over and started working on my hands and was equally kind and listened just as well. She filed my nails how I like and was super friendly. All in all just awesome service from a nail salon.
Polish: They have China Glaze, OPI and Essie nail polishes as well as some gel polishes which I did not really look at but will next time. Many different colors to chose from and all in good condition from the looks of it (none of the dried up colors I see in some salons)
Quality of work: The manicure and pedicure both look fantastic. I am picky about these things and here they paint all the way to the edges but not on your cuticle. Just a real solid varnish job. The massage on the pedicure was very pleasant. Often it’s too strong or too weak and they don’t really care. Here they look at you and read your cues and it really makes for a great experience. Nails look great, hands and feet feel great. Win/​Win.
Price: Ok here’s where I am just beside myself, the mani pedi were $ 33. I have paid more than this this just for a basic mani at some of the «fancy» salons and not had nearly as great a job performed. I know Alpharetta is more affordable than Seattle or San Francisco or even Buckhead, but really?! $ 33 for a fantastic mani-​pedi? Amazing and so worth it.
I will definitely be back to get the nails done and at these prices I can afford to come often.

This place is right next to work, which is great! I like the atmosphere… it feels like a spa in there. They play really nice relaxing music. The staff is very friendly, and extremely accommodating. It’s really big so it is airy and doesn’t have the stuffy smell of nail polish fumes. They really do a good job every single time I go there. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is that while the actual cleaning and polishing of the nails is good, the message (an equal part of the service) was not that great. I got a $ 5 coupon for checking in on Unilocal,so the next time I’m there, I’m going to ask for their organic treatment.

I was searching for a nail salon that specifically did nail art. I don’t frequent nail salons, so I wasn’t sure if that was just something that all salons should do. So, where does one go when wanting to research a business? Unilocal,of course!
While searching on Unilocal,this was the only salon in the area that even mentioned anything about nail art, and also provided pictures of said nail art. So, I decided to give them a try.
I walked in and asked for doughnut inspired nails. The ladies seemed very intrigued by this, and they assigned me to their nail art specialist (I’m sad I can’t remember her name, though).
I showed her a picture of what I wanted, and she replicated it pretty dead on! They also lasted a good 2.5 weeks.
I would definitely go back, even if I’m not looking for some fancy nail art next time. Everyone was super friendly, prices were right, place was clean, and the nail art is fantastic!

Since I like doing my own nails (when I have the time!), I don’t get professional manicures very often. However, every now and then, I will see an awesome deal for a gel manicure via a deal site. When I saw the Groupon for a $ 12 gel manicure ($ 25 value!), I couldn’t resist buying it.
Like many others who bought the Groupon, I waited ’til the very last minute — about two weeks before it was going to expire — to finally book an appointment. I was super lucky and grateful that the person who answered the phone actually booked an appointment for me to come in at 9:30 am, which is 30 minutes before opening time on a Saturday because that was the only time available.
When I walked in at 9:30 am, there were two employees inside the store. I mentioned that I had an appointment for a gel manicure, and that I had a Groupon. They took my Groupon, and I was asked to choose which color I wanted for my gel manicure. Since I wanted a neutral, conservative color that would be work-​appropriate, I didn’t have many options. One employee suggested this very light pink shade called Bubble Bath. It looked pretty on the little plastic sample, so I agreed to get that.
Unfortunately, my nails are brittle and broke the week before my appointment, so I had to get the manicure done on short nails. Boo.
My nail technician, Tiffany, was very gentle as she filed my nails (round because they were too short and I had no choice T. T), trimmed my cuticles, etc. She was wonderful to talk to, and I thought everything was great — until the point when I had to put each hand in the UV gel lamp to cure (dry).
The UV lamp that Tiffany used for me is super small. Although I have really small hands, my nails were almost touching the back of the lamp. They could have easily been ruined if I wasn’t careful. At one point, I had to put both hands in it at the same time, and Tiffany told me a way to angle my hands so that the UV light would reach every nail. It was kind of annoying, and I could only imagine what a pain it would have been for someone with larger hands. I guess they probably have larger lamps available at the other nail stations, but not at mine.
When Tiffany was done with my gel manicure, she told me to wash my hands, and then she applied lotion on my hands to finish. She was very polite and seemed surprised when I handed her my tip. That made me worry that maybe other Groupon users weren’t tipping them appropriately.
Overall, Nails Tips & Toes gets 4.5 stars for their wonderful, friendly service and Tiffany’s excellent work on my gel manicure! Although the pink shade turned out to be a lot more translucent that I had hoped, it has lasted for two weeks now and still looks pretty good considering it’s been that long. Nails Tips & Toes is all the way out in Alpharetta, but I highly recommend them if you are in need of a great manicure — and ask for Tiffany! =)
