The donuts are great… if you can get some! They sell put super early. So unless you get up at 5 am don’t bother!

Sad when you pull up at 11:58 and all lights are off, and shelves are cleared into the freezers.(closing hours posted for Noon)

Great donuts and awesome phở bowls on the weekends! The staff is great and the place is perfect for a Saturday morning donut and coffee break.

I stopped in at 11:00 for a dozen doughnuts with the kids. To my surprise there was ONE doughnut in their case! They’re open until 2:00 and this IS a doughnut shop, right??? I told the lady I was there for a dozen doughnuts, and all she said was«we’re out». OK… So I asked her if she had any in back and her reply was«NO». Not even an I’m sorry or if you give us 10 minutes we’ll have some, or go kick rocks… nada. They had 3 more hours of being open. I can see if they had a limited selection being later in the morning, but one doughnut?! I will not be going back. I’ll go to Country Doughnuts instead.

Amazing fresh donuts. We bought a dozen and every single one was good. Can’t wait to go back. Very nice employees as well.

Donuts are great, prices are reasonable, ambience is great and service is excellent. Very nice group of people own/work here. They always have great conversation. Tvs are always on whatever is current and popular. Donuts and coffee are fresh and good. The place is really more than a donut shop, it’s very modern and ultra clean. Service is so important and try provide great service.

Went there today for the first time after reading all the rave reviews. Well, they were right. Great doughnuts. Had a Boston cream: cream tasted like what Boston cream should, chocolate frosting was chocolaty, and the dough was light and fluffy; maple bacon: bacon was okay, maple frosting tasted like maple syrup, and the dough was light and fluffy; coconut: lots of coconut flakes, cake dough was moist and a bit crumbly, not overly sweet; everything doughnut: moist, fruity, and tasty. We ordered lunch also and had the phở, chicken pad Thai, and a banh mi. Phở came nice and hot, broth clear and flavorful, and the rest of the ingredients were tasty. Pad Thai was really good and had a good ratio of meat/noodles/vegetables. Banh mi had a good among of ingredients, pork was flavorful and melts in your mouth, vegetables fresh and crispy, baguette was fresh and had a good crust. Prices very reasonable. All of the above cost around $ 25. It appears to be a family-owned shop and everyone was very friendly. Overall an excellent experience. We will be back.

I went this morning at 10am and they had about 10 doughnuts left. I was disappointed to say the least. If you have the demand, up the supply.

GOHERENOW!!! Awesome, just awesome! We stopped by here since we were running errands and I was craving donuts. I am so glad we did. We picked up a dozen assorted between cake and glazed and they were all amazing! The glazed were so light and fluffy, perfectly done. The cake were sweet but not overly dense. We will be back to try the Thai food since we are always looking for a great place to get Thai.

Okay so their donuts are amazing(and based on the other reviews I’m not the only one that thinks so), but I am super thrilled they are now offering phở and other Vietnamese food with a twist on the weekends! Their phở is incredibly flavorful, the banh mi(fresh and amazing sandwich) is out of this world and the pad thai was delish. If you are looking for incredibly fresh and delicious food you must try this place! Even if you’ve never had phở it will be the best thing you have tasted in a long time!

3.5 Let me start by saying the donuts were extremely tasty and very fresh. However, Maybe I came at a bad time(10am), but I was really disappointed in the selection. There were only about 10 different types of donuts and each only had about 2 – 3 donuts left. Now I know I should probably take that as a good sign of how popular they are. It is just hard to come in and not have a great selection. I basically ended up with only traditional donuts(glazed, sprinkles, plain). All the fantastic flavored I had read about were out. I’ll go back again and hope for a better selection.

Came here today with my husband and friend for the first time!!! We were VERY impressed!!! The owner and his wife were very friendly, as was the guy behind the counter. The owner came over and introduced himself which we really appreciated. The donuts were so good!!! They were super soft and had a great assortment of flavor. We also had the Phở and Chicken Pad Thai! Omg!!! It was amazing!!! It is so nice to find a local place that offers these selection! We will be back indefinitely!!! Happy to support a local business with a great selection of food! :-)

Bought their groupon and headed there with the kids for breakfast one morning. Best donuts ever. Seriously. Everyone was very nice and patient as the kids slowly decided which donuts they wanted. Place is very clean. Plenty of space if you want to eat there too which was nice. One suggestion though is to put the lunch menu up. I had asked what they offer for lunch but after placing our order and checking out, both the lady behind the counter and I completely forgot about the lunch menu. So it’s still unknown to me.

I tried two times calling them for an order. I left a message with a guy that answered last week and again on their voicemail on Friday and got no call back. I was trying to put in an order for 30 yes 30 dozen donuts for an employee appreciation day where I work. I wanted to give our money to a local business but now will be taking our business elsewhere.

Can I give them a 6? Honestly, talk about a gem. It’s only downfall is that it’s practically hidden on Algonquin Road and really doesn’t look like much from the outside, but for goodness sake, go in! It’s like a completely different place inside, and unlike nearly every other donut shop I’ve been to, they have an atmosphere that makes you want to stay and relax for a while. The donuts themselves are sinful, especially the«Everything» Donut Holes. Along with that, they brew the sugar into their iced coffee, which is a very nice touch.

Very good donuts and I’m happy to support a small local business owner. I had a glazed and a apple n spice donut. Yum

Intrigued. The donuts are great. We tasted the German Chocolate Cake, Chocolate Glazed, and a Bear Claw. The bear claw was glazed, which is something I’m not used to(I think I like Panera’s better). The service was excellent. The woman behind the counter was generous with every customer preceding me. She gave everyone a sample donut hole, and encouraged everyone to come back during the weekend, for some«Asian pastries». So when it got to me, she was equally warm and friendly. As with the previous customers, she invited me to return on the weekend for Asian pastries. So, I asked her, «What’s an Asian pastry?» She told me bao and bahn mi! At that point I glanced around to see if I was still in a donut shop… Then I saw a sign that said there was Phở on the weekends! This place has like a weekend alter-ego. I’ll be there soon, and if the Asian food holds up, I’ll upgrade this to 5 stars!

Delicious selection of hand made donuts! I really enjoyed the wide variety I had to choose from. The owner even brought some freshly made crème-filled donuts out of the kitchen when we commented that they were out. Really great service and good coffee to boot!

Roll ‘n Donut has opened a second location in Algonquin! The original is in Elgin and I’ve been pleased with them from there. So imagine my happiness when I passed by this newer location while house sitting this week. This location has tons of parking and surprisingly, a ton of seating inside, as well. You can not only order donuts but they have a few other baked goodies plus drinks including coffee. When I’ve popped in, I’ve been the only person around. They open at 5am so I imagine most do look I did and take their treats for the road. Donuts were 99c each but they have coupons on their website for 2 donuts + coffee for $ 1.99, special deals for 6 donuts, etc. The lady working the register greeted me right when I walked in, was nice to me while I was there and gave me a nickle back instead of two pennies on my change! I appreciated her thoughtful gesture. :) They bake their donuts twice daily so depending on the time you get there, they could be super amazing and fresh or they could taste like they’ve been out a little while. Given the choice between Dunkin Donuts and Roll N Donut, one should always pick the latter. There donuts are much more fresh, more variety, friendlier workers plus — fight the man!
