Oh god this place… The sushi was pretty good. But my golly the service, I was under the impression our waitress wanted us to storm out of the restaurant in a fury of impatience. But we waited… And waited. The food arrived, and it was purely detestable. Literally the most shit food I’ve ever had. I think the chicken was covered in bbq sauce. Just walk on by this place, trust me.

tried them again — this time we got two dishes and both were just barely edible.

Fast and cheap delivery, the yummy bento box is a pretty good deal but you can tell you’re not getting the best food

I discovered this place because I work in the area and to my surprise, this is the best-tasting, most reasonably-priced sushi I have ever had!!! Fresh ingredients, always listen to special instructions, only $ 10 minimum to deliver… what more can you ask!?! I don’t know about the rest of you but I hate it when sushi has too much rice, at O Yummy, the ratio of rice to the other ingredients is just perfect. Super Mario Maki has got to be my favorite! Also they give you either free Edemame or free Crab Rangoon with $ 20 purchase. LOVE this place!!!

I’ve ordered from O’Yummy a few times. When I have the coupons have enticed me to get larger quantities of food than I should have. That said, this is good quality Chinese food, and they have decent rolls too. My go to dish, sesame chicken does not disappoint. One time, however, I ordered Kung Pao chicken, which I would’t suggest. Chicken was fine, but way too much celery. The combos are generous portions, are pretty generous portions so I’d recommend going with this

ugh. god i REALLY want to give this place five stars. and I’ve delayed writing this review for months hoping that something would change. first, let’s talk about all the amazing and wonderful things about oyummy. this is the best tasting, freshest, most affordable sushi in town. AND you can have it delivered with just a $ 10 minimum(which i never have to worry about. seriously. just sushi on sushi on sushi from these guys.) oh, and sometimes i call for takeout when i’m 20 minutes away from home and the delivery is estimated at 45 minutes and the delivery guy practically beats me there! it’s pretty much my favorite thing to come home to. super fast delivery. and the delivery man is the sweetest! the french cake maki and the louis maki are two of my favorites. and i LOVE that i can order a side of crab rangoon or egg drop soup with it. i can’t think of any other asian restaurant around that does this! the best of so many worlds. but, oyummy, why must you play games with my emotions? like a bad boyfriend, you’re never there when i actually need you, or when you say you will be. i’ve tried calling to order on many a friday night around dinner time only to find that you are not open.(seriously. i live down the street. and like a crazy girlfriend have even walked down in desperation to check on you and find that the doors are locked and the lights are out.) i get that everyone takes time off for the holidays, but when you say you are open at 11:30 on a wednesday, and i call at 12 for lunch pickup, and nobody answers the phone, it’s just not good for business and makes me sad. maybe you don’t care and i should just stop calling… you are so irresistible, and it hurts me more than it probably hurts you, but if you can’t be dependable, i think we may need to break up. it’s not me, it’s definitely you. but i hope we can still be friends. when i go to oiishi(always my 2nd choice and backup), sure it’s a 40 minute drive to chestnut hill and back but at least i know they will be waiting with a warm(and unfortunately much more expensive) bowl of miso and the lights on.

I wouldn’t order from here again, even if I were drunk, starving, and it was the only establishment open in Boston. General Gau’s was the worst I’ve ever eaten. Fried rice bland. Egg roll covered in duck sauce was marginally edible. I didn’t even bother with the crab rangoon that came free with the General Gau’s. Even at a low price point, I’d rather save my ten dollars and furnish a meal from 7⁄11. Horrible.

I love the food but we ordered on a Sunday at 6 online from Beyond Menu and waited for over an hour before calling to ask where the food was. Upon finally getting through, we were told that they were just waiting for the driver to come back and that the order was ready. 15 minutes after the call, still no food. At this point we are at 1.5 hours for sushi… They have our phone number, at least reach out an let us know that either the food isn’t coming, that you messed up the order or that you are at least going to give us something free for the wait. This is COMPLETE incompetence on their part. Will probably not order from this place again… especially if I want to eat within 2 hours.

Sushi is incredibly delicious and affordable– two things that often don’t go hand in hand. Plus free delivery! Glad I took the risk and tried sushi from a place with a name like OYummy. Not a fan of American Chinese food, so I can’t speak to any of the items on that menu.

Bless you, O Yummy. You have helped to fill some of the Hoy Hing-shaped hole in my life(R.I.P.). I decided to try sating a Chinese craving with O Yummy after reading positive stuff from my fellow Unilocalers. I’ve been routinely disappointed by Brighton Chinese places ever since Hoy Hing closed shop, so I was ready to be let down again. I am happy to report however, that O Yummy has lived up to its nifty name pretty well, and I have since placed a few orders here. I have tried the sesame chicken and General Gau’s, both of which have good flavor. The daily specials come with a choice of crab rangoons or wings as appetizers(a bit limited for combo specials, IMHO), and so far I have only gotten the rangoons, which are tasty. The pork fried is serviceable if not mind-blowing. And for appetizers(which I usually order one of to put me over the delivery minimum), the egg rolls and beef teriyaki are also perfectly fine. Not the best I have ever had, but they are good enough to finish, and that puts them leaps and bounds ahead of other places I’ve tried in the area where I wound up throwing out at least half of everything. Like I said, I like it well enough that I’ve ordered from here a few times. They also give you a good amount of food for little money, which is always a plus. Bottom line: If you have a craving for some quick Chinese food, this is a great place to try!

O Yummy is a tiny place on Brighton Ave. Five or six tables, no seating at the sushi bar. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up for with delicious sushi, sashimi and rolls. O Yummy feeds you good sushi at some of the lowest prices in the area, which is nice on a budget! The place is so small that the same young man has been the sole order-taker every time my husband and I have been there, a good dozen times by now. He’s a nice fella, but sometimes forgets to bring the chop sticks & soy sauce, and you have to be proactive with him to get a water or drink refill — it’s not hard, he’s only ten feet away at all times, so a wave will do. They seem to do a brisk take-out business, and this same fella is also in charge of taking phone orders, so he’s pretty busy. Try not to go to the restroom. It’s a cramped, dank-smelling single located behind a droopy black curtain that somebody rigged across the doorway to the back of the house, and once you pass that curtain, all semblance of order is dashed. They’ve got boxes and stuff piled back there, it’s unpleasant and you’ll want to be fast and get out. The curtain is the best they could do, I guess — last time I went to grab the edge to part the curtain and found myself grasping hands with another person doing the same thing from the other side. Awkward. One odd thing about O Yummy is that the menu also features an assortment of Chinese dishes in addition to Japanese, and it never quite seems right. Crab rangoons, eggrolls, General Gau’s Chicken? I don’t know why they feel they need to expand into Chinese — maybe because another«just sushi» place is located a few doors down. Seems odd. All told, we like it.

This was by far the best sushi delivery deal I could find online — $ 10 minimum and no delivery fee! I ordered Veggie Miso Udon and a Crazy Roll. I thought it was delicious! The soup could maybe have used some more veggies and flavor but it was still very good. The sushi was so good — served in 5 large pieces. Delivery only took 40 minutes — I’ll definitely be ordering my sushi and Chinese from here from now on.

One night after work I was craving for chinese food. I called for pick up and it was ready in 15mins! I got the sweet and sour chicken with pork fried rice. I wish there would have been a little more chicken but it tasted good. It also came with 2 crab rangoon. This is the place if you want something quick to go.

If you need a quick Chinese food fix this is the place. It’s cheap food that’s actually pretty good. I ordered the special which came with crab ragoon, beef teriyaki, boneless spare ribs and pork fried rice. The crab ragoon as stated before has more cream than crab but are still pretty good. The beef teriyaki I did not like at all. The boneless ribs were flavorful but I wish there were more. The rice was pretty good! The price was the best part, 6 bucks. I will definitely be back!

Love this place. Photos I have attached are the MIT(salmon, crab stick, avo, cheese, wasabi mayo). Combo D was the Montauk Maki(tuna, avo, mango, tempura flakes), and Fish Tempura(white fish tempura, cucumber, avo, tobiko, eel sauce)

I’ve started steering away from their daily special and combo plates and I’ve come to the realization that $ 5/$ 6 plates are OK but won’t keep me as a long-term customer. I ordered the Ma Po Tofu with rice and was sad when I got home. The rice wasn’t even full and the container size for the ma po tofu was OK for the price but I was dissatisfied with the tofu and meat. They use super soft(«silky») tofu which easily breaks apart. I’m use to other restaurants using a little more harder tofu so that when I pick it up with chopsticks it doesn’t instantly break into a million little tiny pieces. As for the heat, it was definitely spicy which was great, but I was also disappointed in that they used very little pork, even though the dish is suppose to have pork in it. And I still stand by saying that their crab rangoons aren’t great. They’re just filled with straight up cream cheese amt maybe onions.

na na na na na na na na Batman! The batman maki — crunchy tempura flakes and spicy mayo mixed with raw salmon topped with tobiko. It was great! While I was there, I got the Super mario roll as well. The super Mario is a salmon roll with a piece of mushroom on top. That was good as well, but I’m bias since I’m a Batman fan. The rolls were great though. Then we got salmon sashimi. The salmon cut were HUGE! I think it’s twice, or even trice, as big as it should be. It was fresh and tasty, but too much of it feels like you’re stuffing your face instead of enjoying it. It lost a star because the waitress never came over to refill water. She mostly hung out by the computer/phone. Usually I give them slack since it gets busy during dinner hours. But this time it was just us(two people) in the entire place and the phone rang three times. So it wasn’t busy. Anyway, I haven’t tried the chinese portion of the menu, but so far, it’s anice spot. Worth a visit!

I’m officially in love with this street comprised of 90% food and mostly hole in the wall! Japanese, Thai, Mexican, Pizza, Korean, repeat, repeat, repeat … [end of street] We were hungry after a haircut and sushi always sounds great. The menu is super attractive to nerdies like us — Super Mario Maki? Yes. Batman Maki? YES! And of course, I had to go for that Sake Don for that pure raw flavor. The sushi is incredibly fresh. The batman maki — crunchy tempura flakes and spicy mayo(exquisite) mixed with raw salmon topped with pop-in-mouth tobiko was incredibly fresh and all the various textures, tastes and sensations fought in my mouth(can I make the metaphor of it being like batman fighting the villains?) The super mario with mushroom(what is Mario without Toad?) and salmon on top and fruity fillings. My only complaint is that the sashimi that went into sake don was a little too big and thick, the richness of the salmon is slightly overwhelming, a half in size for each piece would have been perfect. The other side of the menu is Chinese food. The miso soup is real(not instant). The name is cheesy that it’s refreshing. The staff are so nice and all smiles. Loved the small and cuddly atmosphere.

Decent sushi for a great price! Fish was fresh with not too much rice. Meh American chinese food Fried rice didn’t really have anything in it. Chicken was mostly fried batter with very little chicken pieces. Crab Rangoon was all cream cheese. Good take out spot for sushi but won’t be ordering their chinese again.
