PLEASEREAD!!! WARNING! If I could leave a negative, I would. Service, what service, oh, the horrible rude service! Then they charge mandatory 15% fee on top of your bill(and we never got any service except when they forced us to order min. One drink per person!). Songs are very limited and the machine doesn’t work well. The speakers sounded horrible, like it was blown, with static and distortion. It’s a karaōke, and they take down your info like you’re being investigated! DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEORMONEY, THISPLACEIS A RIPOFF!!!

Terrible karaōke venue. This place has the worst karaōke systems. The touch screen on the karaōke machine is non-responsive, often requiring me to push a button three or four times before anything registers. The search function was one of the worst I’ve ever used. Most times, I was not able to find the song name or the artist name using the search function, even though the artist/song was in the system. Also, some of the songs were muffled and/or the lyrics did not line up with the melody. One song didn’t even have lyrics, it was just a music video! To top it off, you are required to purchase one drink per person at $ 2.50 for water and up to $ 5 for tea. This would be fine if the drinks weren’t so terrible. And the customer service is the worst. They messed up my order twice — first by giving me a wrong drink, then by giving me a hot drink instead of a cold one. When I asked them to simply just give me a cup of ice to cool my drink down, they gave me an attitude. Why the attitude? I didn’t even ask them to make me a new drink, I just wanted ice! Overall, this is the last time my friends or I are coming here. This was the worst karaōke experience we’ve ever had.

Worst place ever. Seriously, no service at all! And charged us 15% tips. 2. Who, a person with common sense will ever carry a passport to karaōke? You are not TSA for Christ sake. This place is ridiculous.

3.5 stars~ energy was touted as one of the nicer KTV in SoCal, and while it has a modern veneer I unfortunately found song selection lacking. The rooms are nice and clean and I liked the iPad system. The service was also great with an employee taking drink orders and consistently checking to see if everything was working. Most of the old music videos were actually accurate and decent, though a few did have the standard«woman walking around foreign country.» I just wish they organized the system so it’s easier to find newer songs. The highlight was definitely the service, they adjusted room temperature, took care of drinks, and were generally friendly.

What kind of place forces you to buy a drink per person? The cheapest drink was a $ 2.75 water bottle, not to mention the interface is horrible and they automatically charge you a service fee. Any other Korean place(with song books) is way better. Never coming to karaōke places like this again.

PLEASEREAD!!! Do not come here folks! Why? Automatic 15% service fee charge(They barely serve us) Each person is required to buy one drink from them(Water/soda @ $ 2.75 and all other drink started at $ 5 dollars) On top of rude services $ 38 per hours for weekends Parties of 8 end up paying $ 153 dollars for 2 hours and other unreasonable charges. Overall, nothing special about this place; you can go to any other karaōke place for cheaper price and better services. Ask them all the charges because you book a room. Good luck if you still want to come here for karaōke. :[

I’m a karaōke maniac! My voice can be really annoying, but who cares? Karaokes were invented for people like me. Compared karaōke places in Koreatown, Energy has a larger set of songs/artists in different languages including: Spanish, English, Chinese, Thai, Korean. I must say I’ve actually had a good experience with Energy. I once went during a weekday and it ended up being pretty cheap($ 18 per person for the whole night). However, I spent almost $ 30 for 2h of karaōke yesterday(Saturday). The staff wasn’t clear with the pricing and extra fees which it’s terribly disappointing. I am now broke and I guess I have to stay home this week.

PROS: –Hello Kitty room(for smaller groups only) –birthday discount(10%) –VIP room(for more than 15 people) is super spacious, clean, and has cool lights. Not to mention a HUGE screen. $ 98/hour… –Touch screen makes it easy to put songs in queue –Has a fair selection of english songs. May not have the newest T-swizzle but it has all the classics us 80s/90s kids appreciate… like BSB, NSYNC, Britney, Spice Girls, etc. With their music videos! CONS: –1 drink minimum… the drinks are expensive too. We went with bottled water and some how that added over $ 100 on to our bill(I guess for 20 people, but that means it was like $ 5 a water!!!) No alcohol. Their other location in Hacienda Heights does serve alcohol though, but do I really want to go all the way there? They’re really strict and have a security guard in front who checks your bags. –slightly rude and standoffish staff, especially if you don’t speak chinese! I hate it when places do that. Overall this is an OK place as a last resort to karaōke if you don’t want to go to K-town.

The service is disgusting here and seriously I have only been inside for 5 mins and I feel like walking out. the waiter call us a LAIR for bringing milk tea in and not telling them when they ask us about the drinks. I feel offended because being call a liar is directly insulting my integrity and I know it was our fault as they don’t prohibit beverages inside, but I really do not appreciate being call a LIAR rudely by the staff. I won’t be so mad if he just politely asked us to.

This place is like biting into a red, shiny apple only to find it’s rotten inside. The décor and ambiance are good but that’s about it. The sound quality is horrible. The mics are crap, they’re either cutting in/out due to low battery or they make the most annoyingly loud clicking noises at random times during songs. We had to ask them not once, not twice, but seven times to change out our mic. 7! If that weren’t bad enough, I cannot even tell you how much time was wasted just selecting the songs. The User Interface/Experience was simply the worst. It’s a complete mess! Simplified Chinese!!! They have a surprising amount of english songs but so many more that aren’t searchable, yes, not searchable. You have to scroll endlessly through menus that don’t end but seemingly repeat only they don’t. They make your order drinks which are $ 5/ea. which is quite common in Japan/China/Taiwan so I wasn’t really surprised there. THEYCHARGEYOU15% SERVICECHARGEAUTOMATICALLY. No outside food or drinks! No alochol! No thank you! I’ll definitely never come back here again!

**WARNING** DONOTCOMEHERE !!! It is ridiculously overpriced & they are very shady with the way they charge you. I went w/a group of 6 which is $ 38/hr. About $ 7 – 8 a person(15% service fee included) 1. They automatically charge you a 15% service fee. Like seriously. Only really cheap asian places do that lol. 2. They force each person to buy a drink. The catch is that the drinks are SUPER overpriced. $ 2.75 for water/soda, EVERYTHINGELSEIS $ 5+!!! I bought a strawberry lemonade. It tasted like sugar water. But it was expensive sugar water. 3. Their clock is faster than yours so make sure you ask them what time you came in based on what their clock says! Otherwise if you use your own phone you’ll end up staying longer. They don’t charge you until you’re done, I think thats how they charge you if you stay past 1hr. 4. They don’t sell alcohol. Enough said. Bottom line I would never come back. However their microphone made you sound better than you actually are sooooo that was the only plus… ? Advice to management: don’t force the 15% service fee & the drink lol

DONOTGOHERE! Unless you are willing to spend a lot of money and prefer to sing Asian pop songs. It was really expensive for a large group to go, because on top of the cost just to do the karaōke, they added a service charge AND it was required for every person to buy something to drink. We all ordered water(9 people) and that alone came out to nearly $ 20! Water! Crazy! We weren’t even thirsty! PLUS they don’t serve alcohol. Have you ever seen drunk people singing? It’s awesome. Can’t do that here, unless you come in already drunk. They should already include the service charge in the price when they explain everything before you enter, not tack it on in the end. The karaōke technology was cool, but if you don’t know how to read the Asian language they have on there, it is really difficult. The touchscreen was almost entirely in an Asian language. And the selection of American music is limited. My advice? If you primarily enjoy American music, can not read any language other than English, don’t want to spend too much, and drink alcohol, find somewhere else.

I love coming to this Karaōke for their happy hour specials, on Sunday’s its only $ 16/person(includes a drink!) from 2:30 — 8 pm. We stayed for a good 3.5 hours and that was plenty of singing time! The facilities are clean, air conditioned, and the rooms are maintained well. We had a few issues with feedback but they kindly adjusted the settings for us so everything ran smoothly. I’d highly recommend Energy karaōke for HH.

Where else can you sing canto pop and drop it like it’s hot?! — — — — — — – We came here with two friends for the first time a few months ago. It was a really fun time! $ 110 for 4 peeps Friday night, 3 hours. You are required to order one non-alcoholic drink per person. Even though this is a Canto place, they have lots of English songs but the songs are not sorted(or maybe they are, with a windows vista search engine?) Some of the songs picked by us(and by we, I mean me) Drop it like it’s hot I just called to say I love you Pay phone I want it that way 3 am Surprisingly fun experience — gotta do it again soon!

Been coming here for a long time. Great selection of songs, and they’re always updating it with newer songs. Everything is touch screen and wireless. This place gets packed, so I recommend calling in and reserving a spot for Happy Hour, Fri-Sun 2:30−8PM, $ 16 per person, which includes 1 drink. Sometimes they shut off the system before 8 though… so that sucks because they want to kick you out for their night time rush. This happened to me recently, so I recommend not to do this if this is a new thing recently.

ONLY come to Happy hour 3−8pm including one drink Other than that you will be broke if you come here. And I don’t understand why they charge you for 5 people if we were only 4 people but got only offered a room which suppose to be designed for 5. They should always charge you per person and not for a invisible 5th. Just excuses to make money. They always cut you off 5 min before ending. 7:55pm They add tips and they tip themselves which is unbelievably rude. So don’t tip extra if you pay. Only pay what it says on the check.

Great deal with their Happy Hour special! For $ 16 a person, you can sing your heart out from the time they open to 8pm on a Saturday or Sunday! And one drink included per person. Good selection of song titles, good atmosphere, clean rooms, touchscreen control — although you may find yourself ripping your hair out while trying to navigate through the screens. You can also order other snacks and drinks, and they’ll deliver it to your room. Great service. Good experience overall.

I’ve decided to write an updated review(despite the fact that I am giving it the same ratings) just to add a few more pointers about this place. For those who enjoy karaōke for a good deal, I recommend coming on the weekends. We came here Saturday for happy hour, which is from 2:30 — 8:00pm with a flat rate of $ 16 per person with a free drink. Here are some updated experiences: 1. They still have not fixed their broken soap dispensers(in the private bathroom stalls). I don’t know about you, but that is just unappealing as there may be spread of E. coli on those microphones and door handles. Practice good hand hygiene! 2. Their electronic system can be faulty. The whole system had to reboot at least 3 – 4 times during our visit here this past weekend. The touch-screen froze and our selected songs were wiped out from the system. It was kind of annoying having to look up those songs again. 3. I recommend calling ahead of time to reserve a room. We were able to get a Hello Kitty room! Leopard print walls, pink couches, and Hello Kitty wallpaper! Pretty nice. 4. They have updated their songs, however it may not be as thorough compared to other places like Ziller. If you want to sing mostly Asian songs, then this place is great. Otherwise, if you only want to sing English songs — this might be an okay experience for you. 5. I don’t know what it is about these microphones, but every time that I come here with friends — there is always at least 1 microphone that resonates more than the other. Perhaps this place needs to order newer microphones to replace the older ones. The $ 16 happy hour rate for all you can sing is very appealing. However, I’ve had inconsistent customer service experiences here. If I see any future improvements to any of my earlier stated experiences, then perhaps I will raise one more star for the rating.
