I came to an event a couple hours early and decided to stop in for dinner and a beverage. I will start with the good, they had Bell’s Oberon. It was cold and very reasonably priced. The food was hot and my fries were great. Now the bad, the fish I ordered had the saltiest batter I have ever had. I worked in the food industry for a time and it takes a lot for me to complain. I ended up scraping all the batter off and ate my fish. I let the server/bar tender know they needed to cut back on the salt and she did apologize sincerely. That being said, the owner came over to talk and she was very nice too. But, she claimed no salt was added. She should have tried it. I would never sell something I didn’t try. There were a few people having a good time. Which never bothers me(hello, it’s a bar). But, placement of the pool table by the front door(I had to maneuver around someone’s shot) might not be the best place. So would I give it another shot? Yes. They had plenty of other reasonable items on the menu, and craft beer is my weakness. Is it a dive bar? Yes, but everything was clean. Just showing its age.

I really would not let my own sibling or mother go into this joint. Its a pretty scary place mostly locals that go there, pretty hard people. I went in one night after work for a drink and didn’t even finish half of it after I had two very drunk men in my face hitting on me, a random dog roaming around in there, and just plain feeling very comfortable. I will say the drinks were nice and strong though.
