Charlie, the proprietor, is always very pleasant to speak to, makes the food right in front of you and is very professional. The delivery drivers are equally nice, even at 1AM when I answer the door a little tipsy! I visit Charlie’s in makeup and with polished nails all the time and have never gotten so much as a «so, what’s the deal?». This is definitely an LGBT(Trans especially) friendly business. The food is great too! Charlie and his cooks take their craft very seriously and the food quality is very consistent. They’re very happy to take custom orders, their prices are great and they usually have a pretty nice selection of already-made pizzas for when I just can’t wait. I always know I’ll be happy when I eat Charlie’s! There’s plenty of seating, it’s 2 minutes away from a B line stop, and they deliver to a pretty large area until 2AM!

Cheap mozzarella sticks and great Mac and cheese bites! It’s exactly what you need after a night of drinking. It’s good«drunk food.» The delivery was a little slow but other than that it was good! The other thing I would critique is their tomato sauce. It’s a little too watery but also too chunky.

I used to really like this place. It was one of my go-to spots for pizza. Recently my experience hasn’t been as great. My order was pretty simple, a pizza and two sodas. I first placed a call when my order hadn’t arrived in an hour and was told that my order would arrive in 10 minutes. When they arrived almost 45 minutes later, the pizza was cold and both of the sodas were incorrect. I called to voice my disappointment and was told I’d receive a partial credit on foodler(since I won’t be ordering from here again) and I’m still yet to receive this. Hopefully they’re able to improve because when it’s on time and hot, their pizza is great!

Quick, late night delivery. Very friendly delivery man. Pizza was O.K. exactly what you would expect for after 1 am!

Great pizzas and great prices. My favorite is the buff chicken pizza and the chicken shawarma.

I live right down the street from here, so I’ve had the food several times. Overall, all of the food I’ve ordered has been great and I usually don’t have to wait longer than 15 minutes for my food. I’ve never ordered delivery since I’m so close, but if you pick it up the wait is not long at all. The pizza is fine, but the chicken caesar wrap and steak and cheese are all delicious.

Great place great people. Treated me and my tipsy friends like welcome guests at 1 in the morning. Mkst people are grumpy at that point, but even though they were super busy, still took the care to make it a great experience. These dudes where hustling. Super on point. Fat greek style slices. I got the veggie slice(super fresh) and chicken parm sub(fantastic). Love it here.

Charlie’s has quickly become one of my favorite comfort food stops in Allston-Brighton. Convenient, reliable, and consistently delicious, Charlie’s take out is a staple for entertaining our visiting friends. Open late Thursday through Saturday, their pizza is one of the best delights after a night out drinking in Allston. Highly recommend the falafel rollup for something different from your typical pizza place, but their marinara sauce is still world class.

Everything I’ve tried so far has been really good. Prices are reasonable, too. I highly recommend the cheese pizza and gyro sandwich! Both are amazing. Staff is ridiculously friendly. I feel welcome all the time. It makes me not want to leave. The interior is clean and simple, like those small East Coast dining places you see in the movies. It’s a nice feeling. You can call in and order take out, but I recommend coming in for both the experience and the combo specials they have posted on the walls. They also have a pretty good-looking list for desserts, smoothies, and frozen yogurt that I have yet to try. I will report back.

The Grilled Chicken Burger has a lot of flavor but not a lot of chicken. Also, I think the prices might be slightly higher than listed on the menu…

Standard take out, hit or miss, decent to order late night, and I have a penchant for their pizza crust. However, after multiple errors including it being implied that I may be lying about them canceling my order and having to wait literally hours and hours for them to verify that I was telling the truth before refunding me, and then another time being hung up on when calling because delivery was taking well over an hour, I think they’re allergic to customer service. People who treat customers with disrespect really irritate me, so no thanks, I’m good.

The food is overpriced and the large sizes would be considered small elsewhere. It’s some of the most expensive pizza prices you’ll find but it’s one of the worst in the area. The waiters are pretty rude and appear very unhappy. The food isn’t awful but I’d advise you to try one of the other nearby restaurants.

Ordered delivery, food was pretty good but was missing the bacon I added on and the extra sauce I added.

I use to love their food and would order it maybe 2 times a week. Thier food use to be fresh and they could change little things like no tomatoes . But the last 3 times I have ordered I was called back and told they couldn’t make a spinach pie without tomatoes meaning they didn’t make it fresh or didnt feel like it and it came to me as a hard pie and cold . Their shwarma and falafel roll use to be my favorite but the last few times I asked no tomatoes and it was full of it as well as other stuff they never put in before and the falafel was rocks. They are not consistent with what they put in it it seems. Just w. e they feel like at the time . My other favorite the grape leaves this time had almost no stuffing and the leaves were so raw it was like chewing hay and again. It came to mw different again with whole sliced tomatoes on top of tabolli which I dont mind but it was covering my food . I am very unhappy with them latley and miss how they were. I am hoping its just lazy workers and be fixed and not new management because it had potential. Do not think I will be back tho and its sad with the meal delivered that is INEDIBLE! Just tossed it in the trash. Lost my buisness.

The owner, Charlie, made me this delicious Veggie wrap. He had me try the veggies and asked if I wanted him to add more to it. It was perfect! The prices are ridiculously low, and they have a great variety of things to try. Also, Charlie is ridiculously handsome haha.

A neighborhood joint that offers a large and diverse menu, decent prices, friendly service and edible food. I’ve been here for pizza(average) and when I was craving a tuna sub(a bit watery but edible). Nothing special here. Next time I will try the falafel. They did overcharge me though.

Buyer beware! If you order from this restaurant your food may never come and you may still be charged! I made an order through foodler last night at this restaurant. It was for one pizza. After a little over an hour I called to see if it was on it’s way. They said they were experiencing delays due to traffic. I called back again after more than 2 hours and requested to have my order cancelled and refunded. From their response, It appeared to me that they had completely forgotten about my order, but they promised to refund me and offered an empty apology. I checked my account today and found I had still been charged in full. I checked my receipt on foodler to see that the charge had been adjusted in the base amount of the order leaving a charge for tip and delivery. For an order that never even came!

Charlie’s is great. I’ve lived in that neighborhood twice during my time in Boston and always make sure to stop in when I’m in the neighborhood. Their steak and cheese is awesome. I love the fries. Seems like I’m the minority here but I think they’re great. What really puts them above the rest is the staff. Anyone I’ve ever interacted with there has been nothing but polite and friendly. They seem to really care about the food and their customers. I’d have given 4 stars for the food because at the end of the day it is just a little pizza/sub shop but the friendly staff bumps them up to 5 stars in my book.

I recently moved to Allston and have been looking for a good food place for cheap. All I wanted for dinner was a bacon hamburger and French fries. We ordered and the food came as expected. But they definitely skimped on the bacon. Not even a whole slice was on the burger… Ok then… Hopefully I wasn’t charged anything extra for that… The burger itself was OK. Not great but not awful. The fries suck. They are literally the crinkle fries you can buy at the supermarket. So bland, no flavor ATALL, not even salt. 3 stars because they *mostly* got my order right. But I think I’ll stick to Rock City Pizza from now on instead of wasting my money here.

Not bad but will probably try another place next time. 2.5 but I’ll be nice and round up to a 3. Got delivery recently for a buffalo chicken sandwich, gyro platter, and fried mushrooms. Our gyro was very mediocre and had hot soggy lettuce which I guess happens with delivery but they weren’t far away from us at all. The buffalo chicken sandwich was ok. The best were the fried mushrooms which were still piping hot and had decent size mushrooms with marinara sauce. FYI: 20% off for new customers with seamless.
