Distinctive Tile & Stone Design

Had a wonderful experience with Distinctive Tile. From Deb’s initial help with design and tile choice, to Eric’s stellar artistic insight and pristine installation, the process was both enjoyable and rewarding.
Our new backsplash looks great, and it’s just what I hoped it would be.
I highly recommend Distinctive Tile.

We’re in the market for tile for our backsplash for now, for our bathroom (s) in the nearish future… so off to the tile stores we’ve gone. We’d visited the big box stores (who know nothing) and went to Prestige (snooty and had to chase down on a quote) and had kind of lost hope. Luckily we remembered meeting the Distinctive Tile & Stone Design people at the Stabler Home show earlier this year, and I even have a nice little discount to use, to boot.
We showed up just a few minutes after they opened on a Saturday morning… they were having trouble with their door so we had a chance to talk to one of the office gals & one of the installers in the parking lot while one of the owners, Deb, came to save the day. Once we got inside, Deb sat us down with their portfolios to give us some ideas. I saw plenty of things I liked but not exactly what I wanted. We showed Deb a few photos and clarified on materials, and bada bing, she dug around for about three minutes before she found the perfect backsplash tile. Awesome, but a bit over our budget. So she showed us some complimentary tiles in that collection that we could mesh in with the pricey tile to meet our budget. Woohoo! We checked out a few boards to bring home with us before leaving.
We were really appreciative of getting the ability to talk to not only people who understood tile design, but also that one of their installers just happened to be in that morning. The hubs wants to do this project on his own but was able to bounce some ideas off the installer for this project and the bathrooms. It was good to get some clarification on what we could do with install & sealing to make the long-​term care of the tile manageable.
We’ll definitely be back to purchase our backsplash tile before winter sets in!
