One of my favorite bakeries– the products are great and the customer service is even better. They really care and you can tell in everything they do. Pumpkin bread is my favorite– they could charge double and I’d still buy it.

I wondered into Sally’s gluten free bakery to redeem a scoutmob coupon and satisfy my afternoon sweet tooth. I sampled just about everything and ended up purchasing pumpkin bread and sweet potato bread … Mostly because I couldn’t decide which I liked better. The breads were fresh, moist, and delicious. It was just as good if not better than the«real» thing. I didn’t miss the dairy, egg, flout, etc. this is coming from a girl who loves her baked goods and does not need to be on a gluten free diet. Keep up the good work. I will be back for more treats!

I was sent to order a cake and buy bread for a coworker with gluten sensitivity who was retiring. Like other reviewers have said, it is a storefront that brings in the fresh products daily or at least very regularly. They have cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and bread. Once we brought in the cake and bread, coworkers lined up to take nibbles, dumbfounded. Nobody could believe that these products were gluten free. They taste and feel like the real deal, if not better. Sally’s sells high quality products, and with the increased awareness of Celiac and gluten intolerance, it’s great to know where to find a product that will be sure to please everyone without any off-putting tastes or textures. Sally’s is a valuable addition to the businesses in this neck of the woods.

In Alparetta for business in February I happened upon this place almost hidden in a small strip mall. The name intrigued me since GF baked goods are so rare. All I can say is I am very, very impressed with the food. I tried the chocolate chip cookies(just perfect), the banana bread(a tad dry but tasty), the blueberry muffins(great as they are, evrn better with butter) and on a later visit(just yesterday) the cinnamon rolls(and more cookies and muffins…), all of which are just wonderful. Just a caution: Don’t be fooled by the very tiny and plain interior of the store(same with the one in Sandy Springs) — it is basically a small glass counter and a sign on the wall. You are not buying the store, just their food. If I had a suggestion for them, it would be to add nice photos of every item to the wall, since(in my experience) not every item is available fresh every day(frozen is always available).

Sally’s is, essentially, a small storefront. Refrigerated cases contain take-and-bake pizzas. Samples of bread and sweets line the checkout counter. The guy who helped me gave a bit of info on the cookies, breads and cupcakes without overselling them. He also refrained from pressuring me to add another product to my tab after I told him I wanted to redeem a deal for a free mini loaf. He advised that the pumpkin loaf I picked would last 2 – 3 days(the package stated less time) and that I could freeze it immediately and enjoy it later. I also purchased a pack of chocolate chip cookies. I ate half of the loaf two days later. Even when I finished it off, the loaf remained moist. Initially, I noted the lack of butter in and thicker consistency of this soy, gluten, egg and dairy-free product. Warming spices(cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger) permeated the bread. The more I tasted, the more I liked it. Visit SeeSaveSavor for more.

This location has been open for about two years, but I recently made a first visit taking advantage of a Scoutmob deal for a free mini loaf of bread. Three choice were available. Banana, sweet potato and pumpkin. I do no require a gluten free diet however, I like buying breads and baked goods that do not contain HFCS! This bakery met my expectations by having baked goods made with quality ingredients. Free samples of the sundry baked goods are available. I sampled the sweet potato and pumpkin bread. Both were good however, I preferred the pumpkin bread and chose that as my free selection.

Heard about these folks through ScoutMob and had to use my FREE coupon for a loaf of gluten free banana bread. It was definitely worth trying. The associate was very professional and gave me the low down on how it was done. If you don’t have the ScoutMob app on your phone, you’re missing out on lots of FREE things. #bonappetite

I love all desserts. Gluten, gluten free, vegan. All of them. However, I find it an extra plus when I can find a vegan treat that doesn’t taste like its missing any key deliciousness. One of my favorite cakes of all time(next to any cake…) is hummingbird cake. Sally’s vegan hummingbird cake is faaannntassstic. And reasonably priced. ANDDD the best part of the whole bakery? They have samples of EVERY product. That way you know you’ll like what you get. I love that their store is very small and doesn’t have an overwhelming selection. They have pumpkin, banana, and sweet potato(really good!) breads in addition to cakes, coffee cakes, and cupcakes. Most of which are vegan and all of which are gluten free. I bought the chocolate chip cookies and a mini sweet potato loaf($ 5 and $ 6 respectively). I 100% recommend the hummingbird cake. I would have bought that if it were not the fact that I have zero self control and would eat said cake. All of it. Although it is a bit pricier, Id like to mention that they had awesome service and spoke to me in length about all their products. I think its fantastic that there is a shop for people who have gluten intolerance and food allergies. I learned from the owner that the store was made for Sally’s kids who have these allergies.(He’s one of those kids).

I’d like to preface this with: I’m not gluten free… But, damn if this place doesn’t have amazing scratch baked goods. I recommend the cinnamon roll and the Chocolate cupcakes!

Sally’s Gluten Free Bakery does a great job of creating the feeling that you are being invited into someone’s home for afternoon tea, minus the tea. Their selection of baked goods are set up for display as well as samples of each product. Who doesn’t love samples?! A more extensive menu is posted on the wall that includes hamburger buns, pizza dough, etc. Taylor, the owner, does a great job of ensuring quality of product — freshly baked goods as well as even going to the length of changing the samples every couple of hours. You can also tell he is passionate about his bakery and really believes in the products he sells. I will preface this taste portion of the review by saying that I am not gluten free and I can indulge in all things with wheat flour goodness. With that being said, the red velvet cupcakes is almost identical to the real deal. The cake part is moist and the cream cheese frosting is not overwhelming. The same could be said of the vanilla cupcakes. However, the chocolate cupcakes do miss the mark for me – the consistency of the cake being much denser. The chocolate chip cookies are comparable in price to your Mrs. Fields or Great American Cookie company. These cookies are crunchy whereas as a personal preference, I like them soft baked. But really the winner is the Hummingbird cake. I hate coconut flakes but this cake is SO good. The banana bread base cake is a strong in flavor but light in texture making it impossible to eat just one slice. Gluten free friends, rejoice, for you can now enjoy all the baked goods I can without sacrificing taste! But if I haven’t sold you yet, there’s a scout mob deal for a free mini loaf of bread.

Wow, I was very impressed. It was a little hard to find since my GPS sent me to the wrong strip mall, but so worth it. I do not need a gluten free diet so I was buying cupcakes for a coworkers birthday. They had free samples so I tried a few. The hummingbird cake and cinnamon pecan coffee cake were good. I bought the chocalate, red velvet and vanilla cupcakes which were also soy and egg free. They looked good but I figured they must not taste very good without egg and gluten. The vanilla was great and moist and I could not tell the difference. Everyone was surprised how moist they were. I will go back for gluten free friends but now I am considering the coffee cake for myself.

For the bakery items… Cupcakes and bread… It is five star plus! The pizza is slightly lacking. There are better gluten-free pizza options. The cupcakes and mini loaves are simply the best!

I’ve been to the Sandy Springs location a couple of times and know about the awesome baked goods. We were in the area and decided to visit this location and this place just doesn’t miss a beat. Everything is heavenly, especially for those of us who can«rarely» get a decent cupcake. But, whoa! I got a pack of the red velvet cupcakes and tried to eat them all! These cupcakes are simple and perfect. I can’t wait to go back and get more! I’m just going on about the cupcakes but honestly, I’ve had just about everything that they make and ITISDELICIOUS. I’ve even had the pizza’s. Everything they make is great!

OK ~ This would be 5 stars except somewhat pricey. And I do understand the quality ingredients and all. But, with the ability to freeze and have few employees to manage the store, I would think it could off– set the price a tad more. Also, I agree with another review that raved the moistness of the items and the great selection, but a tad on the sweet side for me as well. I am a sweetsaholic and the banana bread was really sweet to me as well. I have already voiced my request for Stevia instead of sugar. It is natural and if you are going to be baking for health it is kinder to the body than agave nectar, honey or cane sugar. All which raise glucose levels and cannot be eaten by diabetics. I love Sally’s. just made my first purchase last week. I will be back. I am hoping they are a company that really considers their customers input! I am trying to come off breads and baked goods and eat just meats, fruits and vegetables. This may take the rest of my life! So, until then this is a far healthier choice than Chips Ahoy! Ah, the gluten-free(GF) movement. Unlike Atkins and all the other diets out there, I’m sure the GF diet is here to stay. For me, it’s a choice as I’m trying it to see if it will help my body. I wandered in on a Thursday afternoon since I was in the area. I’ve kept Sally’s Scoutmob deal on my phone for quite some time so I knew where the bakery was but just didn’t have time to stop in. The bakery is kind of tucked away, hidden alongside a few stores in the busy intersection of Kimball Bridge and Old Milton(State Bridge). Stepping into the store, I instantly felt warmed up by the heavy smell of cinnamon and fresh baked goods. The smells must have wafted over from the kitchen because all the sale goods are packaged aside from the samples sitting in open air. So many samples! I decided to buy a bag of chocolate chip cookies(6 cookies for $ 4.89) and with a Scoutmob deal, I could get a free mini loaf. I decided on the banana bread since that’s a flavor the whole family would agree upon. The cookies are crispy just like other GF cookies I’ve had before. Boy, is that chocolate sweet. The banana bread was great too, moist like it should be. Slight caveat to both items is that both are on the sweet side, almost a little too sweet for me. Price-wise, at first glance, the items seem expensive, but when you consider the care and the ingredient selection going into the baked goods, the price is worth it. I was hoping to get a cupcake but I didn’t see any. I mostly saw the different breads and mini loafs. I’d definitely like to come back for a cupcake since I’ve never had a GF cupcake before.
