I love this place! Everything is so well organized. All the clothing is hung neatly on racks and color coded. The racks are labeled so you aren’t digging through pants, shirts, dresses trying to find a certain item. If you want a man’s shirt, there’s a rack for it etc. They are adding new items every day. Sure, it’s hit or miss just as any thrift store is. They have a great book selection. On Tuesdays, they offer a 25% off discount for veterans and on Thursdays, they offer a 25% discount for those over the age of 55.

Average Goodwill with a decent selection. I wouldn’t travel here over others though as the selection was nothing special.

I’ve never really been into thrift shops but my mom and little sister both are so I went here with them one day a couple of months ago and actually found some really nice stuff for a great deal! I’ll definitely be back!

This was very organized for a Goodwill. I actually really enjoyed spending a few hours here. Be warned, Sundays it is very crowded. There was quite a wait to checkout because there were only 2 cashiers, but I was happy with my purchases. There wasn’t a ton of the higher brands, but I found a few gems. Found a pair of name brand ski gloves for 3 bucks. I was thrilled. Again I think it’s like the other goodwills, but I got lucky the time I went.

I really like this Goodwill. The clothes are separated by types of clothing and by color, which works for me. However, definitely be prepared to spend a lot of time digging through the clothes to find that«special find.»

I’m an avid thrifter. It started back in college when I bought a vintage lace dress for a dime — A DIME. When my daughter wore the dress(which I saved all these years) to a bat mitzvah, a handful of people came over. «Where did you get this beautiful dress???» Goodwill, like any thrift store, is hit or miss. A Goodwill employee in Marietta, mentioned that better merchandise is sometimes funnelled to more affluent neighborhoods. He advised me to check out the new McFarland store. Well… on my first visit, I found a large Brighton purse — yes, a real one — with an unused Brighton wallet/checkbook holder.(I couldn’t locate the purse on line, but I did find the wallet, which retails for $ 130.) I paid $ 4.95 for the pair. I like the thrill of the hunt. Whether it’s a Coach bag — yes, I’ve found those too — or a Target special, you’ll pay the same: $ 4.95 for purses, skirts, shirts… And if you’re over 55, you get a 25% discount on Tuesdays. Do I need to shop in thrift stores? Nope. But I find it fun, and I like the idea of unique, often retro clothing.

My buddies live in a house across the street from this place so watching it get built was fascinating(McFarland Rd is a mostly industrial road that bridges Fulton/Forsyth Counties together). But we never went in. This past weekend, I needed some time to kill before my friends got back to their place, so I decided to check it out. The area that surrounds this place has a LOT of affluent neighborhoods, with a mix of farms and not so affluent areas, so the mix(in terms of merchandise) I was excited to see. Now this place is huge, has tons of space for a Goodwill, and plenty of parking(hell, they even have fuel efficient parking too). When I walked in, I noticed two things immediately– how much empty space there was, and the smell. The selection of stuff, IMO, sucked. I didn’t see a single thing that appealed to me(I love these kind of places too, mind you) — just a bunch of junk really. Even the furniture– there were like 6 – 7 pieces for sale. The clothes were decently priced, but nothing too exciting. At least the people were friendly and the actual store was clean(except the smell) but I literally spent less than 5 minutes before going through the whole store. If this is your kind of thing, its great for clothes but if you are looking for a TV, housewares, or furniture– look elsewhere.

This Goodwill just opened up very close by to my home. I was excited because I love thrifting, but this location has been just okay. It has the exact same layout ad the goodwill in John’s Creek, but that one is way better. The selection seems lacking it it seems to have a lot more ‘junk’. I don’t know, maybe it just hasn’t hit it’s stride yet. It is clean though, and a good location(about 2 miles off 400 exit 12), and has ample parking. The staff is as helpful as they can be, too. I will probably update this because I don’t have much to add right now, but may have more insight as I check it out more often.
