I was so happy to find out Sunshine delivers to me. I used to order it a lot when I lived in Johns Creek. It was as good as I remembered it being… for delivery it’s the best Chinese food around in my opinion.

This place is great! The menu is well thought out with all our favorites. They are generous with their portions including the proteins. They use lots of white meat chicken. The vegetables are fresh and flavorful. They also have an online ordering system on their website that is super easy to use. You just click the item you want and it adds it directly to your cart. I had fresh, high quality Chinese food on my doorstep in 25 minutes from the time I placed the order. This is a new favorite!

Never again. Tried this place for the first time, was told the delivery would take 50 minutes. Food arrived 1 hour and 30 minutes later, totally cold. We were given no receipt, the extra spicy we ordered was not spicy at all. Terrible!

What a pleasant surprise to find Sun Shine II! The food is very fresh, portions are great and the price is right! I’ve had the sweet and sour chicken, lemon chicken, crab Rangoon and Rice Noodles and everything I’ve had is really good! The chicken is fried just right, not too greasy, still juicy and not burnt. The fried rice was very tasty had some egg and vegetables in there. Crab Rangoon could have some more actual crab in it but still had great flavor. The inside is nothing too special it seems like most of their business is done through take out or delivery. The people that work there are prompt and courteous. Now the only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because I don’t think they have quite figured out the«EAT» App. How cool and convenient that you can place your whole order on your smart phone through the«EAT» app. And every time I use it I just pay through my Pay Pal account. However the 3 times I’ve ordered from the EAT app and went in to pick up my order they try to charge me again. And I would keep reiterating that I already paid through Pay Pal. The other downer is that I HATE onions and on the EAT App you can add any notes to the cook for your food. Twice when I’ve ordered the Sweet and Sour Chicken I’ve added«No Onions» to my order and BOTH times when I’ve picked up my order there are a handful of HUGE raw onions marinating in the sweet and sour sauce. And I almost found it comical the second time I went to pick up my order because the lady tells me «Sweet and Sour Chicken with Fried Rice and NO onions, right?!» And I’m thinking OK they’ve got it this time! But found out when I got home not so much as I starting fishing for raw onions in my sweet and sour sauce! In closing the food is good, tasty and fresh. Service is good, but there is some lack of communication in the kitchen through the use of this EAT App. So just check your order before you leave and have your smartphone available if you have to show that you’ve already paid for your EAT order.

I have been eating at this place for a few years, and it’s just about the only Chinese food I will eat. I am more of a Thai food person, but this place hits the spot. Sometimes American style Chinese food can be greasy, soggy, and the meat can have a strange texture. This place is great. The meat is cooked just right, and the veggies are always crisp and delicious. I usually order the chicken with broccoli. Also, their lunch prices are a steal. For about $ 6, you can get a huge portion of delicious food. It’s definitely worth a try.

This restaurant tucked away beside a Papa John’s in Alpharetta, GA, is a true lunch gem. I think they have mastered Americanized Chinese Food. PF Changs and Panda Express hasn’t got anything on Sunshine II. Went here for lunch, and I got their Mongolian Chicken and Sesame Chicken. It was perfect for me — big portions, and they customized their sauces to my tastes. Combo meal came with seasoned chicken wings or spring rolls. Service was friendly and super fast.

We’ve been coming here for a few years. The service was never good but the food was. Today, both were bad. Soup was cold, as were the egg roll and chicken appetizers. The kung Po chicken had no peanuts. The owner was unapologetic and offered no compensation. I told him we wouldn’t be back. He didn’t care.

I WON’T USETHEMAGAIN!!! Food is good but BEWARE if you pay by credit card. We added $ 3.00 tip to our check but when I reviewed my statement they had changed the the«0’s» into«8’s». Not that 88 cents is going to break the bank but it’s sneaky, unethical, and dishonest. Makes me wonder what other things they may be doing in the kitchen!!! Not to mention that doing such on many checks over the course of time could add up to big $$$ for them.

Everything was soggy. Including the crab ragoons. Flavors were similar in all dishes(general tao’s, black pepper scallops and hot & sour soup). Service was fine, hence the extra star.

Let’s face it. Chinese food in Alpharetta/Johns Creek is more a miss than a hit. However, Sunshine II seems to hold up. I like the Sesame Wing lunch special for $ 7 and the pan fried dumplings.

A little gem sandwiched between Papa Johns pizza and other stores in a mini-strip. Only needed some hot’ n Sour & egg-drop soups and egg-rolls for take out, but both were delicious. My other Chinese rest. was closed for remodeling, but Sun Shine II staff was prompt and friendly in filling my order. Dine in area is very small but comfortable. I’ll be coming back!

Two of us got the Family Dinner for Two last night — to go. It was great because while the standard dishes that come with the deal are Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Pork, they allow substitutions(may be an extra charge for some entrée substitutions). Also got Egg Drop Soup instead of the standard deal Sizzling Rice Soup with no problem. The family dinner comes with 2 entrees, 2 individual steamed rice boxes, 1 quart of soup, 2 egg rolls, and 2 crab rangoons for around $ 20. Can’t beat that — plenty of food and generous portions(eating leftovers today). I got the Orange Chicken and my friend got the Kung Pao Shrimp. Both were really tasty and the soup was not too salty. Definitely good food(I think I like it better than PF Chang’s and what we got would have cost $ 45+ at Chang’s!!) Very pleased and will definitely try this place out again!

When I’m sick, tired, home alone, and don’t want to drive to a real restaurant, I call the nice people at Sun Shine II to brighten my day(see what I did there?). Anyway, enough of the cheesy jokes. I think this place is great when it comes to Americanized Chinese food, because my mother, the ever picky eater when it comes to American Chinese, actually likes their food. She says its not too greasy and not too salty. Another thing is that she likes and prefers the fried rice from Sun Shine. She really hates fried rice at any other Chinese place. This is the only place, that my mother told me she likes their fried rice. I think its a solid place that’s really consistent. They deliver which is a huge plus in my book(cause I only order delivery when feeling lazy and sluggish).

Its not going to change your life or knock your socks off… but you can get some solid fragrant pork with soup, a spring roll, and a chicken wang at lunch for… $ 5.29! You can’t beat that with a stick, fo reals.

Really good inexpensive chinese. Beef dishes are lacking but all seafood dishes have been good. Great delivery and take out. Interior is very sparse.

Always good. Located 2 miles away and the order is delivered faster than I can sharpen my chopsticks! When one of us isn’t feeling well we always order some Sunshine and feel better.

Solid Chinese with all the usual suspects on the menu. Very consistent over the years. We have been ordering from Sunshine for about 10 years. The General’s Chicken is good and the wife always gets the Pork Egg Foo Young. Each entrée is big enough for two good sized meals, so we always have good leftovers the next day. We have always found their delivery very fast. If they say 30 minutes, they will be there in 15 — count on it!
