Asia wok is the best chinese in Allston! Their wonton soup is the best I’ve ever had, and I also love their beef teriyaki(very tender, flavorful, not a lot of fat). The outside doesn’t look like much, but the food is really really good. Their delivery through external sites(like Foodler or Grubhub) is awful, but if you call them directly, you will get your food quickly, and it will be hot, especially if you live nearby. Honestly, I moved to Newton a few years ago, and I drive to Asia Wok to get Chinese because nothing else can compare. Give it a shot, you might be surprised.

The food is cheap, but delivery took a long time. Not a bad find, but I’ll probably check out other places before I order from here again.

Beware when ordering delivery. I ordered through foodler, was charged $ 1.50 for a delivery fee, and tipped the driver $ 2. However, going back over my order, I see they charged me an additional $ 2 tip after my order had been delivered. Apparently the $ 2 I had given them to drive half a mile was not enough.

The food came hot and fast! Delicious too. I would definitely order from here again. Egg rolls were good. Chicken with vegetables I would highly recommend. Only«problem» is that rice doesn’t come with the order. The woman that works there called me to see if I wanted to add it. Kind of weird for a restaurant to call to see if you want to add more food but not a big deal. Again, will definitely order from here again.

I got hot and sour soup and vegetable pan fried noodles. I thought is was really good. Quick delivery. Decent price. Large quantity. I think this will be my new takeout delivery for when I gotta have Chinese.

Asia wok is the best Chinese food in allston. I would recommend them fully! ! They have the best boneless ribs I’ve tasted.

Tried them out for the first time today. Got my order delivered. It had a nice long hair in it. No thanks, what a waste of money. Never again !!!

I’m surprised this restaurant only has 3 stars. It’s my go-to for Chinese, hands down. They give a free large crab rangoons if your order is at least $ 15, just ask! Food is mad delicious and reasonably priced.

I placed an order through grubhub. I was expecting longer than average wait due to the weather. My expected wait time was an hour and a half which I was fine to wait for. My anticipated delivery time came and left… I tried calling the restaurant 5 times for an update and I was hung up on twice and the other times no one picked up. I finally called grubhub to cancel the order. They happily called the restaurant for us. For some reason they decided to pick up for grubhub and not me. Our wait time had been extended by TWO hours! No call to up date us what so ever. I happily canceled my order and will never order from this place ever again. This place sucks.

They only get 1 star as that is the minimum. However, this place has several issues. First, it took over 2 hours to arrive and we are less than a ten minute drive from them in traffic. Our food arrived cold and was also not what we ordered; the scallops in garlic sauce had no scallops. Then, when we called the restaurant to request a refund they refused to give us one and the guy yelled at us over the phone. A girl eventually called back wanting to give us a «15% off» credit. However, with their poor customer service, awful delivery times, and shitty food we will not be ordering from them again. Stick with O Yummy or Hong Kong Café 2, both chinese food places in allston that are far better quality and much better customer service(they actually care about their customers).

I was hoping for some fast, cheap Chinese food, and even though the reviews were average, there seemed to be a trend stating fast service. Boy was that wrong. After arriving for pick up twenty minutes later(they told me 10−15min), I still had to wait 25 more minutes. Furthermore, they gave me pork fried rice, not white rice which I ordered… i dont eat meat! I was hoping to like this place since it’s so close, but i was let down.

Asia wok is really fast and the lady at the counter was happy and was really nice. I love that. The actual place is really small though and the good is bland. I have been here a few times in hopes that it would get better. I ordered something different everytime and each time was let down. I do like their egg rolls and recommend them. I will go back for them for sure, but if I didn’t go back I don’t think i would cry over it.

I’m going through all of the places I’ve eaten at in Boston over the years and I remember Asia woo. Not because it is phenomenaly good, but because it is consistant, cheap American Chinese food with generous portions. I always would get the combo platters.

Whenever I’m in the mood for shitty Chinese food, I head to Asia Wok. Their vegetable rolls and boneless spareribs are actually decent, as well as the Mushroom Egg Foo Young(comes with thick brown gravy). Kind of pricey for the quality of food, but still the best deal you can get in the area.

Solid take out great owners i love the egg rolls and the special fried rice they make to my specifications. Dark with extra roast pork and bean sprouts and ham and everything else thay normally goes in fried rice. Try it you’ll be hooked. Tell them the big guy sent you.

I’m not very qualified to review Chinese food, since I don’t like most Chinese food, and the Chinese food that I do like is basically American food in a little white takeout box. I’ve also never been inside of this place, so I can only comment on their delivery. And the delivery is awesome. I do live close by, but I’m not even kidding when I say that I had my food in under 15 minutes and it was STEAMINGHOT. Everything tasted good and seemed fresh-ish(the kind of fresh you get at a Chinese joint.) Nothing tasted soggy or old and the steamed veggies with steamed perfectly.

Not the paragon of Chinese cuisine. Their Hot and Sour soup is good, and their lunch specials are alright. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from their crispy beef.

As suggested by another Unilocaler, I ordered the sesame chicken and crab rangoons. I ordered the large rice with it, but there was nothing large about it. The chicken was mediocre, the rice was kind of bad(rice shouldn’t fall apart into a mush in your mouth), although the crab rangoons were decent. The order came out to be over 20 bucks which is a bit much for this crap.

Hmm. A couple things are strongly in Asia Wok’s favor. For one, they showed up within a half hour(which is pretty gosh darn spiffy). The food we ordered was wonderfully hot when it hit our table, and the delivery guy was even nice enough to present us with an Asia Wok wall scroll(featuring a calendar! pandas!) upon receipt of our food. I can’t comment on the other food, but I ordered stir fried tofu and veggies, with a side of scallion pancakes. The latter were gorgeous and delicious. Fluffy-ish, hot, and greasetastic, I could easily see myself scarfing them down(with a doctor’s note of approval, of course — I’m trying to watch my bad food intake). The tofu dish was… interesting. First off, they were very, very generous with the portion of tofu — I had to wonder if they used an entire pack(not a bad thing!) and the stuff was grilled nicely. The veggies seemed to consist of green peppers and cabbage. The former tasted very fresh and were a joy. The latter? Well, cabbage drowned in sauce kind of scares me. It’s like looking into Mordor’s murky pits for a Volkswagen — you’re not really sure what’s in there, and you’re not positive the prize at the bottom of its depths is worth it. Because, well, *come on.* Yeah, the sauce was too sweet for me. I’ve tried. I really have. I just don’t like sugary things(yeah, even chocolate). I know I have a kind of intolerance to sweetness, and a lot of Asian food consists of sweet glazes, so I can’t say that my impression is one that will echo with those who don’t mind a little sugar or molasses. The rest of you may really dig this stuff. I have to bow to the fact that I may have certain flavor prejudices that color my impression of my meal. What can I say? I prefer salt. It’s not bad. It may even be good. I think. Delivery is awesome, though. I’d recommend giving Asia Wok a try.
