Fedwa, who is the small business owner of this one-​person shop is WONDERFUL! She really takes her time and listens to what I am asking for and gives her recommendations too. I have had her cut/​highlight my hair a few times and it has always come out looking great!
I am a natural blonde and she always gets the highlight color perfect.
She has been super flexible with her schedule and has always been on time for me.
If you live near Old Town, don’t pay for those overpriced shops on King! Go see Fedwa!

I came here for a haircut and highlight with a Groupon. After realizing highlights would not work for my hair (I had an existing ombré) she proceeded with just the cut and deep conditioning treatment. The cut came out AMAZING. I have heavy and thick hair, so she cut a ton of layers in and texturized my hair. I shed so much hair without losing length! One of the better haircuts I had.
The space is really small, and it’s just her in the salon. She was quiet so it felt kinda awkward. But she really took her time and I was so happy with the results.

Definitely loved this place and service. The hair highlights were great! Planning to come back again.

Great haircut but the studio is a bit crammed. It’s located in a consortium of hair and nail salons. Also beware of extra charges for long hair. (I normally don’t get charges for long hair so was a bit surprised when asked to pay extra.)

I followed Fedwa over from another salon because she gives me a cut that looks great and feels great every time no matter what season we’re in. I recently got a haircut while traveling that was terrible and way too short, but I came to Fedwa and she fixed it and shaped it up beautifully without taking off any more length! I knew I could trust her to make me look great. In addition to being a fabulous hair stylist she is a sweet heart and treats her clients like old friends. She’ll call you back on her day off, shoot you a text to schedule an appointment and is really flexible. Her hours are also great, so you can work with her to schedule something that works for you after work, no problem. When you come to Sophie Studio you gain a long-​time personal hair stylist, a great cut and girlfriend! I’ll be coming back again and again.

Fedwa did a FANTASTIC job on my hair. She listens to what you wants, uses her knowledge and expertise to make it work for you based on your hair, or suggests a better idea. She is phenomenal at what she does. I love my hair and will be back in another month and a half!

I started getting my hair done via Groupon on 9÷25÷2014 at Sophie Studio. I am always apprehensive when trying new places, but the setting was perfect. It is a single person salon in a large building with other salons, but that is exactly what I like about it because she is completely focused on your hair and it is done much quicker than in a regular salon where they are doing multiple clients’ hair at once.
Fedwa is sweet, knowledgeable and is a perfectionist, which is what you want for a hairstylist right? For making appointments she just has me text her and she responds quickly and one time she even came on her day off to do my hair!!! I get partial highlights, cut and style for a great price. She has turned my hair around and it is so healthy and I get so many compliments.
I wouldn’t hesitate with trying this place out! I love having a «regular» hairstylist and not bouncing around!

Good a really good haircut here. Went here for the first time because of a Groupon deal, but would come back again. Good experience and would highly recommend. Weekdays are easier as she is pretty booked on weekends.

I have found this studio via Groupon. It is inside Sola Salon and it is really nice and clean studio. Fedwa was my staylist and she was nice and professional. I asked her to trim my hair and she did really great job. I am happy with my hair and I will be back again.

I found her via a Groupon deal and it went better than I expected. I wanted to have short hair for the first time. She asked a few questions for how I wanted it cut (can’t remember a stylist who has) and she did it well! She even gave me a few styling tips for the new look. Very satisfied!

I bought a Groupon to have a cut, deep conditioner, & partial highlights done. She did an amazing job! I would totally recommend her. She is a very sweet lady who knows hair! I will definitely be going back to her for my hair needs. :)

She took my hair from long/​unstyled to chin length and BEAUTIFUL. Professional AND stylish. All I have to say is… WHY DIDN’T I COMMIT TO HER ONCE I NEEDED A TRIM 7 weeks later???
Today, after a depressing visit to my local Hair Cuttery, I realized that NO, just because a grown-​out hairstyle currently exists on my head, an average stylists at Hair Cuttery CANNOT trim it while maintaining the style. (Not necessarily anyway… and that’s not enough of a guarantee for me to want to risk that again!!!)

Fedwa does an excellent job every time! Even my fiancé goes to see her now! It took years, but I’ve finally found my stylist here in NoVA!

I got my hair highlighted here — the highlights were ok, but she didn’t even bother to fully dry my hair. It was later in the day, and the temperatures were dropping to the 30s. Seems like she cuts corners. Might want to try elsewhere.

I purchased a groupon and live about 45 mins away from her studio! She did an amazing cut and color for me. I was so pleased I went ahead and made an appointment with her for the next time! :)

Fedwa did a super amazing job of making my hair look and feel healthy by giving an amazing cut/​highlights to brighten my whole appearance. My hair is very smooth now and lays perfect! Very pleased with the results

Fedwa did an amazing job on my hair. She is the only stylist for this salon. You walk in to the building and there is a directory and map directing you to her studio. I asked for a cut that I thought would be pretty complicated but she got it perfect. I have received many complements on my hair. She does a great job of communicating during her consultation and has good hair instincts, guiding me on my decisions for my hair. Will be back for my next cut.

After hesitating about whether to do highlights or not Fedwa suggested ombré style for me. She did an amazing job. My hair looks very natural and fabulous at the same time. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for personal treatment in a professional atmosphere with someone who is very considerate to all styles.
