This is my wife and I’s go to Chinese take out. It helps that it’s basically the only Chinese place around, but they are always speedy about 30 mins delivery or 10 min pick up. The food is freshly made, nothing to out of the ordinary, general tso’s, house lo mein, spring rolls, etc. It’s all good enough you know, nothing extraordinary but nothing bad either. TL;DR: you’re in the burbs, you got about 30 $ to feed two and you want Chinese this is it.

Omg this chinese restaurant is on the money!!! It taste just like the chinese restaurants from nyc!!! I thought I would never find a good chinese spot and their prices are so reasonable! I will not get chinese food from anywhere else for take out… Their fried rice is the correct color, not that brown and white looking rice they have been serving me at other places since i moved here last year. This is my go to spot! And I appreciate their cleanliness!

This is my go to place for Chinese food. It is true NY style food, and as a native New Yorker it fills my cravings. The family that runs it is friendly, courteous and professional. That do an awesome job, and I never go anywhere else! In fact, their chicken wings are so good that they are also my go to wing place.

WORSTPOTSTICKERSIVEEVERHAD. Like… Inedible. Very very salty wonton soup. Crappy egg rolls. I get Chinese cravings ever so often and try and find a good spot. I live near by and saw the reviews so I tried it. I will probably get my next craving in 20 yrs. so gross. So disappointed. And hungry

China heaven is close to my place so its a go to for takeout. I have a feeling it is filled with MSG but that won’t deter me… ever. I am usually so full by the time I’m done I feel like I need to be wheeled out. Lots of food, place isn’t that visually appealing but the price is right and I’ve never waited more than 30 min for delivery. If they are swamped they actually tell you which is nice. I always make sure to tip well and they remember that. I get little treats(extra egg roll/crab rangoo if I hint to it) Right by studio movie grill, skip that food and go here before the movie… just don’t fall asleep/meat sweats while watching!

Typical Chinese food, just a bit fresher. Everyone in the place works very hard and gives good customer service, even the little girls who are always there doing their homework. «Are you here for pickup?» she asked me. She has to be all of 9 years old, but she was a sweetie pie. The food is prepared and comes out ready to go pretty quickly. They have a TON of options! It can get a bit overwhelming, but they’re consistently okay every time.

I’ve ordered delivery twice now. They are polite on the phone and delivery is prompt(less than 30 min). The veggie dumplings were delicious. The ma Po tofu was standard but good. My husband got the king pao chicken and he liked it. Value was good — we will order again.

The fried rice had a rancid smell and was generally unappealing. The egg rolls has a strange taste to them as well. I won’t be coming back.

Singapore mei fun noodles are delicious and the portion is generous. The shrimp toast is very tasty although it was greasy(re-fried maybe). I am not a fan of anyone’s yellow«fried rice»…I just don’t get it. The egg drop soup’s broth was too thick, yellow(turmeric?) and tasted of sesame oil, not bad just very different. I’m torn on the wings… they are pretty tasty, but would much rather that wings that have seasoning like lemon pepper or buffalo sauce, etc. were just fried and did not have a crust. The crust is seasoned so no matter the wing flavor that same taste comes through; a decent flavor, just not my thing. I really love their spring rolls with that awesomely light, thin and crispy wrap and insides that are never undercooked. It’s close to home, so I’ll be back.

Speedy delivery, hot food and great value. I did a random search while at the neighborhood pool and really glad I chose to call China Heaven!

I have frequently ordered from them in the past, and it’s always been good. Favorites include the crab Rangoon, BBQ pork spare ribs, orange chicken, general Tso’s and the special diet selections.

This place is located really close to my own house in the same shopping center that holds Studio Movie Grill. They are also located next to McDonald’s as well. I have gotten takeout from this establishment in the past and have to say that the food from here that I have gotten from was good. However, when I ordered takeout lunch from them this past Monday… the chicken fried rice that came with my lunch special was absolutely horrible. I don’t know if it was an off day for them or what. I had ordered their L31 Sesame Chicken lunch special. This came with Sesame Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, one Egg Roll, and one chicken wing. The Sesame Chicken, Egg Roll, and Chicken Wing were absolutely delicious. But, nothing spectacular at all. I did not like nor enjoy the Chicken Fried Rice that came with my Sesame Chicken lunch special at all. I do not know what went wrong that day with them or if it was just an off day for them. But, I know that they can do better. The service is excellent as well as friendly and quick. The atmosphere is none other than your standard average take out Chinese restaurant. It is not like your regular Chinese restaurant like(Golden Buddha) on Clairmont Road in Decatur. To me this Chinese restaurant is not the kind that you would like to just sit down and enjoy the atmosphere while you eat. I have also tried their shrimp toast and their BBQ spare ribs. The ribs were alright at best and their shrimp toast was alright at best as well. But, they were both nothing spectacular or anything. The food is not expensive at all. My LD31 lunch special cost only me $ 6.95, the price is good. However, I am not sure whether or not if I will be ordering take out again from this place again. If I do, I will do an update of this review.

We didn’t feel like ordering take-out, so we actually ate here this past weekend. We’ve ordered take-out from this place before and liked it, so we decided to come here. That, and my husband had a giant hankering to visit the froyo place next door. It’s your typical take-out establishment. Only four tables lining the walls, three booths and one table-and-chairs set-up. We ordered at the counter — I got the chicken and veggie combo that came with two egg rolls. Husband ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo with an egg roll and a chicken wing. One thing I don’t like, no fountain drinks. If I wanted water, I would have to pay for the bottle. And they only have bottled drinks, there were a few cans of Coke though. Also, the cooler they use for the drinks also holds produce for the restaurant. Meh, I wasn’t too sure about that, but they have a 99-score from the health department. We found an booth, which looks like it had seen better days, to sit in. The booth was comfy and had plenty of room. No joke, our food arrived in five minutes. To steaming plates full of food made it to our table in record time. The food was great. A good mix of veggies, perfect amount of sauce and two crispy egg rolls to go with it. I didn’t have to put anything on my food, it was good the way it was served. A nice change of pace — yellow rice instead of the typical fried white rice. I enjoyed that. As with any Chinese food, the more I ate it felt like my plate was refilling. I couldn’t find the bottom of my plate. There was so much food! My husband devoured his sweet and sour chicken… with his bare hands. Granted, we were given plastic forks that weren’t the most suitable for stabbing crispy chicken with. He got a heaping serving of sweet and sour sauce and was basically eating his food like chicken fingers. At the end, he drowned his poor rice in soy sauce and ate it all mixed together. The décor leaves much to be desired, but again, this place is take-out. This is your run-of-the-mill take-out plate known for delivery, not eat-in. I should mention that several families came in and ordered food while we were there. This place seems pretty popular. I ended up with a to-go box and feeling completely satisfied. If only their combos came with an egg roll, crab ragoon AND soup — I’d order take-out from them.

Food is always excellent– fresh and made to order it seems. The first time I ever called I had no menu and they custom created my dishes omitting exactly what I wanted adding my sauces and what I liked, I was hooked! We order here about 1x a month– I could eat it all the time! Consistent fresh and yummy. I recommend. When u call it is hit or miss. Sometimes friendly and easy to order. Other brisk and almost rude, like u have bothered them. That being said I don’t care: fresh, yummy, delivered. I’ve always received my food in a timely manner.

Just like one of the other reviewers — I wish that I could give 3.5 — unfortunately it’s not an option. The customer service with China Heaven is hit or miss — so if you are looking for a place with awesome customer service — try again. When the younger staff is working, I always have a wonderful experience. I receive my total, a timeframe & the delivery person is extremely pleasant. However if I don’t get the younger staff, my ordering experience is rushed and the delivery person comes across as though I am in convincing him. On to the food — the food I get is ALWAYS good with generous size portions — which is why, despite the sometimey customer service — I still order from China Heaven. My favorites are the teryaki chicken sticks, lemon pepper chicken wings & orange beef. I also frequently order orange chicken, general tso’s chicken, pot stickers & shrimp fried rice. Today for the first time I tried the boneless spare ribs & they were tasty.

I really wish Unilocal allowed half stars — I’d give this 3.5. Even if I had a just-okay experience at a restaurant, I tend to give it a second chance because sometimes your first experience can occur on an «off» night(not that I allow second chances to places I’ve had«bad» experiences). Anyway! Enough of my rambling. My first meal from this restaurant was just okay. In fact, my experiences at most Chinese places are never satisfying. I think Chinese would be a more favorite food of mine if I could find a local place(NOT P.F. Changs and the like) for good delivery on a lazy Saturday night. Most places tend to leave me feeling full of artificial crap — swollen with sodium and MSG and wonderingl if that was really beef that I just ate. Not that China Heaven was *that* bad but I was left wanting more, wanting better. I had beef and broccoli and fried rice and it was raveless. Not bad, just not worth wanting to order again. Last Saturday night we were craving Chinese food and China Heaven happened to be the closest choice for delivery. Out of laziness to explore for something else, we decided to give it another go. This time I had lo-mein and Szechuan beef with some wonton soup. Imagine my surprise when the food was fresh and hot(and delivered suuuper fast!) and I didn’t feel sick or lethargic at all afterwards. A big plus in my book! I almost finished all of it, which is rare for me when it comes to Chinese. So, yeah, I’ll be trying them again and hope for two out of three.

So… I’ve had a few dishes from this establishment. The Honey Chicken Wings, Chinese Donuts, Generals Tso’s Chicken, and Fried Chicken Wings. 1. The Honey Chicken– They are NOT playing when they say«honey». They are alright. Not the best, but not the worst. The one thing I hate the most is that they put the wings right on top of your fried rice, so now you’ve got«honey rice» as well. Not a good combo. 2. Chinese Donuts– Unless you want to taste everything they have cooked for the day, I would NOT recommend ordering these. I got these once and tasted shrimp, chicken and some other unidentifiable foods. Needless to say, THOSE went to the trash. 3. Ah… the Generals Tso’s chicken. Now HERE’s where the 3 stars come into place. mmm mmm mmm… so good! It comes with some really yummy stir-fry Broccoli and a few peppers(which I conveniently avoid). Only problem is, if you let the chicken sit for too long in the container it comes in, they will get really soggy. Other than that… to die for! 4. And the fried chicken is REALLY good! Who would have know? The last place I would expect to get good fried chicken wings would be a Chinese joint, but boy was I surprised. Try it, you will like. :-)
