Great spot if you’re looking to get a good haircut! Kim, the owner of this establishment, has been cutting my hair since I moved here to Virginia about 4 years ago. She also has other great barbers and stylist that work there as well so if she is busy, the others won’t do you wrong!

We just got a toddler haircut here, and they were great. I paid $ 11, and there was candy, toys, and drinks out and she took her time despite the fact that he was squirming. The lady who cut our hair had previously worked with cartoon cuts and had great experience working with my son (who finished two lollipops during the cut) and she double and triple checked throughout the cut that I was going to be happy with my son’s haircut. We are going here forever.

See Kim or Lisa. I’ve had both these ladies cut my hair and they’ve done an excellent job. $ 10 for a haircut is great too. They have a TV and toys for the kids. They also offer complimentary sodas, Capri suns, waters, and lollipops for the kids. A haircut is only $ 10!!! Good luck beating that!
My son had some guy in there cut his hair. He didn’t do good at all. But I went back the next day and Kim gladly fixed it for him.

I had been going to a different barber but i decided that they where to far & i needed a closer barber. I saw that every review of Kim was great & that I couldn’t pass this opportunity. I was not disappointed. I love my fresh cut. I will say that Kim appears, not 100% sure, to focus more on military short haircuts based in her experience being at ft. belvior. I was surprised that she even used an attachment with the haircut machine to suck up my hair. Clean! very impressed. I’m a simple guy when it comes to my cut so im happy. As always if your picky about who cuts your hair it best to try & get a little trim & go from there. Will be a long time customer. 15 $ for men & 12 $ for military

My boyfriend got a haircut at the salon while we were shopping around the area, it was so great to find one that OPENS ON SUNDAY … The salon is spacious with many seatings so I could wait and read some magazines.
Kim, the hairdresser, is very friendly, we were promptly greeted. She seems skillful and efficient. The boyfriend is very happy with his new haircut for the summer, short and stylish. Reasonable price with fast service, we will definitely come back soon.

Kim is awesome… plain and simple. Great place to get a haircut. Consistently perfect and extremely fair price (I have paid a lot more for worse!). The shop is impeccably clean and well kept. I really like the hot towel after a close cut, but mostly I just like that there is no pressure and Kim will take the time to get it right, even for the pickiest customers. I make a point of avoiding the high volume, low quality, barbershops on military installations where you might save a buck, but never know what you are walking out with. I never feel rushed here and I don’t have to tell Kim how to cut my hair. She remembers! She’ll also knock out a damn good haircut if you are pressed for time… the point is, she listens to what you want. I’ve had a lot of barbers (a new one with each military move) and Kim is the best. I found her at the Fort Belvoir hospital and followed her here to this convenient location just up Route 1 from the Pence Gate. She is also open on weekends which is very convenient for me. I will take my kids here when they are old enough to get haircuts because I know I can trust Kim to be patient and kind with them. I also love the fact that I am supporting a local business and the American entreuprenulrial spirit (Kim is the owner/​operator).
Run like heck from the mass volume on post barber shops and go see Kim. You will save time and be happier with the end result.

I had a great barber, but his location was inconvenient. As a long time Mount Vernon resident, it was a great day when I found Kim and Mt. Vernon Barber Zone. I walked in without an appointment and was warmly welcomed by Kim. Since it was my first time, I only got a trim but left extremely impressed by the cut and especially by Kim. She is a wonderful barber and a very friendly owner/​operator. I returned three weeks later for a full haircut and brought my 18yr old son. We both liked our cuts and the service. As I promised Kim, my older son visited when he returned from college and he, too, liked the results. Three men with three different hairstyles and expectations. Kim satisfied all of us and we now have a new, local and most importantly excellent barber. The location is convenient, prices are reasonable, and the barbershop is clean, bright and comfortable.

I’ve been going to Kim since I moved here 3 years ago, and followed her to the new location. My son is also picky about his haircut and we both refuse to go to anyone else. She’ll welcome you in, treat you like family, provide excellent service, and give you a great cut at a good price. She even remembers how you like your haircut. It’s hard to find a great barber, and you won’t find a better barber shop than the Mt. Vernon Barber Zone.

Ms kims been cutting my hair for the last 2 years. Great haircuts. I don’t trust anyone else! He business is very child friendly as well. Not expensive as she offers all kids of discounts.

Since I moved here Kim has been my only barber and she does a great job every single time, I won’t trust anyone else with my hair.
Excellent knowledge of military haircuts; great hours and friendly staff, the facilities are nice and always very clean.
If you’re looking for a barber stop looking and go to Kim’s barber shop you won’t have a better experience.
I would recommend them to a friend.
