We ordered a Chicago deep dish pizza and got a «deep dish» thin crust pizza. This is not what is usually served in Chicago pizza places. When asked about this, they insisted that the thick crust pizzas are stuffed pizzas. Also the prices are too high for non-artisan pizza. Will not be going here again.

Let me just say that if I could give this place a 6 out of 5 stars, I would. Tom and his family own this place and their attention to detail with the quality is spot on. I’m a pizza connoisseur and have had it from NYC all the way to L.A., trying many different places along the way. I have to say that Chicago Pizzeria is well in the top 5 places I’ve tried(I’ve tried many), and is definitely one of the best you can get anywhere here in DFW. The crust, sauce, cheese and overall quality of ingredients is bar none, sourced from the finest places. You will get what you pay for, I guarantee. It’s definitely my wife and I’s favorite so far. Support local business and go try the best pizza you will ever eat.

We are HUGE pizza fans. I ordered a large deep dish Chicago style pizza, half cheese and half peppers/onions/jalapeños and a side salad. The salad was not good it had iceberg lettuce, olives, and mozzarella at the top. I wasn’t a big fan of the ranch either. The pizza’s crust and bottom was very dense and doughy as oppose to fluffy and air-y. I couldn’t cut it with my fork, it required a knife. I ate a couple slices since I paid over $ 30 for it; but I probably wouldn’t order again. I understand the dough has to be dense to hold a thick pizza like that; but I’ve had authentic Chicago pizza and it was nice crispy and fluffy dough. The service and employees were good and very nice people.

This place is scary. We ordered a pizza(deep dish) and were charged $ 50. Are you kidding me? As a Chicago native I can assure you THISISNOTCHICAGOSTYLE. Yuck. Not. Even. Close. The owner is belligerent and totally rude. I will never be back. Surprised it remains open.

Just tried this out for the first time and it was excellent! I am very very picky and it was the best deep dish in town. Tom the owner was very nice and appreciative of it being my first visit. Looking forward to future orders! I agree on the high quality ingredients. Never change this! Thanks Tom.

Goodbye Rosati’s! Hello Chicago Pizzeria! This place makes a mean deep dish pepperoni and meatball pizza. One of my new favorites. I’ll be back again and again and again. Owner is a nice guy, too.

This was great deep dish. It reminded me of Giordano’s in Chicago! I was just about to mail order it in! Great crust, too!

Real high quality ingredients here. Pizzas made in the true Chicago way. Without a doubt my favorite pizza joint locally(DFW metroplex), and absolutely in my top 5 across the country. Family owned. You can taste the love in the pizza. I’d much rather spend a few bucks more for a QUALITY pizza here, and support this local mom ‘n pop shop, as opposed to a chain joint. A+ pizza!

My husband and I ordered the supreme deep dish pizza and a meatball sub. I enjoyed the pizza as it had almost a thick biscuit-like crust – so tasty! The meats and bell peppers were fresh and well seasoned. The cheese was tasty as well. The prices are worth it as the food is made with higher-quality ingredients versus other pizza shops we have tried. My husband basically inhaled the meatball sub and fries! We will definitely be ordering from here again soon!

I got a personal size Chicago style deep dish pizza for takeout. The requested pepperoni and green olives were there, but it could have stood to have a little more of each. The crust was well formed and cooked nicely, but could have used a little more seasoning(mainly salt). The sauce was good could have used a little more spice, but it was a good consistency and tasted good. Finally, the cheese was spot-on: right amount, great taste, nice chew. In short, this was really close to a four star pizza, and to be sure, this really was a pretty good pie. I’ll try another one at some point, maybe with different/more toppings and see how things go. I understand that personal size, especially on something like a Chicago style, might not the be the best showcase for the goods.

Since moving to Allen, I have become a regular customer. I’m no expert on Chicago pizza, but good is good. I usually get the deep dish. It’s a great change of pace to other pizza in the area. Friendly customer service too. The only negative is that it’s a little on the pricey side… in my opinion.

The pizza was excellent. We ordered both a thin crust and deep dish to try them both and have left-overs. They have plenty of toppings and cheese. It did remind me of other Chicago pizza places. There is limited seating area but take out and delivery are options also. I expect to see this place grow in time.

While visiting family, I stopped in for a pizza. The food was cold and refrigerated. They didn’t put the correct toppings on the pizza and they didn’t seem to care. I will never return to this place again and urge others to do the same. Do not waste your money in a place like this.

Tom is from Chicago and makes his own Italian Beef and homemade sausage for their delicious pizzas. pan or thin crust. worth the trip to Allen TX. more carryout than dining in with only 3 tables. Owner is very nice and will make it your way!

Ordered carry out. Pretty good pizza and incredibly friendly staff in a small mom n pop setting. Not as thick as Gino’s East or the other big names in Chicago, but it had plenty of leftovers after watching some Hawks hockey on TV. That’s about as good of a compliment as I can give for thick pies. Bonus points for having jalapeños that were actually spicy after serving

This is the closest Chicago style Pizza to actual Chicago that I’ve had. Very dense pizza and will last for several meals. Don’t be picky about toppings here… You’ll get the best experience if you get the supreme combination with sweet peppers or all the meats. If you want just a few toppings, go with the thin crust. Deep dish is best with lots of topping options in my opinion. Is pricey when compared to the big chain stores, but the difference is noticeable. Very delicious and freshly cooked.

Not bad, but to be honest, I expected more. We ordered the deep dish pepperoni and jalapeño. The pie was loaded with cheese and pepperoni but only had a few jalapeños, which weren’t spicy at all. The crust was a bit hard. Would try again but just wasn’t as great as some of these reviews claim.

Love this place. It’s right down the street. I lived in Chicago and was stoked when I saw it was going from Mr. Jim’s to a Chicago Pizza place. The Italian Beef Combo wet with Sweet peppers is so good. Just how I remember it living up there. The stuffed pizzas are great as well. Highly recommend. It’s not a chain, family run local small business owner. For those not familiar with Chicago pizza. Just remember a stuffed pie does not cook in 10 min. It takes time. It is so worth it too.

This was actually the first true«Chicago style deep dish» pizza I’ve had outside of Chicago. I got a small supreme, and it clocked in at right at 5lbs. One slice is definitely plenty, so it should last a few days. My wife had one of the baked pasta specials, and she said it was really good too. It was a little pricey, but considering we will each get multiple meals out of it, not TOO bad. I had a similar experience as some of the other reviewers with placing my order over the phone, and what I assume is the owner’s daughter taking the order. But everyone was very friendly, and it’s nice to see a family working together and the kids learning the ropes. I’ll definitely be back to try the thin crust pizza, hotdogs, and sandwich offerings.
