I hired this make-up artist for my sister-in-law’s wedding. She agreed to do the make up for the bride and 4 bridesmaids. She said she was going to send me a contract but as the wedding was nearing, I still hadn’t heard anything from her so I messaged her again asking about the contract and she said she was having printer problems but that she would e. mail it. She did not e. mail it or contact me and the wedding was only about a week away so I contacted her again asking her if she was still on for the wedding and she said she was. She never e. mailed the contract she said she was going to. The morning of the wedding I got a TEXTMESSAGE(NOT A PHONECALL) on my phone at about 10am, less than an hour before she was supposed to show up that said she had gotten in a car accident, was fine but, «didn’t think she could make it». I asked her if she was Ok(she said yes) and I asked her if I could come pick her up and she said no, that she thought she was too far away. I then asked her if she could recommend someone in the area because the wedding was out of town for us and she said she didn’t know anyone and that she«can’t deal with this right now». She didn’t even have the courtesy to call me on the phone that morning, she sent me a text message to cancel FOR A WEDDINGPARTY. She never followed up after with an apology, or any contact for that matter, after the incident and it’s been about 3 weeks. I would never wish this kind of service to any bride on her wedding day. Needless to say, the bride and the bridal party was extremely upset. Looking back, I should have cancelled with her when she couldn’t be bothered to e. mail me the contract. She never gave me a contact number for her either. This was a completely nightmarish situation and I would never recommend her services to anyone, especially on such an important day.
